Some clarifications.
This project was sponsored by IB World Literature.
We decided to make a Tumblr for Hamlet because he's very emotional and dramatic, to put it bluntly, and Tumblr seemed like an appropriate environment for that.
We decided to mirror on the first three acts with a specific focus on the relationship between Hamlet and his father. We really wanted to highlight how reliant Hamlet's decisions are on what his father tells him, even though his father, the ghost, is barely actually in the plot. Despite this minimal presence, the ghost influences much of Hamlet's actions, and we tried to illustrate that through the ghost account's minimal questions.
Still, Hamlet is ultimately the one who brings about the destruction around him. We wanted to portray the isolation Hamlet puts himself through by acting crazy--whether Hamlet is actually insane or not is up for debate; either way, it serves to isolate Hamlet and solidify his iffy and ultimately tragic decisions because nobody but the ghost is able to reach him in a meaningful way. We've represented this isolation through the glitchy text, which increases in frequency as the plot progresses and Hamlet acts more and more insane. The glitchy text is hard to read, just as Hamlet is hard to reach. The only time Hamlet ends up not using glitchy text is when he's talking to his father, the only one who can fully sway his decisions.
As the plot progresses, the posts get shorter, especially the ones in the later part of Act 3. We did this to show how the plot is progressing and the action of the play is getting more and more intense. The more detailed, beginning posts mirror the exposition and background information provided at the beginning of the play.
We chose to end with Polonius's death because we found that it was the one moment that most showed just how reliant Hamlet's decisions had become on the ghost--he literally murders an innocent person because the ghost told him to go on a revenge quest! Our last post is the ghost account deactivating because the ghost proceeds to never show up in the play again, even though there's still considerable following plot that have to do with the ghost's earlier requests to Hamlet.

Dad I dealt with the body
You'd be really proud of me. I didn't even get upset, and you know how upset I always get

Note
This visitation is but to whet thy almost blunted purpose.
Hamlet what is this? I never said "Murder Polonius." I said "Avenge my death."
You know what? I can't with you right now. Talk to your mother.
Do not look upon me, lest with this piteous action you convert my stern effects.
