my second poster has only partially changed from the break as I've made it more simpler and make it look more of a political poster using that handwritten font for the tiriti giving the same idea as what I mentioned for my first poster
Ive used the black colour on the background as I think it represents the situation better as currently we are still fighting for the issues so I think the black makes it look more dark and ill shown since it is

Developing my 1st poster again using a different message, making it more relevant to the other poster, where it is talking about how we need to respect he tangata, our people, where our Māori population isn't respected properly with our new government and which links to the other poster of being Honour our tiriti. This leads to the idea of where we need to respect our people and honour our Tiriti; the idea isn't that complicated but is not properly valued in the eyes of our government as people like David Seymour look te Tiriti of Waitangi looking into the treaty of Waitangi instead which leads to our people not being respected properly.
I first started with a san serif for respect, which I didn't think worked properly because I think that the serif font used in the last posters works a lot better for the message as it represents the Pakeha and colonial views from our current government. I used this on the English words on purpose, as it hasn't nothing to do with the English language being fought for. Instead, the Māori text is in a handwritten font showing the idea of a political protest poster as we are protesting for the respect that we deserve.
The use of the kowhaiwhai patterns on the top and bottom of the page is to boost the Māori culture within the poster itself, letting the viewer be drawn into the middle of the page where it also connects to 2 posters to each other

simular to the last post tried to connect them but didn't really think the 2 connected with each other well enough to continue with using the both of these posters so I decided to continue to develop the honour our tiriti poster

An idea I had involving both of my formative posters but changing elements of them both, taking away elements from the honour poster, making it more readable and easier to look at
where the second one I tried to connect them more together by adding a line through it to connect it to the other poster
Something I didn't like about these was that they didn't really connect with each other well, as the meanings of the posters were too linked to each other where I think I can change it up to make them connect much better.

This is the draft for my Pitch deck Im very keen on keeping the names for each board in Te Reo Māori and in English keeping the Māori at the top for the hierarchy of the languages for importance in my opinion.
Im somewhat happy with the body font that I'm using its just about it I change it to make it more readable and using a different font for my pepeha which I have in my intro and its just getting the final writing and designs finished before I continue to fill in the pitch deck which will force parts to change due to different word counts and image sizes.

I really like this design because of its powerful, eye-catching, and animatic. This is because of the simplicity that it has within it. The fact that the image has no colour but can catch your eye is very powerful because of its use of hierarchy. This is done by only having the word smear be affected by this animation and having the rest of the poster stay still, which really brings your eye into the middle of the poster, but it also has the effect of keeping the other text on the sides to make you finish off by looking at the rest of the piece, which in this case gives us information about the designer.

WATCH 2 - Robo MG
These 2 examples of animatic-type design have a lot going on within them, and that is the reason I like them. This is because it makes you keep watching it over and over to try to take in all the elements it is trying to tell you. This really full-on poster makes your eye focus on the poster due to the colours, the constant movement all over the frame, and everything else that is going on within the animation. I personally really like the use of individual movement in each letter, where the characters follow their own separate path and keep the whole poster unique. But I do find that these very full-on posters also have some negatives where it is very hard to try and take on the whole animation in a short amount of time, whereas if it's being shown out in public if you are moving, it is not easy to catch the message being set in a short amount of time because there is so much going on in the work.

FINAL formative posters
Rational
My posters focus on heavy issues that Aotearoa are currently facing with our National/Act government, where these parties want to change what Te Tiriti o Waitangi represents by removing Te Reo Māori from our country and belittling Māori culture. I do NOT agree with this at all, which is why I have created my posters. My two posters focus on respecting our treaty and culture; the first is my interpretation of what I think our government is doing: trying to erase our culture from everyday life, which means we must fight harder to hold onto it. The second poster is about how everybody must honour our tiriti, showing how important it is to our nation.

These are the ideas and the mockups for my second poster it is all about how we as a country need to 'Honour our Tiriti' I've used little blurbs of text stating what is happening now in Aotearoa about our Tiriti. I used the text of HONOUR and broke it up to say Honour and Our from the same word and put it in different colours to emphasize the difference in meaning. I had a go with moving and playing around with the variations and the angles of the words heavily.

These were the ideas and final mockups for my final designs for the 1st part of my formative where I am talking about the issues that māori are facing today where our own government doesn't want part of māori culture around as much because they dont think it is 'important' I used a range of fonts and colours to emphasis my points I was sending to the view and the importance and different of each word

Week 4 p3
I had a go at using the Halftone background within the political statement work using the Whakairo from a Marae as the background really giving the representation to the big meaning of Toitū te Tiriti and what it all goes towards, which is those before us who built those maraes for their iwis and those who served them. I used a mix of green and reds they were used as they serve a strong meaning where red is one of the main colours in the Māori culture and green stands for the nature all around us and the pounamu so many Māori mean around themselves.

Week 4 p2
Using the statement Te Tiriti O Waitangi it is still talking about Toitū te Tiriti. Still, differently, it attacks the whole treaty itself where in the first few designs it has a message within the text similar to the Tiriti itself where inside the Tiriti it was filled with lies and was translated wrong, so I added the word lies in between showing how the Tiriti is in the eyes to many people, especially Māori people. The next few designs have Te Tiriti O Waitangi surrounding the border making it stand out and showing off the message it sends for a couple of them I put the statement "184 years on still not respected" being self-explanatory as Māori people still don't get the respect they signed for from the treaty especially with this current government wanting to get rid of Māori culture because it is too hard for them to respect it.
