┈┈「 ♚。 »  Ending up in a sector engulfed by a large raging fire was extremely unfortunate since she was a master who relied on her breathing to use her abilities. The smoke and fumes didn’t completely bar her from using hamon, but... Lisa Lisa grew up being trained to breathe in a manner different from other humans, so it always felt natural to her. It was only during moments like these where she had to put an active effort to control her breath. Covering her mouth with her scarf, she concentrated on her breathing technique.
Repelling the bullets the drones were firing at her with her hamon, she solidified her scarf and slammed one end of it on the ground before lifting herself off the ground. Kicking the drones shooting at her down, she was ready to attack another pair targeting her when a large fire erupted from seemingly nowhere. Startled, she blinked and took a step back. When the fire vanished and revealed the person behind it, she was surprised to see who it was. “Sabo?” Her words were followed by a cough caused by the fire.

┈┈「 ♚。 »  The enemies standing before her had long ranged weapons, but she was able to easily repel the bullets by using her hamon as a shield. Realizing it was impossible to harm her through this method, they decided to charge towards her with swords instead. Another futile attempt. After dodging their strikes, she infused her hand with the sun’s energy and cut them down one at a time. The lights keeping the sector lit up abruptly went off as soon as she was finished. The darkness embracing her did not make the area pitch black, but it was impossible for her to get a proper grasp of her surroundings with her eye.
To avoid getting into a battle where she would be at a disadvantage, she dashed into a nearby alley and walked as silently as possible. Lisa Lisa could use her hamon as a light source, but this would cause all of the drones to flock at her and force her to use up all her stamina. They weren’t alive, so she wouldn’t be able to use their breathing as a detector. Before she could think of a solution, an unknown voice called her out. Her heels made a soft click, clack, click, clack noise as she walked. “I wasn’t trying to hide or sneak up on you if that’s what you’re assuming.”
It was faint, but she could see the outline of the individual conversing with her and hear his breathing. If he tried to make any sudden movements or grew hostile, she would be able to hear the change. “I can’t see properly, so I hid there to avoid being detected.” Despite not being able to see properly, her voice was calm and her posture remained relaxed. “I don’t suppose you have something that emits a dim light.” Perhaps exiting this sector was the best idea.

His body sliced through the air, his feet carrying him at astounding speeds as he raced atop of the roofs in the Beta District. At times he would halt his step, quickly observing the chaos that was ensuing down below. His brows knit in horror as he contemplated the choices that had been placed before him. “I must fight.” There had been no other option for him. His voice came out as a hushed whisper, and no sooner had he finished that sentence had his ears caught wind of an explosion of sorts, one so great that tremors had followed its blare almost immediately after. It hadn’t taken him long to regain his balance, his gaze veering to inspect the area where the blast had originated from. Before he could carefully assess it however, the lights, that had been scattered across the city, illuminating its streets, were now out. A disgruntled sigh passed his lips as he jumped down from the corner of the flat roof that he had been standing on. Since he had been gifted with keen senses, he could make out some of the surrounding area with his eyes alone, yet he began to rely on his sense of hearing and smell. Shrouded in darkness, he walked in silence, his red hues seemingly glowing.
Tumblr media
It was faint, but still drew closer slowly, the presence of an individual besides himself. He took a short breath and mentally began to prep himself for a fight. “I know you’re there. Show yourself.”

┈┈「 ♚。 »  After jumping high up in the air, she swiftly kicked the two drones standing in her path with her hamon charged heels and watched them crumble as she gracefully landed on the ground. The soldiers sent by the monsters were pathetically weak. It was why she was using as minimal power as possible. Fortunately, controlling her hamon’s output level was child’s play to a master like her.
Her movements were as smooth as the surface of the pebble. Lisa Lisa didn’t make a single unnecessary move while she fought, evident from the way she was efficiently executing every droid that attempted to harm her with her hand. Approximately five minutes passed number by, and  the number of foes present was still the same. It seemed like they were going to continue flocking to her unless she removed them all at once.
Hovering her hands in front of her chest, she made them overlap and waited for the perfect moment to strike with her scarf; but the opportunity never arrived for her. Instead, her opponents ended up getting taken out. All thanks to the teenager standing nearby. Shifting her gaze to glance at the young child, she walked towards him before opening her mouth. “I am not so weak that I would need a young one to rescue me. You should be worrying more about yourself.”
The tone she adopted was cold; rigid just like her exterior. “You used a lot of your strength just now didn’t you? You’ll end up in trouble if you continue using too much of your powers.” Even though she didn’t show any sign of affection, she was slightly concerned. Only slightly because he seemed to be able to handle himself.

Naoto felt her best course of action would be to help clear the way so that her allies could launch an unhindered attack on the hideous, writhing mass. The projected thoughts that intruded her mind were rather disquieting, to say the least, but the horrors where momentarily silenced upon the discovery of another who was launching an attack on the drones.
Tumblr media
Stunning - a summary of the woman in one word. Fluid and graceful in her motions, delivering blows with a technique the likes of which Naoto had never witnessed before, each strike landed without a hint of fear or hesitation.  As competent as she was, however, she was only one person - the drones themselves were quite numerous. But Naoto could help, she had to help, and she had just the idea on how to do it.
Firing a round through a card of light, the detective summons her Persona to her side. If they had truly been unlimited then it wouldn’t be a problem to dish out one of her strongest attacks, now would it?
Already she could feel her stamina draining as Sukuna Hikona prepared for the endeavor with Mind Charge in order to ensure that it would truly be effective, but it would all be worth in the end.
    Megidolaon.
Tiring, sure, but a powerful attack only made stronger by the skill used prior and one that targets all enemies in a vicinity - which happened to be a group to the brunette’s left in this case.

┈┈「 ♚。 »  It was a little amusing to see the young boy get flustered over a small error. Granted, it was a mistake that could injure a bystander... “I don’t think you can compare a dart with a bow and arrow since they are different. Your friends can’t win a prize for you, so you’ll have to get better yourself.” Never thrown a dart? It would explain why his aim was so terribly off. “You still have to throw it in the correct direction. Try throwing it again.”
Tumblr media
“ Alright to be fair! I’ve never quite used a bow and arrow before–I’m more of a sword and magic person! I have friends who’d be much better at this sort of thing! “ Rather embarrassed at admitting that he’d let out an awkward cough. “ Also I’ve.. never quite thrown anything like that before. I just assumed I could hurl it forward as hard as I could and let it be done. “

┈┈「 ♚。 » Lisa Lisa had no intention of getting attached to a world she planned on leaving behind, so she did her best to remain detached. It was why she gazed at Hive City and its inhabitants with passive blue eyes. It had been relatively easy for her to maintain an aloof attitude –– until now. Non-human beings were nothing more a threat to humanity in her world. They were the ones who ripped her dream of living a happy life with her family into shreds. It was why she believed they had to be removed from earth.
Or so she thought. The sight of a teenager with animal characteristics getting threatened by a human shouldn’t bother her; but it did. The intense fear and despair clouding over his face proved he was the innocent victim in this situation. The child was the one who was being wronged; but he was a supernatural creature. He was helpless right now, sooner or later... She attempted to walk away, but his pleas for help echoed in her head and enveloped her mind until she couldn’t take it anymore. Abruptly turning around, she marched towards the man. Before he could even open his mouth, she raised her leg and landed a kick –– and a punch from someone else?
A stranger suddenly attacked him out of nowhere as well, which caused him to tumble backwards. The kid thanked both of them for freeing him and left to return back to his parents. “... He’s innocent now, but he’s going to grow up to become just like the others. A threat that needs to be removed.” Her words were cold and she didn’t appear to be fazed, but there was a tinge of worry in her voice. “And yet I saved him... You saved him. Why did you rescue him?” It was rare for her to doubt herself, and even rarer for her to seek help; but she knew she wouldn’t be able to quell the storm raging in her heart all by herself.

┈┈「 ♚。 »  The child’s way of thinking was unusual, but it wasn’t strange since there were other individuals who questioned and pondered over matters most normally wouldn’t. It was just surprising to encounter a young girl who felt this way. “... I see.” Lisa Lisa opted not to say anything else about her reason and listened to her speak first before responding. “Some of them still feel happy because they’re with the people they care about. They don’t feel affected by the loss because they’re playing to spend time with those around them.” Her words were sentimental, but her voice remained indifferent and her expression made it appear as if she didn’t feel anything. “There are also those who compete for a prize. Even if they lose to the other... They don’t feel sad because the one who won is happy.”
Tumblr media
The sound of another arriving at the tree wasn’t unusual. It was a public place and by now, after a few days spent lingering around the festivities, Hakuno had grown used to being surrounded by people. As long as too many didn’t crowd around her, as long as she could maintain some peace, she was happy to remain. The woman was unlike the rest however and spoke to her. Looking to the other side of the tree in order to respond, Hakuno shook her head. ❝ No, I was just… watching the people using them, ❞ She hoped that didn’t come off as strange since to some, it most definitely did. ❝ … They all seem happy, even when they lose. It is weird, especially since most know these games tend to be rigged. People… are strange. ❞ Yet she loved to watch them. Each of their individual, unique personalities offering her some odd form of satisfaction.

┈┈「 ♚。 »  Folding her arms together, the lady remained silent and opted to simply listen to the man speak. The glass of wine she was holding before was sitting atop a table. Nothing he said elicited a visible reaction from her, so her expression remained impassive; but a few of his words did pique her curiosity. Artifacts that weren’t ordinary accessories? Lisa Lisa couldn’t help but wonder if he possessed an object similar to her stone. It caught her interest, but she didn’t even considering voicing her thoughts since she disliked prying.
“You make it sound like the festival disappointed you. If just seeing me was pleasant, then I’m assuming that you didn’t meet enough women?” It was just a wild guess, but she wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up being correct. Even a fool would be able to see the value of his artifacts. “I wouldn’t want my valuable jewellery to get wet either. I'm surprised you decided to even wear them here. You can call me Lisa Lisa.”
Many of the festival’s more mature visitors flee the site when a water war is announced. It mightn’t sour the event as a whole, but this area will certainly become off-limits to those who would prefer to stay dry and enjoy the festival as intended. Sinbad is among the last to leave, partially because the idea of getting wet isn’t abhorrent… but mostly because he wants to finish his drink before he returns to what has become “safety”.
Oh, and what luck that he slinks inside when he does.
Tumblr media
“Nor did I, but it’s quite a pleasant surprise; far more pleasant than anything this festival has sprung upon me yet, I assure you.” He chuckles lightly, though his words lack true humor. “I’ve no problem with getting wet myself, but I’m afraid some of my… artifacts might not take too kindly to it. If there were ordinary accessories, it wouldn’t be such an issue, but… ah, enough about that, hm? I’m Sinbad - and it’s quite a pleasure to meet you, miss.”

┈┈「 ♚。 »  The calm and austere demeanour she possessed masked the feelings she bottled up in her heart; and getting a glimpse of her raw emotions was no easy task. Even those who knew her for some time struggled to read her at times, so seeing a stranger accurately point out an anxiety of hers startled her.
“... You said ‘than most’ –– Implying that you are more than a hundred years old at least.” There wasn’t a hint of mockery or skepticism in her voice, but she did sound wary and guarded. The only other races she knew that had the ability to live for a long time were not filled with individuals who loved peace. If she proved she was the same as them then...
“Then you must have a mission or duty you have to accomplish, but are unable to do so because you’re stuck here.” She was careful not to give too much details.
Tumblr media
Tiki would not be surprised if her words had incited some degree of suspicion. Nevertheless, it was nothing she didn’t hope to rectify; though some of less upstanding morals might be tempted to use such information to stir paranoia and perhaps even manipulate, she had no such inclinations.
“I’ve been around a little longer than most,” she confessed,
Tumblr media
“I suppose that I, too, am experiencing similar anxiety. That is why I recognized it..”

┈┈「 ♚。 »  Initiating small talk with strangers, or even with people she was acquainted with was not something she often did; but she was not opposed to participating and entering a conversation when she wasn’t busy dealing with her own world’s affairs. As long as the individual didn’t rub her the wrong way, she had no qualms with having a normal chat with them. “That’s not surprising to hear.” Lisa Lisa noticed the young girl’s eyes were on her, but she chose to ignore it and continued gazing at the view outside the carriage. ”I doubt cars have been introduced to every area in the world.”
After motioning the stranger to look out of the window without opening her mouth, she paused for a moment before speaking again. “If it has four wheels and has a driver behind the steering wheel, then it’s most likely a car.” That description pretty much fit all the vehicles driving past their carriage. “... I know what airships are, but I’ve never heard of the first two. It must be unique to your country.” The latter part of her sentence caught her interest, but she avoided prying too deep into the child’s business. “Maybe they’ll return again after a few years.”
Tumblr media
It’s strange how a stranger can remind the esperkin so much of someone back home.
Perhaps that’s simply her yearning for the past and homesickness coming into play, or perhaps it’s something else entirely; the blonde doesn’t know. What she does know, however, is that the familiarity, however small, helps her the slightest bit in relaxing around the other woman… Even if the blonde is still relatively on edge around the other’s presence.
❝ No… Or at least, I’ve never seen one in the place I’m from, ❞ she starts, azure gaze glancing to the brunette for a moment.
Tumblr media
❝ I’ve… Never seen or heard of a car before either. They’re those vehicles I keep seeing on the streets around here, right? ❞ she asks, only half certain of the answer herself. To be honest, Terra is never truly certain of what really exists in her world or not, simply due to her own inexperience of truly living within the world and seeing everything in it… And it’s only been worse since her world has been destroyed into almost nothingness.
❝ We have Magitek Armour, chocobos and sometimes airships to help us get around where I’m from… Or we used to, anyway. ❞

┈┈「 ♚。 »  It would be cruel to reject a request from her — a lady who was probably tired from walking around the festival grounds — when there was a seat available. The stranger was allowed keep her company, as long as she didn’t create the kind of ruckus the youngsters nearby were causing. If stranger became too noisy for her taste, then she would undoubtedly ask her to leave. “No problem.” Lisa Lisa took a sip of her drink before answering her question. “Not really. I don’t think it’s possible for this place to get less crowded.” Especially since there was a bar and hot spring in this area. “... Unless you’re talking about another area. No, I just wanted a small drink.”
Tumblr media
It was nice to relax during this year’s flower festival, and when Gyokuen had heard of the hot spring she headed there as fast as she could. She had spent so much time on her feet during the past year that sitting in a hot spring sounded like heaven.
However, when she arrived it was beyond busy and it seemed like there were far too many children in the spring itself at the moment. And so she glanced around, looking for a place to sit.
A woman was looking at her, and she happened to have an open table, so despite the fact she glanced away, she headed over and asked if she could sit down there.
Tumblr media
“My thanks.” She sat down on the opposite side of the table. “Are you waiting for the crowds to thin out a bit as well?”

┈┈「 ♚。 »  More than fifteen years had passed since she last even considered making a flower crown. The reason why she even crafted them in the past was because there was always someone special to accept her affectionate gift; but it was different now. There was no one who would offer to make the top of their head a throne for her crown. Still, she couldn’t help but move closer to examine the flowers even though she had no intention of creating one herself. When she spotted a familiar face brightly beaming at her from a few tables away, she curved her lips into a small smile and moved closer to him. “Sabo... I didn’t expect to bump into a familiar face today. I do think it’s more relaxing to look at flowers than the tall buildings in the city.” The job part surprised her a little, but it did help explain why he was here. “Alright then, make me one. Since it is your job, I’m expecting the flower crown to look magnificent.”
Tumblr media
Manning the flower crown station had been easy so far. He wasn’t the best at making them, but giving simple instructions to children and other festival goers had been easy, as far as he was concerned. As long as he wasn’t asked to make one, it’d be fine. A familiar face soon approach the stand and Sabo can’t help but smile and lean forward as she neared closer, ❝ Ah, Ms. Lisa Lisa! Are you a lover of flowers as well? ❞ Of course she was. There wasn’t a woman alive who didn’t love flowers. And if it’s a flower crown she wanted…well. ❝ I can make you one, if you’d like! I’m working here at the moment, so it’s kind of my job. ❞ That’s probably a bad idea, but his need to impress her is greater than his common sense of what could make him look like a fool right now.

┈┈「 ♚。 »  The technique she used was fairly simple, so she immediately assumed the child would be able to follow her lead and pop some balloons. It was the main reason why she was startled when the dart flew upwards and soared across the sky. “... You better hope it doesn’t land on someone’s head or eye. The tip is dull, but it would still hurt.” After she folded her arms, she glanced at the boy. “I don’t know anyone else who would be able to miscalculate that terribly. Have you never thrown darts before? Or are you just not a dexterous person.”
Morgan watched the rather odd style of tossing the dart in the air and letting gravity do the rest in popping the balloons than rather actually using straight forward force in doing so. It seemed to make enough sense as he looked at it in practice. Taking one of the darts in hand, he’d be ready for an under handed toss and just as she said, he threw it as hard as he can in an arch!
Except the dart was sent flying upwards into the sky, Morgan looking upwards at having lost it.
