Proposal
Our group is planning to create a video that displays the rules and regulations of handball in an engaging and dynamic way using multiple motion graphic techniques. We propose to do this through editing video footage, emphasizing the dynamic nature of the games movement by adding visual design elements of ribbons and lights. We will also use the NZHF logo to recognize the federation and end with a call to action (website to visit etc)
We have included the basic rules so that complete beginners can grasp a solid concept of how the game works. This will be achieved by following the flow of a game and slowing certain aspects so that the rules can be explained as the game unfolds. This allows for the viewer to visually understand how the game is played without having to read a rule book.
These rules include:
-Ball dimensions
-Court areas and dimensions
-Referees and timing
-How to start
-Player positions
-3 second rule
-Bounce rule
-Scoring
-How to defend
-Fouls
-Penalties
Please refer to the animatic also attached to view these rules.
We believe that our idea effectively portrays the rules of handball and will engage people get involved and recognize that handball is a growing sport in New Zealand.
