Anonymous said:do you have a specific structure when drawing hands cause i s2g you draw the most realest hands out there (ps. your art is amazeballs)
I focus on the basic shapes first, and I find sharp lines best for this (don’t be afraid to exaggerate), like so:

Thanks for the ask! The truth is, I’m still really shaky on how to draw hands. But here’s a really short and simple tutorial on my approach.

Hey, if you don’t mind sharing, I’ve always wondered how you got that soft celling look on your characters in your comic. Any tips? I’m currently working on my own comic and I kind of want to go for a less harsh form of cell shading. Thanks!
A couple people have asked about the way I color things and I’ve been meaning to post a tutorial on it :]. I’ve never been too good at describing my process, but I hope this helps!

In my previous lessons I taught you guys how to draw the figure. I showed you how to add muscles and look for those intricate subtleties that will make any figure drawing look professional. But looking back I realized that I totally skimmed over one of the most important parts of the body. Hands are extremely expressive, second only to the face. They’re powerful supporting actors that help carry the story of your narrative. Hands can make or break a drawing. So, it’s crucial to learn the proper way to draw hands. I’ll go over the easiest way to draw hands in this lesson ;)
