These are some ideas and preliminary sketches I have drawn up for the tshirt! I鈥檓 leaning towards the hands with the syringe, though I also like the fight against big pharma with the coins and pills falling around the scythe and flowers symbolic of death ~

Out of the monotype prints I鈥檝e done, these were five of the prints I liked the most. I felt like my application of ink as well as chin-cholle to these were better done that the others I did. My art work is heavily inspired by my struggle with mental health, and usually incorporate anamorphic people and fauna, and flora that represent certain things in art that tie into my artist statement.
The trace monotypes were amongst the first prints I鈥檝e done this semester, with the flowers being representative of self care and a softness towards oneself when dealing with mental health, and the kunai knives being representative of the self-hatred. The organic forms coming from the eyes and the mouth represent ways my mental health affect me in the ways I see things and the way I act towards my sometimes skewed versions of what I see.
The female presenting person I drew was a way of sticking to something I enjoy drawing, while stepping out of my comfort zone by exploring color. I really love the way she came out, with a mixture of the more intricate lines of the watercolor crayons and the painterly style of the watercolor paint.
And lastly, the images of the flowers crossing eachother represent how I am working on myself in multiple ways to try to become more of a best friend to myself. I tend to be very hard on myself and very unforgiving. Camellia flowers represent love, passion, and a deep desire towards a person, and Chrysanthemums represent longevity, fidelity, and optimism. The crossing of them represent how I am simultaneously trying to have a deep passion and love for my own fidelity, the fact that I have one life and am myself a living breathing art piece. A mash of all my situations, feelings, thoughts, together in one being. I am trying to be optimistic over pessimistic, as my brain is normally negative.
I鈥檝e really enjoyed Multiple Ones so far and look forward to exploring deeper into my concept.

Hello classmates,
My name is Hannah Maria, my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a 26 year old aspiring printmaker with a dream to work for the national archives doing restoration and archival work.
I posted a 2D design image I did, a print I did in Intro with Sheila, and then two drawings I did in Jason John's figure drawing 1 class.
I really look forward to this semesters print class, especially with it being more of a single edition printing class. I like the fact that they will all have their own special touches and you can see the artists thoughts through the prints.
