FMP Evaluation
Overall I am extremely happy with my final major project; I am thrilled with the outcomes and I believe I used my time effectively and achieved my aim for the research of the topic to drive the design outcomes.
If I were to continue the project developing this project, I would definitely want to progress into a social media campaign as the next stage to the packaging of lab-grown meat. However I am happy that during this project I did not try to complete the packaging design and the campaign and inevitably create packaging of a lower quality, due to less experimenting and developing. This has definitely been the project I am most proud of at University.

Tag Line development
The tag line has developed many times throughout this project and I do really like the line ‘Real Beef (Chicken/Pork), No Cruelty, Better For The Environment’ however I think the line needs to state that the product is ‘clean meat’. I previously expressed that I didn’t want to shout that it’s lab-grown meat therefore I don’t want this to be in the main product name and also I think it’s best to call it ‘clean meat’, however once I was completed happy with the final packaging I thought that it does need to be on there. Additionally with the line I don’t think it need to say ‘better for the environment’ as this is quite wordy and they is a dedicated side of the packaging explaining that the product and packaging are better for the environment than farm-grown meat. So I believe the line should be refined to ‘Clean Meat, Real Beef, No Cruelty’.

From Plain to Pop
To change the packaging tray from white to pink I had to create a graphic from the tray instead of using a preexisting photograph.
The all white packaging is too plain.
Sketch how I could make a graphic so I can achieve the exact colour I desire.

Creating a graphic of the new colourful tray
I actually think I prefer the tray colour at 50% opacity of the typography colour as it shows the product better.
The decide ‘rule’ for tray colours from the experiments:

Creating a digital film to give the product an authentic look that it is sealed.
