The Alpha for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War review. I got the chance to play the alpha for a few hours this weekend. I know it was a rough version of a few multiplayer maps and modes. I had a problem with how the sniper rifle worked. Mainly it was a one hit kill anywhere on the body. Apparently this was intentional from the developers so they could test it in the alpha. Hopefully that’s true and it gets nerfed before the release of the game. Other than that the game seemed like it was fairly good. The few maps and modes were fun. It definitely had a Black Ops 1 feel to it, but with a nice mix of elements that came from Modern Warfare. For example the time to kill seemed to be the same as Modern Warfare if not a little bit faster. I think Cold War is going to be a good game and that Treyarch will get the kinks worked out in time for the release.

I knew this repair was going to be difficult. There was obvious signs that someone had try to repair it before. As you can see in the close up picture that one of the wires were burnt. There was also solder on the chip beside the area that I was working on. I was not able to fix this PS4, because the wire was also separated from the board. That being said and since I also said that this would also double as a product review. Everything worked well. Soldering the IPX connector onto the board went smoothly and I didn't have any problems getting it soldered on. The rework station worked well and quickly got up to temp when turned on. The only thing I had a problem with the rework station was they did not supply enough screws to properly attach the stand for the heat gun. The soldering iron worked good as well. It got to temp fast and had a adjustable temp dial. This was a nice touch to be able to control the temp. The soldering kit came with a stand for the soldering iron, which was nice. I didn't have to worry about it burning anything. The flux worked good and allowed the solder to adhere to where it needed to be and not allowing anything to get to hot. I wish I would have read the description better and got flux that was in a syringe. This had a brush to apply it. Other than that the flux worked well. I wasn't able to use anything else out of the kit so I can't speak on how well the rest of the items worked.
