WEEK 3 Exercise

This week's tutorial is to do some practise applying the principles of third angle orthogonal projection, section views and auxiliary views. I did some simple exercises in class. Since I forgot to bring the A3 bond paper, I used A4 paper to do some exercises. During the practice, I found that this exercise requires good space imagination skill, and you need to have a good grasp of the size of each view. I also learned from the teacher how to draw the chain line perfectly, using two rulers to assist in drawing.

Here is the practing picture during the Tutorial.

This weekend, I redrawn a picture of TAPERED BLOCK on A3 paper at home. When drawing, I found that how to properly handle the layout of each view on paper is very important. This time, some problems occurred during the drawing. When I draw the Auxiliary View, the distance between it and other views is too small, which makes it inconvenient to dimension it. This point must be paid attention to in future drawings.

WEEK 2

First, I measured the length, width, and height of my object.

Then I followed the instructions to draw template.

In the end, I cut them down and fold them, using the sticky tape make template stable.

WEEK 1

In Task1, through precise drawing and the use of dashed and solid lines, the two triangles are interlocked with each other on the plane. Very cool learning experience.

In task 2, learning to use compasses to accurately make beautiful circles, and learn how to mark the diameter, angle, radius, etc.

In task 3, by drawing equilateral triangles and recombining these equilateral triangles to make them into new patterns, this is a test of the accuracy of drawing and cutting. Obviously, I am not proficient enough and need more practice to improve accuracy.
