Based on the likes and reblogs on my post from last night it looks like there's some interest in a robron week christmas special - so let's do it!

Though since it's less than 3 weeks away I'm thinking

Saturday 24 - Sunday 25 - Monday 26

I've had a quick think about the themes and I've come up with this:

Saturday December 24 Secret Santa/Christmas party

Sunday December 25 Christmas morning

Monday December 26 Carol singing/Christmas music

As always anything goes - fic, art, video - you can even do a robron Christmas themed crossword puzzle if you like!

Post your thing on your own blog on the day and tag it robron xmas in the first five tags so I can reblog it to this blog so everyone can enjoy it (more easily).

And as always feel free to also post your thing to AO3, twitter, insta, or whatever other place you want (but please do post at least *something* here - even if it's just a link to your AO3 post. If it's not on tumblr, I can't reblog it).

Just seen there are several pages of Emmerdale episodes on ITV hub for their 50th, both robron weddings, SSW aftermath & robrons first kiss & that is the episode title. I haven’t seen full episode, just put it on. Also Aaron coming out & Jackson episodes.

WE deserve to be really happy…

Now that Aaron was far, far away from the village (a village where no one clearly understood him not like his Robert always did) and staying with his best mate, Adam, the fog that the past few years had brought on began to clear.

As the pressure and stress faded, he realized what was always staring in his face but couldn’t admit it to himself fully - his so-called family, those that were meant to look after him steered him to become what THEY wanted him to be - THEIR crutch, the good son doing and getting what THEY wanted from him but what was HE getting in return? Nothing really - he was allowing them to run his life while he himself had to suppress/bottle his feelings (for THEIR sake making himself miserable inside while pretending to be ‘okay’ on the outside) all the while trying to come to terms what his life had turned into - one without Robert and one where everybody once again turned their backs on his husband for hurting Aaron. He didn’t even recognize himself anymore, the man he became with Robert had went in hibernation to suit others.

Enough of that! Now that the fog was cleared, and with Adam’s full support, Aaron set about doing what he should have done years ago - fight for his husband, especially now that there was a chance, however slight there was, to appeal his case and get his idiot husband of his heart out and home to him for good this time. He would choose Robert once again like he always would have done if not for the interference of his family. Robert always said he deserved to be happy. Well happiness meant being with the nightmare of an idiot that is Robert, anything else was just biding time, going through the motions.

Now fast forward some time and Aaron has his Robert back. He is taking on the role of the strong one, helping Robert cope with the time he spent in prison and both are learning to adapt to who’ve they’ve become since they’ve been apart. They don’t return to the village even though they have good memories there (Aaron has their photo album, their rings, the leather jacket and the letters he never sent to Robert with him, no reason to go back), it’s not enough to counter the toxicity that still exists courtesy of both their families. They will never let them be and will always try to interfere in their lives. They restart their dream of a large family of their own once their heads are both in a good place. They also have Sebastian now that his mum is no longer in the picture.

So, in the end, what Robert said on the evening of their first wedding became a reality: ‘… and it’ll pass… however long it is… and then you’ll come home to me and we’ll never look back, okay?’

They never looked back and embraced the future they deserved - together!

Hey everyone!

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in robron week! It’s been so nice to see the fandom come alive again to celebrate the best soap couple ever who invented love.

 If you (like me) are still working on something for one or more of the days that you didn’t manage to finish in time - no worries. I’ll reblog everything tagged rw22 and robron week until midnight CET tonight (that’s Amsterdam/Berlin/Paris time) and probably after that too.

If you created something but I didn’t like/reblog it - please don’t think I didn’t like your thing or didn’t think it was good enough for this blog or anything like that. Charity walks into the backroom of the pub to find Chas faffing about flicking a feather duster around like a mad woman.

"What's with the Sadie the cleaning lady on steroids act?" She raised her eyebrows directing her question to Paddy stood like a statue in the middle of the living room.

"Aaron he is arriving any minute so Chas is getting things ready" replied Paddy stepping out of the way as Chas brushed past him with the duster.

Charity scoffed in amusement. "Seriously all this fuss for Aaron the same Aaron who left his muddy boots anywhere. Dirty towels on the bathroom floor that Aaron? He is hardly gonna care if he can see his reflection in the tea kettle"

"Aaron might not care but his new man might. That's why I am making an effort. First impressions matter" stated Chas

"New fella! He's bringing him here to his parent's home"Charity looked at Chas and Paddy eyes wide in shock.

"Yeah according to Aaron he's really happy and it's serious" replied Paddy.

"Woa it must be his first time home since he left and he is bringing him along to meet the in laws I honestly thought after he lost Robet his soulmate he would never find that kind of love again" Charity looked at them in disbelief.

"Oh he has well ahd truly moved on from Robert. When we face time him he looks so happy. Can't stop smiling . He is so enthusiastic about everything again. And that's all down to this new man of his. And I can't wait to meet the man responsible for making my boy whole again. Chas beamed at them giddy with excitement.

"Speak of the devil. Look what the cat dragged in. Aren't you are a sight for sore eyes. The prodical son returns" charity reached over to hug Aaron who had just arrived through the back door.

"Aaron sweetheart my baby boy " Chas barreled towards him hugging the life out of him.

"Steady on there Mum or you might break a rib" warned Aaron stepping out of her embrace.

"You have been missed around here son"Paddy took his turn to hug him.

"Yeah getting out of the village after everything was definitely what I needed to do. But being back it feels good." He smiled fondly at Charity Chas and Paddy.

"So come on then where are you hiding this amazing new man of yours?"squealed Chas.

Aaron l scrunched up his face with a strange expression on his face. "Um he's outside waiting. We thought it would probably be best if I came in first to prepare ya"

"Prepare us? Love I am more than prepared to meet him. He's put the light back in your life so he's already won me over. Go on bring him.in. Chas gave him a nudge towards the door.

"Alright settle down. You need to understand that I love him okay. He is my person that I see my future with....Ou you can show ya face now"He yelled in the direction of the backroom door. Charity Chas and Paddy all started in anticipation.

"So did anyone miss ne?" A familiar voice asked as Robert strode through the door with a smirk on his face. He walked upto Aaron putting his arm around the other man's shoulders.

"No how is this even possible? Your meant to be inside? Chas stuttered mouth hung open in shock.

"Aaron made contact convinced me I had a reason or reasons him and Seb to lodge an appeal. We kept it quiet from Vic and Diane incase it wasn't successful. But it was and I got out on time served" Robert explained to his stunned audience.

"Oh this is priceless. Your faces Chas and Paddy. But come on even you two have to admit it was always inevitable these two would find their way back to each other" stated Charity.

"Shut up" snapped Chas looking like a child about to pitch a fit.

"Aaron after everything he has done..."

"Paddy stop okay" Aaron interrupted him. " That's the past. We have sorted it. We love each other end of. I don't need your blessing I never did. I love you both. But don't make me choose cause there is no choice. Robert is my future. He always will be. Aaron reached for Robert's hand holding onto it tightly. "Messed up together forever"he smiled cleaning forward to kiss Robert.

Oh how I wish we had got a little baby Sugden-Dingle👶. Maybe oneday in the future. 😀🤞

Robert cradles their newborn daughter in his arms. The second he met her he knew in that moment he would do whatever was necessary in this life to keep her happy and safe.

Aaron is standing infront of them and reaches down to gently hold their little girls tiny hand in his. He locks eyes with Robert. They just stare at the baby they have waited so long for.

"I told ya if this one had your eyes then we were in for a world of trouble" Robert spoke breaking the silence.

Aaron let out a small laugh.. "I know I am totally biased but she's perfect yeah?"

"With your DNA how could she not be" Robert replied.

Aaron reached out to put his hands on Robert's shoulders. "When did my smug husband get so soft?'

"The day I kissed my dirry little grease monkey at our layby" answered Robert.

"Look where that has lead us to. Finally on our way to building that footy team. Speaking of I should go tell our star goalie he's a big brother. Sebs gonna be so made up to meet his little sister"

'Go on then but just Seb yeah. I know it's selfish but I'm not ready to share her with everyone else just yet " confessed Robert.

'Agreed only Seb. It won't be easy fending the fiesta of family out there desperate to meet you" Aaron brushed his hand softly across the babies forehead.

"If ya see a hint of a Welly out there you make it disappear fast" nstructed Robert. "Oi you can't fight a long standing Dingle tradition especially since your well and truly one of us now Mr Sugden-Dingle". Aaron reached over to quickly kiss Robert on the mouth. Pausing to take one more look at their baby girl. It felt surreal but after everything they were really happy. He turned to go fetch Seb and then they could really celebrate their future as a proper little family.

Robron Week 2022 - Day 2 - Proper Little Family

So Emmerdale liked my Instagram post yesterday, responding to the Xmas throw back post with Robert. Saying I missed Robert & wanting a robron reunion for Aaron’s exit. 🙂😮🥺🤔 they teasing me. Never gone a like from them before, was surprised. Someone on social media team must look through their comments then & see how much most people slate the show generally.
