May 23, 2019 - Tokyo, Japan: At around 3:50 PM, a woman by the name of Yuka Takaoka viciously stabbed her male acquaintance nearly to death at her own residence on the fifth-floor in Shinjuku Ward. Takaoka allegedly used a kitchen knife to carry out the violent stabbing targeting the victim’s abdominal area. Though there’s minimal information regarding the victim, it’s estimated that he’s in his early 20’s or early 30’s and may have worked with Takaoka. He was transported to a hospital where he remains in critical condition, according to Shinjuku police.
Officers will later accuse Yuka Takaoka of attempted murder and have learned that the violent act that transpired was likely the result of an issue in regards of the relationship between Takaoka and the victim after taking her into custody for further questioning.
ā€œSince I loved him so much, I just couldn’t help it,ā€ Takaoka was quoted. ā€œAfter killing [him], I, too, wanted to die.ā€
Original reports claimed that Takaoka’s occupation was unknown, though now it has been learned that she likely works at some sort of hostess club along with the victim she stabbed. Photographs of the incident (cannot be posted due to the graphic nature) have circulated throughout the internet showing Takaoka sitting on the floor, covered in blood, talking to someone on the phone while smoking a cigarette with the victim on the floor bleeding out behind her.
Internet users from Japan and the Western part of the globe have pointed out the resemblance of Takaoka’s behavior to that of a ā€œyandereā€, which is an anime character trope where an individual’s obsession with another person is taken to extreme measures, frequently to the extent where they would either commit murder or dish out extreme violence out of love. Takaoka’s instagram account was also discovered, which contained photographs of herself in cosplay, including yandere characters. Officers are currently investigating the case and looking deeper into the circumstances that could’ve influenced this vicious attack.

Dr. William Sack on Kip Kinkel In his psychological evaluation of 15 year old mass shooter Kip Kinkel, Dr. William Sack cited paranoid schizophrenia as a psychological disorder that Kinkel suffered from, as well as a contributive factor to his crimes. He noted that Kinkel also experienced prominent symptoms of depression that often worsened his schizophrenic psychosis as they arose. Kinkel had evidently been hearing voices consistently since he was twelve years old. He told Dr. Sack that there were 3 different male voices that he heard regularly. One that would insult and berate him, another that encouraged him to kill, and a third that would repeat or respond to the other two voices. Along with his hallucinations, Kip Kinkel also developed delusions that were paranoid in nature. Dr. Sack recorded a total of five main delusions that he observed in Kinkel, all of which made him paranoid. The most noteable delusion was his belief that there was a chip implanted in his brain. This delusion derived from an attempted rationalization of the voices that he’d been hearing since age 12. Dr. Sack concluded that Kip Kinkel’s schizophrenic tendencies directly influenced his crimes. He felt that the buildup of stress and the development of the psychosis had overwhelmed Kinkel’s self control. After being convicted of the murder of his parents and those killed in the mass shooting, along with attempted murder of those injured, Kinkel was sentenced to 111 years without parole. He was put on atypical antipsychotics and antidepressants including Olanzapine. Dr. Sack reported a positive response to the medication on his visit ten days into treatment, as Kinkel told him the voices became much less aggressive and persistent.

ā€œStudious, homebody, funny, religiousā€ were some adjectives used to describe 10-year-old Davi Mota Nogueira, who shot his teacher and committed suicide on September 22, 2011.
Davi Mota Nogueira lived in SĆ£o Caetano do Sul, southeast Brazil, with his 16-year-old brother Gleison Mota and his parents Elenice Silva and Milton Nogueira. They were a religious family and both parents had no complaints about their children, which they truly trusted.
Both Davi and Gleison studied at Alcina Dantas FeijĆ£o school, and Milton was responsible for dropping off the kids at school at 1:00pm on September 22, Thursday. After Milton took them to school and returned home to take a shower, it wasn’t long until he noticed his .38-caliber revolver wasn’t inside the wardrobe, where he used to put it away. Milton is a Civil Guard and the gun was his working tool. Then, he called Elenice to ask if she had taken his revolver, but she denied it. About 1:20pm, Milton drove to the school and asked to talk with his kids. ā€œDad, I didn’t take itā€ stated Davi when questioned about the gun. However, about 3 hours later, Milton received a call from his older son. ā€œDad, it was Davi who brought your gunā€ told Gleison on the phone after being aware that Davi shot his 38-year-old teacher Rosileide Queiros de Oliveira. She had just walked into the classroom when Davi shot her in the back and left the class walking towards the stairs, where he shot himself in the head. He was taken to hospital but died shortly after, while Rosileide Queiros had to be hospitalized, went through two surgeries and survived. She didn’t understand why Davi did that, ā€œShe cries and ask why Davi committed suicide […] She also still don’t understand why he shot herā€ stated Rosileide’s sister. His motivation remains a mystery to his parents and friends who don’t understand how a affectionate child could do something like that.

Kimberley Antonakos was a 21-year-old liberal arts major at the College of Staten Island. She had an exceptionally big heart; on a cold February day in 1995, she took in Joshua Torres, his girlfriend and their young son, who were in desperate need of a place to stay. Antonakos had been friends with Torres’ girlfriend and opened up her home to the needy family. Torres returned the favour by murdering Antpnakos.
While staying with Antonakos, Torres couldn’t help but notice her new Honda Accord, her nice clothes, and nice belongings. Her father, Thomas Antonakos, was a successful computer business owner and certainly wasn’t short of cash. Upon discovering how wealthy the Antonakos family were, Torres concocted a plan to abduct Antonakos for ransom, knowing how close Antonakos was with her father and knowing all to well that he would readily pay the ransom.
Torres enlisted the help of Nicholas Libretti, 20, and Jose Negron, 26. The two accomplices were ordered to grab Antonakos at the garage where she parked her car. At around 2AM on the 1st of March, they did just that. She was bound, blindfolded and then thrown into the trunk of her own car. The two men drove her to an abandoned house in Richmond Hill where Torres was waiting. She was handcuffed, tied to a chair and then tied to a pole.
The men then called Antonakos’ father to make the ransom demand. However, the phone wasn’t answered and the men didn’t wait for the beep on the answering machine. Unaware of the kidnapping, Antonakos was reported missing by her concerned father. The kidnappers soon gave up and turned to the question of what to do with Antonakos. The solution they came up with: burn he alive. As Antonakos was bound to the chair in the derelict basement, Torres lent over and kissed her on the forehead before saying: ā€œI’m sorry it has to end this way, but life sucks.ā€ Afterwards, he doused her in gasoline and burnt her alive.
In June, Torres became convinced Negron was going to the police. As Negron was carrying his son and walking with his wife on the street, somebody came up behind him and shot him in the head. Several months later, Torres and Libretti were arrested after two witnesses came forward to tell police they had overheard the suspects talking about the murder. One suspect was lured by a $10,000 ransom reward - it was offered by a father who never had a chance to pay a ransom.
In November of 1996, Joshua Torres and Nicholas Liberwtti were found guilty of second-degree murder and sentenced to 58 years to life. While the prosecution argued that Torres murdered Negron as well, they could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he was guilty and he was acquitted.

Rampart Range
Tumblr media
ā€œThe first week of March, Dylan said he and some friends were going to the mountains to do an assignment for his video production class. Tom was scheduled for yet another surgery that week, to replace his right shoulder joint. I asked Dylan who was going on the trip, and who would be driving; I had not met two of the kids he mentioned. March is still winter in Colorado, and I reminded him to bring warm clothing, food, and water in case of a weather emergency. When I kissed him good-bye, I made him promise he wouldn’t trespass. It was public land, he assured me; one of the boys knew the area well. He told me they were making an action film in a natural setting, using toy guns. In truth, they were filming theĀ ā€˜Rampart Range’ video, which I did not see or even know about until we were deposed, four years after the tragedy. In it, Dylan, Eric, and Mark Manes- the man who sold them one of the guns- shoot the weapons they have stockpiledā€
