i’m twice as honored as you, believe me. it was SUCH a well-written fic and i happily devoured it multiple times.

and yess the fucking chair scene. it glued itself to my brain for a solid week after i read it

sooooo….Me, Myself, and Chell is a really really good fic. hot as hell with a surprising amount of fluff. plus i’ve always been a sucker for jekyll/hyde scenarios anyway.

Another slowed scene of an animation you don’t really get to see close. Wheatley flinches after disengaging. There’s a little “clunk” noise that you can hear right at the end of all the banging. It’s the sound of him whacking himself with his own handles when he flinches.

Me: Characters ditching their glasses when they become confident is kind of an overdone trope and there’s no real reason why they should-

Random Thoughts of Wheatley

So in the game, like just before the core transfer, GLaDOS says something along the lines of “Do not plug that little idiot into the mainframe!” and Wheatley responds “Yes, you SHOULD plug in this little idiot into the mainframe!”

That got me thinking - Wheatley is completely aware that he’s not very bright. He’s okay with roasting himself by acknowledging that he is, indeed, an idiot.

And yeah, “idiot” and “moron” have the same definition, and Wheatley probably knows that, but that’s not the point here.

I was talking about this with @starry-nightengale who said the following;

“Actually, I heard that in England, ‘moron’ (and some other similar words) is a more serious insult than it is over here. Almost like ‘r*tard’.”

…I believe that explains a lot.
