i joined the indieweb đ
this site is a love letter to my teen years spent on geocities and my present day desire to both be connected to the web but disconnected from social media.
i plan to share photos, poetry, and other trinkets of my soul, but for now i am collecting buttons/blinkies/stamps and remembring how to code. it's been a challenge and i am having a blast!
check it out: clare.nekoweb.org
while it is responsive to mobile it is not optimized. intended layout and fonts will not be visible. please click my tomanotchi to feed them! chat, sign the guestbook, and let me know if you wanna exchange buttons! (18+ only please).

There have been many times when I have thought a lobotomy seemed particularly appealing. The cold slide of metal through my eye socket, reaching down past my frontal lobe where the tool severs the nerve fibers and permanently shutting part of me down.
At no time has the urge been stronger than while listening to Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros.
#working on a review for#Fourth Wing#and this is what i have so far#been procrastinating so hard because revisiting this book is giving me psychic damage#and i listened to it in fucking March

it's me lol i call my friends babe and my partner bro đ
as we march towards a shining era of more people calling their friends "babe" and "sweetheart" platonically, let us also strive towards a brighter tomorrow wherein more couples call each other "bruh" and "my dude" as a term of romantic endearment

there's no such thing as a medicaid freeloader. everyone needs healthcare. it does not matter if you don't believe someone has a valid reason to not be working or in school- they are still a human being and human beings need healthcare. even if someone IS this strawman ""just lazy"" unemployed person, they deserve healthcare. sorry but i do not believe that the right to medical treatment without financial ruin is predicated on someone's "usefulness" to society. it's depressing that this is apparently too radical a belief.

i thinkit would be cool if there was an omegaverse but for salmon instead of wolves. Like when the time comes certain members of society get really juicy musclewise and get yiffy fangs and are suddenly compelled to return to the neighborhood they grew up in and 96 hours later show up barefoot in full starvation mode and ravaged by walking through interstate traffic to fuck whoevwr smells the best in the local burger king. Then afterwards they die and disintegrate to be eaten by seagulls in the parking lot

sharing this since most, if not all, of my pals here listen to music.
if you havenât heard about the latest evil moves Spotify is making, take the time to educate yourself. remember that music streaming was developed in response to the labelsâ inability to staunch piracy, and instead of supporting the artists, streaming platforms essentially found ways to profit off legalizing said piracy by becoming a well-paid middle man. the artists still see fractions of pennies per stream, which means only major artists who make most of their money elsewhere anyway get any payout, and streaming platforms are constantly trying to find new loopholes to keep even that meager revenue. itâs time to cancel your Spotify subscriptions and delete the app entirely; they still get ad revenue from listening for free.
other platforms may be *slightly* less overtly evil, but i strongly encourage moving back to building personal music libraries. physical media and even digital collections stored and played on your devices are more sustainable and give you more agency and control over your music listening. it also means that if a streaming site shuts down or the licensing lapses on a particular album, your music wonât be lost to you forever.
