actually lemme also make the necrophilia post. bc harrow and John as the two people who love alecto/the body ARE connected by that like they are connected by this desire to possess and control a dead woman. and I think it's from two different sides - for John putting her to sleep is the control; for harrow her being a corpse is a crucial aspect of the appeal. a corpse can't interfere with your fantasy. she can be an object onto which you can project your will to live. I think that harrows love is very real but it's also that kind of possession of like, I am the ninth, the ninth protects the tomb, the body in the tomb is mine to protect ie. why harrow is cavcoded for the body ie. her strange little gender. oh goddamnit I got distracted from necrophilia again. I'm just saying a dead body is a good place to project all your shit onto bc it can't talk back and say something annoying like "I am your creature, gloom mistress"
