when will the site open?

i'm planing to open it around the 31st or on the 1st as the last week of october is going to be a bit busy for me! however, since everything is pretty much done i'm planing on launching a soft open for the discord members by the end of this week!

lore drop 03 - werewolves

werewolves live mostly topside in the large ranches and open fields of the outlands, farmland, etc. werewolves are highly regarded in lockwood as the enforcers of the supernatural and human world, but they tend to be mostly pacifists unless they are forced to be otherwise.

a pack is usually composed of two alphas, that oversee every decision the pack makes. as a rule, what the alpha says goes. alongside the alphas there are usually two or three betas, that tend to oversee the more practical aspects of pack life. one of them tends to be more focused on advising the alphas, other has a role of keeping the pack secure from outside threats as well as keeping the order with and a third one will often take up the role of the main caregiver.

you can either be born a werewolf or be turned into one. created werewolves are so through a bite, or a deep enough scratch from another werewolf. werewolves are not immortal but have a prolonged lifespan, and can live upwards to 700 to 1000 years. the aging process slows down once a wolf enters the third decade of life, up till then they age normally.

werewolves feel compelled to shift on nights of full moon, but can shift at will and being too long in one form or another can have negative effects on the body and mind. werewolves have enhanced senses both in and out of wolf form. they are super fast, super strong, and can heal faster than any other being. their pack mentality means that they have innate knowledge of where their members are, and if they are in danger, and there can be shared messages passed between each other almost like a sixth sense. werewolves are the only species that have been proven to kill vampires without specialty weapons, so long as they don’t get bitten.

werewolves are sensitive to silver and wolfsbane. silver burns a werewolf and is the only type of metal or physical weapon that will leave a mark on a werewolf. wolfsbane, like a poison, will react internally and cause wolves to get incredibly sick in even the smallest of doses. larger doses of wolfsbane will kill a werewolf. while werewolves can kill vampires, the revserse is also true as vampire bites are deadly for werewolves.

lore drop 02 - banshees

Banshees are as old as witches are and they will continue to exist as long as there are witches. Becoming a banshee is a curse that befalls any witch that took no care on how to use their powers. When a witch overuses their powers they will drain themselves of the ability to produce magic and essentially all of their magic will be drained from them in their last scream of power, leaving them a shell of who they once were.

Banshees will still maintain the witch’s extended lifespan, able to live up to 150 years though many die earlier because of their tendency to find themselves in dangerous situations and the strain their condition puts in their minds.

Banshees have mild precognition abilities in the sense that they can feel when something bad is about to happen, however they cannot know for sure what it is. They often find themselves drawn to those very same events in hopes of perhaps stopping them. A Banshee's wail has the ability to stun most supernatural folk, and for humans, it can fill them with despair and hopelessness.

Banshees are immune to the bite of a werewolf or a vampire, and are actually impervious to most forms of magic.
