"Eh?" Haruka glanced down to the small thorn pokemon at her side just as she kneeled down to examine the newly planted berries. Her flygon next to her quickly slipped around her to put his face right in the pokemon's in greeting. A human voice grabbed her attention, however. "Oh! It ain't nothin'! Rindo, don't be too rowdy." She quickly said, smiling at her pokemon as he circled around the roselia and attempted to befriend them by nudging their head.

   "Hey!!... Slow down!... Can't ya... see.... I'm tryin' to ask ya somethin'?!?"It was a bit of a spectacle, should there have been any to witness it, as the girl briskly sped walked to keep up with the blond. Even with just that, she already out of breath.

7. my character calming yours down

         "Wow. Oooookay! Ya gotta calm down! Alright? Can't understand a damn word ya say. Tell me again what's up?"

Ow. Blunt! Didn't even humor her.

    She felt the small pressure against her shoulder and, of course, stopped in her tracks. Though it was originally to wipe the strangers hand off her shoulder. Her own was even just inches away from sweeping against his fingers to shoo off when he spoke and caused her to freeze. Blood hastily made its way to her cheeks, as if eagerly wanting a prime seat to watch her embarrass herself, and she leaned away from him to look at him wide eyed in her surprise.

   "WELL... No! But! But!" 

        She hurriedly tried to find an excuse. This was definitely even more unbecoming than simply being honest. "But, see! I was just tryin' to act like it, so you didn't get all panicked on me or whatever!" Well, at least it sounded cooler and more like a leader in her head. Her voice squeaking certainly didn't help her. 

Brows raising when she placed the nav up close to him, it looked like a much more advanced Pokegear. .. Probably was just that, silly Petrel. Anyway, he followed the locations she was pointing at, only to realize that she herself was just as lost as he was.

This would only make the adventure all the more fun then, huh? Trying to navigate themselves out of a forest full of who knows what.. At best, they would get out of here without sustaining injury, right? That was all he could hope for at this point, even if it took a day or two to escape.

When she finally seemed to give a statement of where the possible road could be, he was just shrugging and nodding away. He might’ve been older, but he was only at a third through his life, and watching her struggle so sincerely had him cracking smiles thinking back to being so naive.

What a shame honestly, that he didn’t get the clearest of looks of the where-abouts of this road, but it was so very obvious she was walking in the wrong direction. Even if he didn’t know maps very well, he knew that east was right, but this girl..! Ahhh, yes, what was he thinking believing they’d be out of the forest in a day or two. Petrel, you’ve done and got yourself stuck in a forest and it is life or death.

Stepping towards her as she 180’d into a new direction, his arm reaching to grasp her shoulder and stop her motions. “You’ve got no idea where we are either, do you?” He stated in the most humorous of tones, a chilly grin laced at his lips, yeah, he was going to die here. If Arceus saved them, he would … .. Probably do nothing, but still be all the grateful anyway!

"Yeah. Toge'er. Great. We're like two loser peas in a pod." She mumbled thoughtfully, albeit sarcastically. Despite her tone, that was actually a nice thought. Now she didn't have to worry about this stranger, and the company was nice too. Though she would've much preferred a less embarrassing scenario than this.

A flying type. Well, least it made it clear what his idea was. "Gotta flygon." She simply answered before she gazed up towards the sky which was blanketed nearly completely by green and brown of thick branches. It wasn't looking any thinner in these parts either. "Wasn't sure earlier about going through 'ose branches though, and none of my pokemon can cut 'e damned things."

However, maybe with this guy, she could get some leeway for a take off? "Hey, maybe you can clear 'em for me, stranger? 'En we can take off on my flygon, if ya don't got a flyer yourself." She actually frivolously hoped he hadn't one if he was able to make a clearing. She hated the thought of getting helped, especially if she wasn't able to return the favor at least.

     Red simply shook his head, showing Haruka his terrible excuse for a navigational device. It was outdated to the point where it might have seemed unrecognizable. That was okay, Red didn’t plan on updating his technology anytime soon, and he doubted he ever would- though it’d probably be a necessity at a time like this, when he actually was lost. At least he had a general idea of where he was now.

                「 “S’pose we’re lost together, then.” 」▾

     An obvious statement, but it was also a sign that Red didn’t want to walk alone. Though maybe with the help of his Pokémon, he would be able to find his way out? But then again, this other trainer could have tried the exact same thing with no luck at all. Was it worth it to ask?

                「 “Got a Flying-type or anything …?” 」▾

     It was definitely a good thing he’d decided to bring Pidgeot with him.

"Prin-??" She dramatically sighed at him, "Sorry, sorry. I'm busy not associatin' wi' borin' people. 'Sides, what do you expect me to do about it?"

He rolls his eyes at the brown haired girl, “Then do something to entertain me, princess.” Brendan added, mockingly.

After scrambling away, she instantly made the mistake of trying to step on her broken leg, simply out of habit of walking. She winced and retracted it, loosing her balance from the sudden weight shift. Just to find herself once again being supported by the stranger. So much for being able to handle herself. Not exactly gym leader material, she thought with disdain. At least the stranger was nice. Understanding, even, since he was right. She wasn't going to admit it. Instead, she let out a large sigh and put a hand on the shoulder closest to her to keep her up right. She wanted to verbally berate herself in all honesty, but, well, she wasn't exactly willing to do that in front of a stranger. 

 "Hope 'at bird comes back soon. As great as it is limpin' around all pathetic-like." She blurted out, a vague and off handed way to accept his help. "Uh. Name's Haruka, by 'e way. Sorry... S-sorry for 'e trouble."

"Relax you’re making it worse!" he sighed as the other wriggled free from his support. He could understand the situation she’s goin through, if it were him being all banged up he’d do the exact same thing. "Look I don’t know you all that well but you need help, even if you don’t admit it..just let me help." He was right next to the other just in case she fell over.
