For 90% of American families Harvard is more affordable than their local state school. Watch Lucerito's story to learn more. ⠀ ⠀ “I found out that for a family like ours, we wouldn’t have to worry about affording Harvard. Harvard has such an amazing financial aid program that for us in reality it was much more affordable then attending any of the state schools. And for me Harvard wasn’t just for me, it was for my whole family, and I think my whole family has benefitted immensely from our experience at Harvard." ⠀ ⠀ To find out how financial aid works click the link in our bio. #DiscoverHarvard #Harvard #financialaid (at Harvard University)

"What is my vision for Harvard students? It's that people come here and find something about themselves that enables them to project themselves into lives of meaning and purpose. It's that they find something they love, will matter to them, and will matter to people around them.” - Drew Faust, President of Harvard University ⠀ ⠀ Today President Faust announced she’ll be stepping down next year. We’ll be sad to see her go! #Harvard 📷: Justin Ide (at Harvard University)

Widener Library was named after Harry Elkins Widener, Class of 1907, an avid collector of rare books. 📚 After an overseas trip, Harry and his parents decided to return home on the #Titanic. The ensuing disaster claimed both Harry and his father. Mrs. Widener survived, and to honor her son’s memory, funded this library in Harry's name with a special chamber containing all 3,300 volumes from his priceless book collection. Take a #VirtualTour of Harvard to see inside spaces like Widener Library. Follow the link in our bio to start your tour! ⠀ ⠀ #DiscoverHarvard #Harvard #HarvardHistory (at Harvard University)

"I got to learn that there are so many different ways to make Harvard my own, and I would encourage students to dedicate themselves and their experiences to making sure that their time at Harvard is their own – a space that they want, a space that they’ll grow from and enjoy. Regardless of how the same or different it looks from other people’s experiences, or from the way other people are moving through Harvard. Take advantage of all of the different avenues that there are for you to make it your own. This is your four years at this place. Make Harvard your home. Make Harvard your own, whatever that looks like for you.” - Yesenia, Class of 2017 ⠀ ⠀ Thank you for joining us this week as graduating seniors shared with us their favorite memories, future plans, what they’ll miss most about Harvard, and advice they have for the incoming Class of 2021. "I’m going to miss a lot of things. One being a general college thing – being close to your friends. Never in your life will you probably be within 30 seconds of everyone you care about. Two, the food. I don’t know how to cook food. If I try to cook chicken, I’m going to get salmonella. I have no idea, so that I’m going to miss. At Harvard, I’m going to miss the Hasty Pudding, because I’m never going to do theater again probably, and it’s something that’s such a safe space. It’s a space that’s let’s you be yourself and be the biggest person you can be, and you always have fun, and I know when I step in there I’m going to have a good time and not have to care about anything. Those are all things I’m going to miss.” - Dan, Class of 2017 ⠀ ⠀ Follow along this week as graduating seniors share with us their favorite memories, future plans, what they’ll miss most about Harvard, and advice they have for the incoming Class of 2021 🎓#Harvard2017 #Harvard17 #Graduation (at Harvard University)

"The Asian American Dance Troupe at Harvard is around 95% comprised of people who never danced before. It’s super cool, just to have such a massive group of people do something that is way out of their comfort zone. They are not getting any academic credit for it – not getting any sort of prize or acknowledgement or anything – and are honestly just there to dance and have fun and to make friends. That’s probably one of the best parts of my four years here.” - Elaine, Class of 2017 ⠀ ⠀ Follow along this week as graduating seniors share with us their favorite memories, future plans, what they’ll miss most about Harvard, and advice they have for the incoming Class of 2021 🎓#Harvard2017 #Harvard17 #Graduation (at Harvard University)

"It's cliché, but the one thing I’m really going to think about at Commencement is that a dream of mine came true. To have been fortunate enough to self-actualized or have reached your mountaintop, to know what that feels like, is such a rare and special moment. But even more importantly, where I've been able to have this experience, I feel it’s necessary to look outside myself to try to provide that opportunity for other people. One thing that scares me is complacency, and Harvard has been very good about making sure that doesn't happen. There’s always another challenge around the corner. I think I’ve really grown, and I don’t think I’ve lost my way. I don’t know exactly what question I want to spend my life answering, or in what space I want to occupy to help drive progress after Harvard. But my moral compass will point in the same direction, and in so many ways I think Harvard and the people here have made me a much better person. I’m excited to see how I can apply what Harvard has endowed me with over these past four years.” - Michael, Class of 2017 ⠀ ⠀ Follow along this week as graduating seniors share with us their favorite memories, future plans, what they’ll miss most about Harvard, and advice they have for the incoming Class of 2021 🎓#Harvard2017 #Harvard17 #Graduation (at Harvard University)

"When I first got here, I met my Admissions Officer, because I needed to meet this person who thought I should be here. I still get tea and lunch with him now even as a senior. In my sophomore year, he was one of the first people I told that I didn’t think I should do pre-med and bio. He said ‘I was waiting for you to get to that. I always knew’ and I said 'You could have saved me two years of lab,' but he wanted me to figure it out myself. That moment was so important, because I knew then that I was doing the right thing, and I’d come to that decision on my own, but getting his support was everything.” - Gigi, Class of 2017 ⠀ ⠀ Follow along this week as graduating seniors share with us their favorite memories, future plans, what they’ll miss most about Harvard, and advice they have for the incoming Class of 2021 🎓#Harvard2017 #Harvard17 #Graduation (at Harvard University)
