Torbek used to be a human I think. And he’s cursed to be yucky forever I think also. He used to be beautiful and cruel (the Other) and now he’s disgusting and kind. He really only started being violent when he gained more self awareness because of the literal alien living in his brain. *disappears into the woods forever

Would I sound insane if I said I think the Ex girlfriend was an excuse that Pyke latched onto when Ko called him out for being mopey? See, I think that when Ko noticed Pyke acting distracted, she clocked it as jealousy. She would then realize that Pyke is down bad for that veteran (whether Pyke told her or she just assumed that he is ; is debatable ). That would explain why she gave Ziggy “a look”. She was trying to gauge if he also knew. When she realized that Rett and Zig were in fact clueless, that also being combined with the fact that Pyke was giving her “stfu do not say a word ” eyes, she quickly came up with the excuse of an ex girlfriend. While this was going on, Pyke was most definitely panicking internally about Ko reading into his behavior. I would also assume that Pyke isn’t ‘out of the closet’ yet , at least with the rest of the crew. So when Ko noticed and gave him an out, he took it and ran with this idea of a girl. Rett assumed the girl they’re talking about was Dandy, so he went along with it as well. This also explains why she told him she loved him. She wants him to be okay.

Not to be cringe fail but my favorite pykerett moment is when Mrs. Ume was all “oh Rett you’re such a gentleman!” and Pyke went “Heh..😏” Like okay girl happy pride month to you ig 🙄

ALSO when the crew was at the club and Rett was pretending to flirt with those Glowblin chicks. Andy mentioned that Pyke started drinking more after that and both Mace and Richie went “Hm🤭” WHAT DO YOU KNOW?? WHAT ARE YOU 3 HIDING?? MACE AND ANDY…WHEN I FIND YOU MACE AND ANDY..y’all aren’t prepared for who I’m gonna become on the 28th. They make me insane

I find it interesting how in the crooked moon oneshot, the ouaw characters that got the power of flight included the one most grounded of them all and the one who has shackles weighing him down literally and figuratively. There's something to dissect there but I can't think of it yet.

Retconning the rest of the crew to be largely made up had the (possibly) unintended effect of making Pyke and Rett's partnership feel a lot more intimate.

Before, it was like a bunch of siblings living together, now, it was just the 2 of them. Alone on that ship, for days.

I love Kremy x Gideon. Not because it’s “Will they, won’t they?” It’s a “could they, SHOULD they?”

These men shouldn’t be together. They both have narcissistic, selfish tendencies and they enable each other to be worse (simply because neither one wants to be better because they think they “earned” it). They need to break up and they’re not even together yet.
