There’s one on his left ankle, wrapping around it--a burn scar. It was on a mission with his teammates...the enemy had super heated chains he could swing around with ease and it ended up wrapping around his ankle, permanently burning into his skin. If his teammates hadn’t acted fast, he would’ve been taken captive and further tortured. He’s very self conscious of this one.

One on his right hip, a simple scar made from a kunai. Had it cut any deeper, it would’ve carved a scar into his pelvic bone as well.

There is a very faint one on his right thigh. He tends to be a little embarrassed about it, though it’s nothing too unordinary.

     “I’m not...” he rubbed the back of his neck and he tried to hide a yawn.

“a combination of both.” his words are cryptic and he offers a small smile to transition to a new topic. it was always like this with suengri— a word or two about his own well-being before he reverts the attention on others… always on others. “nah, these are for me. i’ll buy him some when i head back. they’re better to eat when they’re warm .”

     He found that pretty endearing, how he cared about Souta. He’d seen plenty of examples of their bond, and he could understand Suen’s frustration now when they were younger, how he probably thought he wasn’t trying hard enough as Kadia’s older brother.

     “That’s really nice of you. I’m sure he’d really appreciate the gesture.” Sometimes he wondered though, just how close the two really were...and what attached them to one another?

Suengri thinks that buying coffee for Kyohi was one way to make up for having him rise up so early in the morning. He knew that if he was required to wake up at such a time, he would expect a similar treatment, if not more. He was also very grateful that the owners of the coffee shop were one of the few who opened up early. So really, there was no large line and the transaction was smooth and with ease. 

“Well…” he gives him another bag that contained some breakfast pastries, “no, I didn’t. I was awake for most of the night and by the time I was heading out, I had already drank a cup or two…” he then shows him another bag in his hand and cracks a small grin. “I did get some pastries for myself though.”

     “Were you pulling an all-nighter again, or is something just bugging you?” Then again, he wasn’t too positive on Suen’s sleeping habits. He could be a bit of a mystery, even now. Though when the pastries came out, he brightened up a little more, then took a sip of his coffee.

     “Well then! Are you going to eat them all yourself or share with Souta?”

     Well, that was a surprise. While Suen seemed to have warmed up to him(again, surprising) over the years...slowly, Kyohi was still caught off guard by the littlest things he’d do for him or with him. He sat up slowly and stretched as he yawned and accepted the cup.

     Taking a look at the coloring, it seemed he’d remembered how much cream he liked in his coffee, even.

     ...The little things sometimes did make a big difference.

     “Thank you...did you get yourself any?”
