You know, it really is quite frustrating the amount of times I scroll by a post that says "if men experienced [thing that trans men experience], this wouldn't happen [except it does, to trans men, usually worse than to cis women]"

"If men could have periods, tampons would be free" >>> trans man gets beaten up for requesting sanitary products in bathrooms

"If men got uterine cancer, there would be a cure" >>> trans man killed via medical neglect due to being trans as his doctors wanted to punish him for being transgender and betraying womanhood

"If men were catcalled, it would be considered assault" >>> trans man gets catcalled and then sexually assaulted for ignoring their advances

"If men had to worry about being alone at night, there would be a streetlight every 5 feet" >>> trans man murdered while walking home alone from work

But then if I say anything about it, I'm told I'm a misogynist "erasing women's struggles".

I should’ve just slept in the tent tonight. My insomnia can’t bother me when I’m sleeping in a tent.

I fell asleep so easily in a small tent that I had to crouch into curled up in a sleeping bag on an air mattress. No pillow. Didn’t have to toss and turn all night. Slept solidly. Only woke up when I needed to pee.

Yet I can’t sleep on a memory foam mattress surrounded by comfy pillows and plushies and covered by a weighted blanket. The only way I can sleep in my own bed is if I’m sleep deprived. And my sleep is never truly restful when I do sleep.

I struggle to fall asleep in a camper, too.

I cannot seem to put this in any other way, but the way countries like the US speak about LGBT issues in other countries feels like propaganda.

There is so much news that feels like purposeful misinformation, or incomplete facts meant to make their own population believe other countries have it "worse."

The tiktokers calling James Barry a woman are of the same ilk that tried "reclaiming" Alan Hart as a lesbian in the 80s while telling his wife she was in denial when she told them to stop. These are people who will piss on the graves of dead trans men to feed their own narrative while telling their loved ones to kick rocks and I think we should start treating that as the act of violence it is and not a misconception. They know. They don't fucking care.

#my wife is on the SOR for being gay #no joke #she hit on a girl in a straight bar once #in 1997 #and while the girl was into it #the off duty cop sitting nearby was not #and so he arrested her for ‘soliciting homosexual activity’ #which in our state was still a felony #in 1997 (and would remain so until Lawrence v Texas in 2003) #and since ‘soliciting homosexual activity’ was a felony and a sex crime #she got put on The List #she is still on there to this day #because it costs MONEY to ask a judge to take you off #and she has tried four times#since 2003 #to get taken off the SOR #but every time the judge has said something like ‘no you pled guilty to the crime i can’t possibly take you off the sex offender registry’ #with no acknowledgement of what the actual crime was #(the crime of being a butch lesbian hitting on a cute girl who was into it) #(in 1997)

Younger queer people need to realize that the SOR being used against queer people simply for being queer isn’t some ancient history thing. It still impacts queer people today. And it can quite easily be used that way again.

Had Hephaestus appear in my dream last night. I don't remember exactly what was happening in my dream or who I was with. I know I was with someone talking to them. I don't know exactly what we were doing or where we were going or if we were even going anywhere. Hephaestus appeared towards the end of the dream, I don't recall if he said anything. I did recognize him and greet him, and the person I was with asked me who he was and I answered. Unfortunately, that's all I can remember.

I'm not sure if it means anything. It could've just been because I watched a restoration video the night before and thought about how I almost went into metalsmithing in college. Still, it was interesting.
