For most of us, college/university is hella expensive- even if some of us may have government schemes or something else to fall back on as safety nets, it ends up costing quite a bit. But as it stands now, a degree is important to access certain jobs which in turn can help with accessing a better life.

For close to two years now, students in Gaza have been living a life of uncertainty. When I talk to my friends, they often tell me how difficult it has been to access even the most basic necessities of life. Still they are persevering with the hope that one day they will rebuild both Gaza and their lives back. They have enrolled themselves in online courses and distance learning programs and are working hard to get a degree. However these cost money- from renting a space, to paying for both electric and net connection to do the course work. So to help with that, Gaza based ISNAD FOUNDATION ( reblogged by Nabulsi ) has been started and for now it is sponsoring 30 students. The goal is to raise $2000 USD per month to cover these bases. So please spread the word and donate if you can.

Recently the official blog for ISNAD got deleted by the tumblr staff, making it difficult for the campaigners to navigate around the site; so it would help a lot if you would also follow them on their new blog for the updates. "Israel" is trying its best to destroy the future of a whole generation. And as you know, crippling a whole generation by not letting them access education won't only affect them, but all those who come after them too. So please do not turn away now.

an incomplete list of things in the ace attorney live action movie that make me lose my goddamn mind:

it's not a legal drama it's more like a conspiracy thriller movie

no music. like seriously dead silence for half of it, it feels like a horror movie

it's so dark, there are entire scenes where you can't see anyone's face and it doesn't feel like a creative choice

the spirit channelling is done with cgi it's fucking bizarre. at one point the ghost of the dead fiance appears and her head is a birdcage

the steel samurai balloon is a HUGE cgi monstrosity

mia has a cord phone but in court the evidence is displayed via a hologram projector which comes out of the ceiling

lotta is a completely normal person

everyone is completely expressionless, except phoenix who makes some of the weirdest noises i've ever heard

i'm so serious the child acting is better than the adults

it is the most clinically unfunny movie i've ever seen. every 'joke' has no tonal shift so it sounds serious

it's shot like an arthouse movie. there are so many random scenes that are 3 seconds long and the continuity between shots does not exist

every time someone says something stupid in court everyone in the gallery falls off their chair

mia is even more of a deus ex machina in this movie than in the games. she wins phoenix's first trial for him and inexplicably steals the DL6 bullet before they ever need it

yeah them getting tased in this movie is barely an event it just happens and then cuts to the next scene

the blue badger is an empty suit possessed by ? something? it's never explained

von karma's breakdown takes THREE MINUTES of screentime during which only he speaks and there are an ungodly amount of jumpcuts as he's walking around the courtroom. and no music.

grossberg, april may and redd white are all the same character and he's a chainsmoking journalist

however. the most egregious change made in this movie that makes it the least believable adaptation.
