sad fact : ever since he was born his family has been hunted down by humans due to misinformation, gaslighting and discrimination so his mother raised him and she told him to stay strong and bold for her sake and she died because of her wounds being mad lethal many years later after that incident he met his wife and 8 months later they had akane

Some years later while him and his wife were basically swimming around his wife got impaled in the head by a harpoon and zenkichi saw her corpse getting dragged into a boat he was heartbroken and traumatized at the same time not knowing the hunters were coming for him so he grabbed his daughter and swam fast as he could

until he found a naval mine area and the hunters got scared and retreated because they do not want to get blown up

after that zenkichi felt sad and afraid and he fears that all of this hunting will repeat again with akane when she gets older and she'll be captured by humans and be killed just like his wife

so he was now in a vegetative state went up to those naval mines and tried to touch them but something stopped him

It wasn't somebody's voice....

it was his mind speaking to him about his memories and everything if he wasted away his own life then his mother and his wife won't be avenged and there killer won't be put to justice

Zenkichi after his mind spoke to him after realizing his decision he says angrily

"what am I doing!?.....I have a daughter on the line!...I-I can't do this!"

So he backed up away from those sea mines and went to the cave and hugged his daughter and he promised himself that he will protect akane and teach her how to hunt and gather

so she can be strong just like her ancestors and her mother

and find the killer that killed his wife.

Fun fact : she killed her fiance by poisoning his caviar with a syringe filled with advanced cyanide that she found at the docks and she now knows hypnotism and she now has a secondary company where people can hire assassins to kill husbands or wives that are being really toxic and abusive

Her father was killed mysteriously and she didn't know who was the killer until....she found out it was akechi and she hit that mf on the head with a bat to the point akechi had a small concussion and he apologized profusely to the point where he plucked out his own tooth and gave to haru,

she forgave him but the only thing he had to do was to be an assassin into her company and he agreed with a smug on his face

fun fact : the reason why maruki had a mental breakdown all because his girlfriend was dead

was because of this MF right here

all because maruki's girlfriend was wanted in a state in a nearby river sooo this fucker killed his girlfriend and buried her body near his house and akechi thought no one will notice buuut his two friends noticed & joker slapped him in the face rly hard and told him to never do this again because maruki will probably try to kill him

and then maruki found out about it after going to rumi's house saw a ransom note he took the note and ran until he saw a hand near the sand so he grabbed the hand and lo and behold

it was rumi

decapitated

and still keeping that friendship bracelet on even in death

maruki traumatized about this, akechi told him that he did it because he did for a bounty with a smirk on his face and maruki distraught about this had a meltdown and grab the golden harpoon that he had in his hand and almost impaled akechi therefore almost killing him

so sumi and joker basically swim for their lives with akechi in pain while a madman basically chases them away from his home

after the whole fiasco sumi and joker confronted maruki about this and he apologized for acting so hostile to them except for akechi that MF got lucky this time and he will not mess with a mersquid ever again

Fun fact : his mother was killed when he was at a very young age and he was captured by humans and he was kept in an aquarium until...many years later they decided to free him, and he was admired by the sea being beautiful AF and when he was wandering around he found a waterproof sketchbook & a pencil and he had kept it ever since

futaba taught him how to hunt food to survive and survive many climates and ever since then these two have become best friends with each other and

yusuke when he was at the aquarium back then he was fed regularly and he got five star meals he didn't know much about hunting but he got used to hunting for his food in the sea

Fun fact : she stole 50% of an entire american navy fleet ( in one month w/ a little bit of help ) because she wants to. now the navy had to get it back because they need it so they basically trade and gave her a purple seashell with some gold coins on the side and her dad however agreed to that deal and bought the American fleet back to the Navy
