Second to last stage of the scrambler. Support hand only malfunction clearance with at least one hit on steel. Shooter clears the weapon one handed then fires support hand only. This drill can incorporate many different weapons and stations for time and hits. We have used up to 10 weapons for the drill. Shooters must move position to position and navigate through the malfunctions. It works really well when different platforms beside Glock are used. Injured shooter/ weapon recovery/ malfunction drill all in one. Student has been shot in the left leg and left arm. In the process of being hit the student dropped his weapon and landed on the ground. Now the drill begins. The shooter must move to his weapon, recover it and engage the threat. We have a safety hold his leg to simulate a broken leg. Again, you see we used a spare magazine for his injured hand, still not the greatest idea but we used what we had. Could the student used a different way to reload the weapon? Sure. Use of the holster might have been better. He elected to pin it with his leg.
