Well, I might have shipped Alei with Malice for a longer time now... The idea, as well as this picture, are still work in progress - I think these two had some sort of romantic tension and would probably have started a relationship if Alei hadn't been MIA and hiding away from the Legions for decades. Malice was sure she could get some peace after helping Crecia bringing peace among the Untied Legions and ex-Dominion soldiers, but a much missed figure of her past decided to reveal himself on a rainy night. btw i think Alei's old name could Shadowscream

Her Backstory: Moonlit Water hails from a kodan sanctuary called the Song of the Stars, situated on the western side of the Anvil Rock Mountain. their sister sanctuary was called Song of the Sun, on the eastern slope. Together the two sanctuaries collaborated to document and monitor the movement of the sky, both astrological bodies and celestial spirits that inhabit it. Both sanctuaries were destroyed in the Dragonstorm of 1334, most of the extensive records were destroyed, and Moonlit Water had to flee. Now she wanders Tyria, hoping to find somewhere she can continue fulfilling the sanctuaries' purpose. (the astralarium in istan, gurl!!! the desert is too hot for her though)

Her Magic: A bit of headcanon: celestials have names, but a lot of the time, there is no spoken language equivalent. They are the embodiments of the stars, and each twinkling of a star is unique: that is like their name being broadcasted. Using a large, reflective body of water during a clear full moon night, Moony can coordinate intercepting ripples on the surface to match the unique twinkle of a distant celestial body, magnifying the reflected light and essentially calling its name. She can draw down curious celestials that otherwise might be very hard to contact, her magic is an act of propitiation in itself. So when people require the consultation of a particular celestial, whether to beseech a blessing or pursue information, she can help them out.

Moony is also trained and sensitive to the inward moods and motives of celestials, like an animal behaviorist but for spirits lol. Since she has gained the goodwill of many celestials with her magic, she can utilise their presence in combat, basically the same as druid celestial form: lots of healing, lots of CC, shielding. Not a lot of damage though, unless she uses a lot of energy to call upon powerful spirits to aid in combat.
