Why is all of this at retcon? Isn't this the type of stuff everyone has been talking about anyway? Like, I swear there's a good handful of people who said this
AFO being behind EVERYTHING in Tenko’s life means he wasn’t a victim of circumstance, and AFO didn’t just prey upon that. He did everything. Even decay was genetically altered to be WORSE. It just feels like a massive disservice to that Tomura/Tenko’s character, and the whole concept revolving around being more than your quirk/your nature not wholly determined by your quirk. Sure it was a popular theory that AFO gave him his quirk. but that doesn’t make it good.
