As Hayden jumped off the stage and began heading towards his brothers thanking the people who complimented him he could hear his younger sisters voice who was pushing through the crowd and running towards him. He had a soft spot for the girls in his family and held his arms out for her picking her up as she hugged him complementing how good he did. “Aw thank you little Lele I was so worried you left back to campus alone.” he spoke loud enough for her to hear him. 

Knox hadn’t really been paying much attention to the music.  She was mainly trying to stay in the shadows. Being around people was never her skill. And dancing was actually something she was awful at.  But she couldn’t help but smile when she heard her brother’s voice over the microphone.  And that smile grew when he began to play and sing.  She had heard him play multiple times before, sometimes he would sing and play for her when she really missed home.  But this was in front of so many people, so many people that obviously thought he was as amazing as she did. She left her safe hidden spot against the wall to get a better view of Hayden.  He really was doing amazing. When he finished and jumped off the stage she couldn’t help but run up and tackle him with a hug. “Hayden, you did so amazing! Everyone loved it!”

“Oh no, no, no, I mean, I can see why you would think that but like a guitar has six strings, this little guy has four, so yeah his name is a ukulele, see?” He holds up the ukulele and strums the strings.

Chasity was intrigued by the sound coming from the stage when Hayden took it. She looked up at him and hten smiled watching him. When he let the stage, she walked over to him, “What was that you’re playing? Is it a mini guitar?”

As Hayden was mid song he could hear his brothers cheering him on, Kaleb being the loudest. He couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle. He winked at his family who were in the corner cheering him on as he finished his song. Jumping off stage all he wanted to do was get to his family but of course he was stopped by a few people who wanted to compliment him. "Thank you, thank you, yeah yeah, thanks." Hayden thanked trying his best to get past the crowd until finally Kaleb made it to Hayden patting his back. "That was pretty sick I cannot even lie, I wanna go back up there." he laughed. "Makes me miss home though."

Kaleb could recognize his brother’s voice from the second he began testing the mic, turning his head to the direction where Hayden was he caught sight of him setting everything up. He confusingly watched as he took a sip of his cup that probably had more alcohol in it than punch and smiled, always having a soft spot for his brothers hidden talent of playing and singing with the ukulele that he felt he spiritually had since birth. Knowing Hayden had only really played in front of the Kealoha family and even was slightly afraid then, he admired his courage and hoped his big brother could pull it all off until his session was over and he hoped even more that everyone there would like it as much as he knew he would. As Hayden played and sang away Kaleb excitedly clapped and nudged the people beside him, “look look! It’s my fucking brother up there! This is so awesome” he laughed before cheering loudly trying to let Hayden know he was doing great and make him comfortable. If Kaleb could, he’d have his brother up there for the rest of the night and jam to that but he could see him finishing up and getting off the stage. Kaleb made it through the crowd and patted his brother on the back, “dude that dj should be paying you. You were amazing” he honestly spoke, overjoyed that Hayden even had the balls to do that.

“I’m sorry my ears must not be working properly because I could have sworn I just heard you call me a shit head? As for my amazing ‘uke’ shit heads aren’t very big in sharing details with others, now if you’ll excuse me I’ll leave you alone with your rotting corpse.”

“Kealoha…” Kaipo sucked in a short breath of air and crossed her arms. “You know… all of this time I’ve regarded you as that shithead resident advisor that helped me with me with one of my suitcases and proceeded to drop it on my foot a few weeks ago  �� but I’ve got to hand it to you… that was some tight stuff you pulled right there.” She then pointed to his ukulele and raised an eyebrow. “Also… that uke? You have to tell me where you got it. The sound quality was so clear that when you started playing, I practically died. In fact, I am dead right now.”

“Sir? Dude I’m twenty-three. Call me Hayden– and I mean you’ve never seen me play. I don’t think I’ve ever even told you I play so of course its better than you expected.” 

Zander cheered. “That was pretty good, sir. I have to admit you’re better than I expected.”

It felt amazing to watch the crowd come alive. It was exactly how he hoped it’d be. “Thank you guy’s you’re all sick as frick.” he closed his number with that last word and jumped off to notice all eyes on him his name flying around. It made him a bit nervous, anxious and he tried his best to get away from the crowd and towards his brothers when he was stopped by Boston. Hayden looked at the guy in front of him and for a moment his breathing settled down a bit as he just focused on him. “Huh, oh yeah.” Hayden laughed softly a small blush appearing on his face. “Yeah I guess I did, what did you think?”

Boston wasn’t doing much, sitting at his table with his girl and his friends; not paying any attention to the stage until a familiar face jumped up on the stage with his ukulele. “No way.” he muttered to himself, falling silent as Hayden began to strum, followed by singing. He watched from the back of the room, amazed how the crowd seemed to be captivated by Hayden’s talents. As the set came to a end Boston found himself weaving through the crowd to find the male. “Hey– Look, you finally showed me your hidden talents.” he joked. “That was good.”

Uh thanks, I mean I don’t carry a ukulele around campus for nothing.” he pointed clutching his little uke tighter. “Oh maybe later? Sorry I gotta go.” he nervously stuttered walking away from the girl and towards his brother Ian. 

River had been taking pictures on her camera of the stage when she noticed Hayden gut up on the stage. She couldn’t help but watch in awe as he began to play his ukulele. Everyone around them began to dance; all paying attention to the man on stage singing. She continued to shoot pictures of Hayden as he continued to play. Once the male came off stage, she was quick to find it. “Hey– Hayden! Wait up!” she said catching up to hi as fast as she could in heels. “I had no clue you could sing, and play. You’re amazing.” she said smiling. “And I got a lot of pictures of you– Wanna see?”

Hayden was still eyeing the ice-cream menu when he spotted a spongebob & batman, “I can’t decide between these two bad-asses.” he pointed at the menu looking at his sister. “Which should I go with?”

Knox looked up at all the possible choices. “Um, just a regular ice cream cone please.” she said to the man in the truck before looking back to her brother. “What are you going to get Hayden?”

Hayden looked around and noticed that everyone seemed to not be enjoying the DJing as much as they probably could. He quietly pondered his next move and reached under the table where he hid his ukulele out of sight from everyone. Carefully searching for anyone who might stop him Hayden quickly rushed to the stage and jumped up asking the DJ to give him a few minutes. The DJ who needed a break was way to happy to give Hayden the floor rushing to the bathroom as Hayden set up the mic. “Uh– testing, 1, 2, 3, I’m sick as frick. Okay yeah its on– uh, I’m pretty sure I’m not suppose to be up here, but I think it was about time to have some actual live music up in this place, so enjoy my mashup x. Hayden began playing his ukulele that he plugged into the speaker the music sounding familiar as he began to sing the first mashup. He was terrified and it was the first time he sang in front of a large crowd that wasn’t his family, but here he was. He noticed everyone dancing more, moving and jumping it made him feel so alive, reminded him of the good times back in Hawaii. After his set was over the DJ was back and he thanked the man handing him a 100 dollar bill and jumped down the stage worried about anyone giving him bad critiques.

“Uh what? Girl you straight up trippin, you’re not getting this vodka back & yanno why? cause its gone.” Without a second to spare Hayden chugged down the vodka and smiled at the tiny brunette. “P.S, you gotta be nice to me if you got the hots for my bro.” he laughed and walked away. 

“Regular but this doesn’t numb my feelings so i’m keeping my vodka…”

Hayden pulled off his backpack and reached inside pulling out a can of red bull, “Sugar free or regular?” he questioned with a smile. 

“Um. No, How am I suppose to get through the night without Vodka?”

“Tell me something I don’t know sister.” Hayden playfully snaps his fingers. “I’m just joking, you look great too Alex.” 

“You..”

“… Look absolutely amazing.”

“As much as I’d love to say yes, I’m gonna have to confiscate that from you pretty lady.” 

“I may have brought some alcohol to put in my drink, you want some?”
