Nic: There are a lot of teas and fancy cups and little scones and it's all about the royalty vibe and shit unless you happen to be smuggling scones out in a napkin or blending the teas to make "potions"

Nic: Hayley, my place is trash, I am no longer interested in living in the trash apartment

Hayley: I want to do this! This sounds like so much fun! But you have to call me Duchess while we are doing this, I want to be royalty as well!

Hayley: Well... it'd be a lot nicer if you let me put some art in it.

Nic: Now that we're talking about it I really want some scones so high tea it is

Nic: You don't need anyone to pick my lock, the spare key's under the mat outside. But consider me spooked, I may have to look at the sculpture MULTIPLE DAYS before someone else leases the place

Hayley: I've never been to high tea lol do you get high?

Hayley: No! You will stay and you will live with the modern art in your home!

Brandon had lugged in a considerable piece of utter junk into the studio— though, it was something he knew Hayley could probably make use of ( hence him texting her a picture earlier on in the day ). It wasn��t anything remarkable, just a large slate of steel. “So, yeah, I found this in the back alley behind the shop— I dunno who was tossing it, but, yeah, here you go. Make something cool outta it.” 

“Every whiskey that you’re drinkin’ you’ll be thinkin’ how I burn like that. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nah it’s me in your dreams. Or maybe call ‘em nightmares. Yeah, I’ma, I’ma have the last laugh.” Hayley sang off key at the top of her lungs when the door opened and Brandon was struggling to bring in the giant slab of steel that he had texted her earlier. “Alexa! Volume down!” Hayley yelled at the speaker blasting the music and the studio was suddenly much more quiet. “You’re the best!” She left the pile of string and threads she was weaving on the large table and ran over to him, trying to help him as best as she could. “It’s amazing, much better than it looked in the photo.” The artist was leaning all over the steel to see the state it was in, and it was honestly in much better shape than she had been expecting.

“No see, my opinion on the matter is people that say money can’t buy happiness, have never had enough money to make them happy. Sure you can be ok poor but…money makes everything easier and those that say it doesn’t are lying.”

“Right, but you know how that saying got started originally?” Hayley asked, leaning back and giving him a look of annoyance but mixed with a smirk. “It started to actually be geared towards the rich, to say hey you can have all this money but money can’t buy you happiness. But then they started doing all these studies on it and they figured out that money can buy you happiness, well to a certain point. I forget how much it is, but like it’s enough to comfortably pay all your bills and still have extra over but not too much you are happier than those without enough money. But then it started being transformed to be used by the rich now towards the poor to be like you don’t need money to be happy. It’s just used to try and keep the poor in that status and to tell them to shut up and stop complaining and be happy with what little you have. It’s a messed up saying how much it’s gotten twisted around.”

Nic: Talk to me again when you've painted a single red line down the center of a blank canvas, that makes you FEEL something

Hayley: It's not something I want to do all the time, but it is fun pretending I'm rich and a princess sometimes lol no let's find something else to do!

Hayley: Keep it up and I'll build the most obnoxious modern art sculpture to put in your apartment. I know someone who will help me pick your lock. There's some of it I hate, but there are modern elements in my art too. So tread carefully boy.
