When Glen had told her to go spend time out of the house, and he'd watch the kids - she was slightly confused about what was going on - she thought that they'd be having a relaxing time as a family, after the craziness over the past couple of weeks, with her performing and working day in and out as the launch for GDY came up. She wanted to protest, but seeing the look on her boyfriends face, she knew to pick her battles. If he wanted to go full dad mode, she couldn't deny him that. Instead, she spent the day with her sisters, with Erica also having some time away from her kids - it was a strange experience for the both of them. When arriving home and not being greeted by the dogs, it was another moment of confusion for Hayley - usually Alf and Brisket would be jumping at her and begging for attention. Hearing her partner call out to check on their littlest - the singer figured he must of been busy with Luna, or the dogs. "Yeah, of course." She called back - wondering what Jasper was still doing asleep at this late hour, and hoped that he would be able to sleep through the night, worried that maybe he was coming down with a cold.
Entering their sons room and seeing him staring back at her, Hayley let out a small laugh. "You just chilling here, buddy?" Walking closer to the crib and seeing the note, Hayley pushed her brows together, still confused as to what was going on. "Should we go see what daddy wants?" The blonde scooped her son into her arms, tickling his tummy and grinning at the laugh he made - it was one of her favorite sounds, hearing her kids laughing. Walking into the kitchen, and seeing their dogs in bowties, another grin formed on Hayleys lips - she still didn't fully know what was going on, although she could tell that Glen had put a lot of effort into whatever he was planning. Moments like this was one of the many reasons that she had fallen in love with him - he always went the extra mile in their relationship. Kneeling down, readjusting Jasper on her hips, she gave attention to the two pups. "He's really sending me on a lil treasure hunt, huh?" Entering the living room and seeing Luna there, with a sign - it took Hayley a moment to realize what it said. She had made a joke a few weeks ago about making her a wife - it was more of an off-handed comment, something that she didn't expect to actually happen. The singer was content with how their life was at the moment, even if the idea of not only sharing her last name with her kids (because she would change it to that) but to be able to call Glen her husband, didn't actually frighten her anymore. They had built an amazing life together, and their relationship was one of trust, and friendship. Hayley also wondered what he had done to bribe Luna to actually sit sill - the almost one year old always seemed to be on the go, and seeing her in the dress - Hayley felt very underdressed for the moment, in one of band shirts and jeans. Maybe she should of listened to her sisters when they told her to get dressed up for the day, but she had wanted comfort, but of course they knew what was waiting for her when she got home.
Kneeling down, the blonde put Jasper next to Luna, and wide grin unable to be wiped off her face. "You asking me to marry your daddy?" She asked, looking at both of her kids. "You know, he actually has to ask me himself, too. But you're both very smart babies for planning this whole thing." The singer knew that Glen had planned all of this, but she could play along with the plan. Hearing him enter the room, Hayley spun around to face the man that she loved. "Hi." She breathed out, hyper aware of what was going on - and she was glad that this moment was just their little family, not something big and out in the open where people would be watching them - even if it was an easy yes for her. "The kids want us to get married." Hayley teased, a small laugh escaping her. She had so many questions to ask Glen - curious about how he managed to plan all of this without her knowing.
Glen was hoping that this night would go perfectly. He had planned it out in his head but making it become reality had been a bit harder than he imagined. He needed to get Hayley out of the house so that everything could stay a surprise. He had told her he'd look after the kids so she could have a relaxing day, doing some girl stuff or whatever. But once he had put Jasper and Luna down for a nap, he started decorating the house, trying his hand at making a nice vegan dinner and put on something a little more fancy that just his sweatpants. He did everything by the book, even asked for her grandat's permission. Her parents too, obviously, but he knows how much her grandat means to her so his opinion was one of the more important ones. He just couldn't imagine his life without her anymore and while she didn't have a good first experience, he hoped she would give this a chance.
As he managed to get everything ready, he looked at the clock and figured she would be home soon. Jasper was still asleep which wasn't so bad but he quickly put some rose petals in his room and hung a little note on his crib that read daddy needs you in the kitchen. Then when she would get to the kitchen, he had put Brisket and Alf to work too, put a little bow tie around their necks and stuck a post it near their lunch bowls that said now dad needs you in the living room. Once she gets in there, she will see Luna sitting on the sofa, in one of her nicest little dresses holding up a sigh that says mommy, daddy wants to know if you'd make him the happiest man alive and marry him? He thought that would be a bit original. Then he would obviously step into the living room, getting on one knee, show her the ring and ask for her answer.
When the door opened half an hour later, Glen just pretended as if everything was normal, shouting at Hayley from their bedroom. "Babe, can you go check on Jasper real quick? I've got a situation in here." That would hopefully make her follow the whole thing he had prepared. @hayleysones

Guess what? We're going to be in LA next week so you and the kids better be prepared for the Powell-Williams take over. Luna is going to be meeting her future boyfriend, I hope. Unless you're keeping that precious baby away from me. Then we're going to be having words.

"It would be a blessing if they got your sleeping habits. You can be out like a light." Crinkling her nose, Hayley wished that she could fall asleep as easily as her partner. "You think that I'm good at cooking? You must really love me. Gotta wife me up." The blonde teased - not being completely serious about the last comment, even if the idea of marriage didn't scare her anymore. Having both grown up with parents who supported their dreams from a young age, Hayley knew they would do the same for their kids, whatever they wanted in life - she'd be sure they provided that. "mhm, maybe she'll have a completely boring job like an insurance broker or something." A laugh escaped Hayley - considering that her family all had 'normal' jobs, she was the only one who went into the crazy business of fame. She let out a small laugh as Glen called their daughter 'little grumpy' - and shrugged her shoulders. "Unless you suddenly can feed Jasper then I wish you luck." Hayley knew they had back up supplies, so that Glen could do the nightly feeds, too - they were a team, but during the day, it was just easier for her. Watching Glen move out of their bedroom, she couldn't help but let her eyes travel along his back and down to his ass - she liked the view.
After a few minutes, she got Jasper ready before going to find the father and daughter duo. Letting the dogs lead her to where they were. "Hi, handsome." Hayley said with a grin. Looking down at their daughter and seeing what Glen had picked for her to wear for the day. "You're getting better at picking out clothes that go together." After all the time they had spent together now as a family, she was glad he wasn't picking out the most random things to put her in. Placing Jasper in his pushchair, Hayley quickly grabbed her coat before wrangling Alf into his harness for a walk - even though he was eleven, it was still no easy feat. "Ready to go when you are, my love."
"If they get the sleeping thing from me, I won't complain." Glen smirked, still trying to be careful not to wake Luna up as she could get a bit grumpy. "You just know me so well. Aw babe, you've always been good at cooking. I just feel bad you have to cook meat while you don't eat it yourself. You must really love me." Winking at her playfully, he smiled softly. His life had just turned out pretty perfect. Never in a million years would've he have dreamt something like this to happen. Of course he wanted to have a little family of his own before he turned forty but everything happened so fast and he didn't want it any other way, wouldn't change a single thing. "As much as I'd love that, I'll let her choose herself. Whatever she wants to do later when she's older, we'll support her." He didn't really care what kind of hobby or sport the kids would do, whatever made them happy. "Oh so I'm in charge of waking up little grumpy? Alright, but if she keeps glaring at me all day long, she will be your problem when we get back and I'll look after Jasper." Getting off the bed, he picked Luna up and carried her out as maybe waking her up in her own room might be a bit better.

"Copying their daddy. Wouldn't put it past them." Hayley knew that Luna loved to watch what Glen was doing and trying to copy whatever he did - even if she was barely walking. "I knew that it was the way to your heart, thank god that I've got better at cooking then." A grin played on the singers lips - she loved cooking for Glen, and Luna, even if it wasn't things she would eat herself. The petite blonde let out a small laugh as her partner talked about their daughter dreaming of football - as much as Hayley enjoyed the sport, she wasn't as big of a fan as Glen, but she would watch and go to games with him, and dress the two kids up in all the gear needed. "You going to put her in a football team as soon as she's ready, I bet" As Jasper started to fuss once more in her arms, Hayley knew that it was time to feed him - adjusting herself so she could easily let her son feed. "I think the dogs would love getting out and stretching their legs. Can you get yourself and Luna ready? I'm kind of occupied." She let out a small laugh, looking down at Jasper before she leant over and gave Glen a quick kiss. "Have fun waking up the grumpy pants." Hayley wasn't the best when she woke up - and knew that her daughter was much the same.
"I'm still surprised at that too. Maybe I'm kind of like the baby whisperer. Or you know, I fell asleep and they just copied me." Chuckling softly, he was just glad that they were both still in his arms and hadn't crawled away and fell out of the bed. That would've been a bigger tragedy. "Ah yes, all us men need is food." WInking at her playfully, things had been a little rough the first few days but he knew that was going to happen. It probably will be like that for the first year but he was willing to put in all the effort. He had been thinking of maybe pausing his projects for a few months so that Hayley didn't have to do it by herself. He couldn't just leave her at home with two little kids, doing it all on her own. That was a conversation he needed to have with her soon. "Could be. Or she might just be dreaming about football because she seems to be kicking a little bit." He was only teasing her. "Right yes, can't have two kids keep us up at night. Should we go do something today? LIke take them for a walk in the park?"

I'm going to have to see your kids at some stage - I miss my niece and nephews. Luna doesn't really seem to care too much about having a brother. I think she's still a little too young to figure out what's going on. Not everyone is Unc to her - just you, Taylor and Zac. But Glens brother is laws are slowly becoming Unc, too. So all the important men in her life, I guess. Wait - what? Another son? How do you feel about that?
What about next week? I have the kids this weekend, so I can catch a flight on Monday? It's definitely not for the weak, but how does Luna feel about him? Is she bothered by him? Really? Now I have to head down to Nashville to see her, I can't have her missing me for too long. I've been called worse, so I will take unc, or is this one of those instances where everyone is unc to her? Fine I'll tell you now, but only because I just need someone to talk to about it, nobody else knows. But, I recently found out I have a son, a two month old who is the result of a hook up.

It's something that I've been wanting to do for a long time but I'm not sure if it's something that's going to happen - lots of things to plan and between my two babies and partners work... could prove to be tricky. But watch this space.
I've been hearing that you might be touring this year. But like solo or did i just hear that completely wrong? Not that I'm complaining since I do enjoy your music but am used to it with the band. @hayleysones

Glen should be back from looking like a complete snack at the Globes anytime now - so we're basically free whenever you can get here. Having a newborn and an almost toddler is an interesting time. Luna would love to see her uncle Chris again, though - sometimes I'm scrolling my phone and a photo of you pops up - she yells 'Unc.' Very good vocab if I do say so myself. What news do you have? You've got me all curious now.
When are you and Glen free so I can come down to Nashville to meet the little man? Whenever is best for you. Having a newborn is stressful enough, without everyone showing up all day every day. I also have some pretty big and shocking news that I need to tell you. Preferably in person. // @hayleysones

Looking down at Glen as he spoke, Hayley gave her partner a soft smile. She knew that the first few days of having a baby around was difficult to adjust - and she couldn't blame him for falling asleep. She knew taking a nap when needed was necessary. "It's okay, babe. You're allowed to sleep. I don't blame you for it, and hey, you had both kids asleep. An accomplishment." Watching their daughter as the actor shifted, Hayley hoped that she wouldn't wake up just yet, knowing that their oldest still needed a nap. Kissing Glen back easily, her hand came up to rest on his face, moving her thumb along his cheek slowly. "I think it's cause he's just like his daddy, keep him feed and he'll be a happy man." The blonde teased - despite them both being overly tired a few days in, Hayley knew that keeping the dynamic of their relationship was important, and the whole breastfeeding thing was coming easier to her this time around. There was still learning curves, but it wasn't as big as what she had to do earlier in the year. Watching Luna move about as she slept, the blonde let out a small laugh. "Wonder what she's dreaming about. Think she's dreaming about princesses and unicorns?" Having been reading books like that to Luna for the past few months, even if she didn't understand them completely, it was something Hayley enjoyed doing before bedtime, a small bonding experience between the two of them. "We'll have to wake her soon if we want her to sleep through the night." Crinkling her nose, she was glad at least one member of the family was still getting all the rest.
Life had been particularly busy recently for Glen. With the birth of his and Hayley's son, they hadn't really gotten a moment of peace and quiet yet. They had spent New Year's inside, just with their little family as he wasn't ready to just hand his son over to anyone yet. He had taken some time off of filming, which the director luckily understood, so that he could be with the three people he loved the most. And their dogs obviously. As Hayley went to take a shower, Glen had been looking after the two kids but had fallen asleep in the process. Luckily the two kids followed his lead. As he felt a hand go through his hair and Jasper letting out a small cry, he slowly opened his eyes. A smile played on his lips as he saw Hayley sitting next to him. "Sorry, the last couple of days have been pretty tiring." Making sure he wasn't going to wake up Luna, he tried to sit up straight, leaning into his girlfriend and giving her a kiss. "He's been pretty good today. Not too much crying."

Who: Hayley and Glen (and the kids) Where: Hayley and Glens house, Nashville Tagged: @glenpowellsc
Adjusting to life with two kids, Hayley knew that it was going to be a challenge, and the singer was thankful for their community around them. With their parents helping out for the first few days while they settled in she was thankful for. Now that they had a couple days on their own, Hayley loved their little paradise that they had created for their family. Walking into their bedroom after her shower, a grin played on Hayleys' lips as she saw her partner and kids having a nap. With a newborn, she knew that she had to take the chance to do little things where they could. Grabbing her phone quickly, she took a photo and set it as her background before crawling onto their bed. Scooping Jasper up in her arms, she settled the little ones head into the crook of her elbow. With her freehand, she ran it through Glens hair. She didn't want to wake the actor, but she was unable to help herself with doing the small gesture. As their son moved in her arms, letting out a small cry, she ran her finger down his cheek. "Hey, little one. You're going to wake your daddy and sister if you keep that up."

Sorry for not calling you - when I realized what was happening, Glen ran me out the door to get to the hospital. Or more like I waddled out the door. It was his hand I was breaking instead of yours - whoever said the second baby would be easier lied. Uh well, they can meet Jasper when he's a little bit older. Can't wait to see you. I was about to say that you'll have to excuse how I look but then I remembered you've seen me giving birth, so you've seen me a whole lot worse. You can catch me up on all that's been happening in your life, too.
Wait what?! Why was my immediate reaction frustration, that you didn't tell me the second you went into labour. But then I remembered that you didn't need me this time. It will be without the kids, I had them in Australia with me over Christmas, so Elsa has them now. But Hayley! Shit! Congratulations! I can't believe it. I'm legit booking the next flight to Nashville right now!

Unless the jolly guy scares her - which wouldn't surprise me. Babies don't seem to like Santa. Matching outfits, huh? Maybe we can do that when we get photos with the dogs. And we can have them wear bandanas made from the same material as our clothes. Go all out for our first family Christmas. Can't wait for our son to question why he wasn't in the photo. I still don't think that Alf has forgiven me for leaving him for so long while on tour. This trip is the last time people would have seen her for the year - potentially until her birthday so can't blame 'em really. You can blame the hormones for that one, babe. But we can be romantic too. How're you gonna romance me, huh?
Santas Grotto sounds nice. I'm sure Luna will love it too. Do we need to wear matching outfits? Because I"m game if you are. Hmm, we will have to recreate it back home with the dogs because if they see the picture and realize they weren't part of it, they might not like us that much anymore. Brisket can hold grudges. Oh please, it's like music to my ears. That's true. She's just that adorable and likeable. People will be standing in line to hang out with her. A lot of naked me? And here I was trying to be romantic while you only have one thing on your mind.

I don't think he will - he told you that we were having a baby first. if he does - then I'll let him tell Taylor. Balance. Some people don't even find out until the baby is born but that couldn't be me. I needed to know - planning everything is my vibe. And it means that I know what I can reuse from when Luna was a little... well, littler baby. Now you've got me nervous about what you're going to be buying. Is it going to be as bad as when you showed up with all that stuff for Luna? Please - have you seen this kids dad? Of course he's going to be tough. Do you want me to set you up wit someone? I can play wing woman.
I just hope he doesn't get moody because you told me first. Don't tell him I know, because I want to see if he tells me and I can act surprised. Some people don't tell anyone the gender until the baby is born. I agree with you though, just tell people, it makes no sense to keep it a secret like people knowing might cause something bad to happen. At least I can buy the appropriate stuff, don't blame me if I go a little overboard. Do you really think that will stop them? I imagine they would just let him attack them, make him think he's tough. I have no updates, my love life has gone back to being non-existent. I'm a boring guy right now.

I've known that it's like this when they start moving because of my nieces and nephews but experiencing this firsthand, all the time is something else. Going to have to get an apple tag on her or something soon. Luna isn't deaf and her giggles still turn into that. I'm pretty sure that's just a baby thing. They'll learn volume control, eventually. Hopefully. Sometimes the family that you build isn't always biological - I'm sure that the girls love you and the fact that you've stepped up. I'm very big on the whole chosen family thing cause my family is the most blended thing around. Giving a child stability is what's important. Around Christmas time, so not too far away now. This is our last little vacation before life gets crazy again.
Nothing moves quicker than a crawling baby, you're not wrong there. All you have to do is blink and they're gone. In my old age, I'm pretty sure she moves quicker than I do. I have to warn you that Willow's baby giggles can be a little loud and sometimes turns into just screaming. But, if her defence, she's deaf and so she has no idea that she's breaking the sound barrier. It definitely comes with it's challenges, but I wouldn't ever change it. I was destined to be a girl dad, whether I wanted to be or not. It doesn't help that their real father is a little useless, so I've definitely had to step up. Which I'm not complaining about, they're great kids. It just kind of proves that blood is thicker than water doesn't always apply. She's at that stage where everything is fascinating to her. When is your next baby due to arrive?
