Okay so I legitimately love Sylphrena trying to take part in society and be taken seriously as a person. She IS important and worthy of respect, there'd be no Radiant Kaladin Stormblessed without her, and she is also putting her life on the line for Roshar. I love seeing her learning how to write even though she can barely lift a pen. I love seeing her speaking up and joining conversations while Dalinar is so used to acting like she's not there. Syl isn't Kaladin's pet or imaginary friend, she's a person and a soldier in her own right.

Very happy to answer that question! I like to think that image descriptions are for everyone.

Their primary purpose is to help people who are blind or visually impaired to enjoy fanart and know what they're reblogging and what to share with friends. I got into writing image descriptions because of a cosmere-loving friend who is blind!

IDs also help in other ways:

For people who can't read facial expressions, to know what emotion if any is being expressed

For people who aren't sure which character it is

To make searching for art easier

Image descriptions also help the describer:

Artists can practice describing their art in a neutral way (since many artists have a bad habit of being overly critical of their art).

Art enjoyers can really appreciate the details of the art as they describe it.

Writers can practice writing vivid descriptions.

Everyone creates a cosmere fandom that's more accessible!

Dalinar Cognitive Shadow = he dies physically but his consciousness sticks around; vessel counts, fused counts, some weird spren thing we havent seen before could count

Kaladin retires = neither dies nor becomes a vessel. It would be a bold narrative choice to kill him off after row so this is basically a free space. Still gonna white knuckle the whole book though.

I'm so certain of unite dawnshard I don't know what I'm going to do with myself when that doesn't pan out lol
