I’ve finally caved.

My doctor has been bothering me to start a journal, something about getting used to putting my words together, as if I do not already write on a regular basis for my professors. My doctor seems convinced I don’t want to write a journal because diaries are for women or some other such nonsense. Really, I don’t know how or why I would write a journal. I’m stuck on it. That excuse isn’t as exciting for his psychoanalysis, so obviously he doesn’t believe me.

She told me to write a personal blog instead. It worked anyway but not because of my masculinity. I don’t see the point in journals. If no one else could ever possibly see it, why put in the effort to make such a document comprehensible at all?

I know Tumblr is dead but, theoretically someone else could stumble on this blog and read it. I guess that’s enough for my brain to make it happen. I’d ask for a new doctor if I could manage to push the words out of my mouth at the counter. I’m gonna be stuck with this guy for a while. 4/12/2025
