Bots -or any blog that resembles one- will be reported and blockedThis has mostly turned into a CR blog-thing... I tag Thursday show until around Tuesday. Also Wheel of Time. So I tag book spoilers (twot book spoilers wot book spoilers) and show spoilers (wot spoilers and wot show spoilers) and (wheel of time spoilers). I tag show spoilers until Tuesday night after a new episode. Hello peoples of Tumblr! This is my blog, which I make no promise to keep up with. I'm a bisexual Autistic. Also have ADD. I like cephalopods, especially cuttlefish, and plants, and reading, and many other geeky things. More random tidbit: feminist, somewhere in the left politically, and tired of the political landscape but still trying to care. More things- gluten free, and crochet, knitting, and others. Beware of my many random posts as well. That is all for now! Oh BTW I am bad at tagging things, (except this I specifically mentioned) trying to get better, but its a work in progress.

Get yourself a fabric store that will light your fabric on fire for you
No but legit I asked what the fiber content of something was and the guy didn’t know so he cut a chunk off and lit it on fire and felt the ashes and was like. Yeah this is mostly cotton with a lil bit of silk. And that was the moment I knew. This is it. This is the fabric store for me. Also that guy is marriage material. Not for me but damn some person is gonna be so happy with him.

30 years ago the future looked like this Mitsubishi Gaus Concept, 1995. Presented at the 31 Tokyo Motor Show, the "Global Adventure Utility System" was a cross between an SUV and a minivan with giant gullwing doors. Inside the front seats swivelled to face the rear

I love Teal'c putting on the sunglasses and spraying Daniel with the water gun at the end of the episode. He's so silly :)

hey in case you didn't know trans inclusive terminology in healthcare is not about protecting peoples feelings, it's to stop insurance companies from going "well it says here that hysterectomies are a procedure performed on WOMEN and you keep insisting that you're a MAN so we do not in fact have to cover that have a nice day and eat shit"

one of the things i love about leverage is that no matter how long the team goes without seeing each other they fall back together so easily

really helpful technique ^ once you know how to divide by halves and thirds it makes drawing evenly spaced things in perspective waaay easier:

I hate how religiously Christian that special was
Like I get it, Christmas Specials because Doctor Who is from a culturally Christian culture (probably could word that better). But Joy to the World bright star specifically over Bethlehem in the year 0001? Ew. Just ew. I don't care if it's unpopular to say it.
Other than that there were very good parts. All the love to Anita & Trev

In retrospect I don’t think jack and martha needed to know all that. 12 didn’t give anyone that rundown. That’s a lot of exposition

The first Black male Doctor and the first female Doctor: both plagued by terrible writing, inconsistent characterisation (or barely any at all), shortened runs, and they regenerated into actors from a more popular era of the show (David Tennant and Billie Piper).
They deserved better.

The weirdest thing about Reality War for me was I did not get any subtext that Anita was romantically interested in the Doctor so when her face did that when the Doctor and Rogue were dancing I just assumed she was homophobic

I know I’m late to this party but I gotta say I’ve finally finished the latest season of Doctor who and my thoughts are-
How have I not heard about this? How are people not screaming about it? So… the first black doctor and most explicitly queer one got roughly 17.5 episodes. His one gay love interest got sent to hell after one episode and is never rescued? Meanwhile for some horrifying reason he… has a magic wish baby with his companion, whose life now revolves around this child that is, somehow not his? I don’t have the bandwidth to unpack that but I don’t love it. I’d have liked at least one more season with Gatwa. Instead. We get this. I can’t even be excited for Billy Piper tbh. I hope it goes well for her but… feels sour and wrong.
I mean really. At the very least they could have rescued Rogue. And also. I fucking liked the ending of Poppy disappearing, and how bittersweet it was. I’d have been okay for a jump to “all is not what it seems” with that. For a second, after the Doctor winked I thought “does he actually remember? Did he know it was a long shot and sacrificed her, and now doesn’t want to hurt Belinda anymore by bringing it up and also is going to try to live in the denial to cope?” I know it has to be kid friendly, but I think it could have still done that and set up much more interesting potential. Instead. We got this.
