i was reading this banter and noticed a few differences in japanese... the line where hikari says "...i see" was written more like "i-i see..." which implies hikari was slightly bewildered by throne's comment that she would attack him

Hikari: If you left your back to me, I would definitely protect it. Throne: ...Well, whatever. If it's you, it might be alright to.

the other difference is in the last two lines... hikari's only differs in the exact wording here but i like the explicit mention of "protecting" from him. throne's though... i wish the english was able to retain some of the detail that throne wouldn't just fold like this to anyone given how distrusting she's had to be her entire life, but she can see that hikari is someone who would never betray that trust. this banter comes extremely early on (throne's chapter 2) so i think the difference is important?

Hi! I actually wanted to share my most obscure piece of Octopath Traveler merch. I found these at a garage sale and from the cursory bit of research I did, they were distributed as promotional material for Octopath 1? Either way they're super cool. I didn't lose the Therion card btw, he's just on display in a magnetic card case.

Hey btw, 99.99999999% of asexual are both NOT TO BLAME and DO NOT WANT the current censorship bans in place/to be placed on countries such as Australia, the UK and US America.

Just because some of us are sex repulsed, or don’t want to have sex personally, does not mean we support censorship.

Also sex repulsed ≠ sex negative. One is “I don’t want sex for me and it’s gross to me” (repulsed) the other is “I don’t want anyone to have sex and sex is gross to everyone” (negative)

Concept where the P3MC can "hear" the melodies of people's souls and/or personalities.

Perhaps this isn't in character for the character but for example like Yukari's is maybe a harp or lyre.

And Persona-users have a secondary melody due to their personas, so Io maybe adds a flute or something (and maybe a third instrument when the persona ascends!).

While the melodies aren't "real" sounds, one of the reasons the P3MC is often listening to music or wearing headphones is because it drowns out the sound of other peoples' souls.

And maybe they don't have their own melody. Maybe they run into someone else who doesn't have one. Idk, this is as far as the thought goes but I thought it was interesting enough to share.

But also the thought that as more people come together in the dorms it makes a beautiful and complex song... ough

FYI if your favorite creators start having AI dubbing on their videos - it is now on by default and not everyone bothers to read these emails. So be kind when you let them know it's enabled.

Also FYI you don't have to have any published videos to turn off the auto-dubbing, and when you turn it off, it comes up with a little survey asking you why you don't want to use the auto-dubbing.

Personally, I told them it was because AI translation is a half-baked technology that has actually set the industry back by several years, but I'm sure you can think of your own reasons too.

when i first moved in with my roommate, she was constantly throwing up and attributed it to some unexplainable chronic issue. after a year with me here, she's learned a lot about proper food preparation and storage, as well as having me sort of on top of managing groceries, and she almost never gets sick like that anymore.

anyway i think that woman might be one of a kind but just in case she's not: if you find yourself having frequent tummy troubles with no clear explanation... maybe just. try refreshing your food safety knowledge. (also don't forget to wash your water bottle). like, chances are you've been doing everything right and there's some other reason. but there's a nonzero chance that something you assumed was common sense is actually incorrect and you've been repeatedly making yourself sick.

people think kitchen management is totally easy and intuitive (prolly something to do with it being degraded as "women's work" but i digress) but there's science to food safety. and the people who raised you may have failed to teach you properly, whether through negligence or through not knowing everything themselves. it can't hurt to double check your knowledge here, just in case.

We have this interesting situation where we basically no longer have privacy nor the expectation of privacy, but we also don't have community or meaningful connection with others, so we're all simultaneously both completely exposed and absolutely alone, and please understand that when I say this situation is "interesting", what I in fact mean is that it's "nightmarish and I wish I could wake up"
