I’m making this post in case there’s anyone here to read this message: I’ll be deleting this blog. I don’t use it or want to anymore since I cut Esther (was @/lehit) out of my life; in the last couple of years I only came on this app to interact with her. And just if anybody were truly curious since I did get that one anonymous ask, I thought she agreed with my stance up until what happened here in October. With what happened here I am referring to the blog she created that at first she told me was just a regular side blog, and later on she went on zionist speech after speech, while also harrassing her own friends on and off anon. I’m being lengthy here but I was very busy academically so I was away mostly. It was all news to me, and since it was a shock it also took me some time to understand my feelings.
I was also so frustrated to be in such a situation when an actual genocide is taking place.
I believe it is important to be clear with your stance always, specially this case where genocide and human rights are the center of the discussion so I want to make it very clear that her zionism came as a surprise to me and I reject zionism entirely; I had been clear on my support of Palestine throughout the years of friendship and she had never commented anything opposing me, which I understood as silent agreement. I assume she had a change of heart during October and decided to be honest with herself, which is better for everybody who knew her. I felt betrayed but it’s a friendship that’s in the past now.
If the anonymous person who sent me a message is curious I am open to conversation, I hope I can clear up any misunderstanding.
And on the very slight chance that Esther gets to read this, I ask of you to please respect me and to not reach out. I believe we have nothing left to say to each other.
edit: I will leave this post up and therefore my account undeleted. I will be leaving but I think transparency is important, hence me not deleting.
From this I have learned that I had been too afraid to question our friendship through the years and I was too comfortable, that is something that will weigh on me.
Thanks to everyone who made my time on this site enjoyable and I wish you the very best always.

award-winning palestinian children's illustrator baraa awoor writes:
Tumblr media
"what use is it to be an illustrator of children's books when the world has sentenced the children of your country to the death penalty, to vanish, to genocide?"
some of baraa's illustrations:

this is an illustration for youssef, whose mother is remembered running desperately into the hospital asking if anyone had seen a "small white boy with beautiful curly hair, his name is youssef," a description which was remembered by millions when she finally identified his body:

this illustration is for young omar, who was hugging his little brother and teaching him how to repeat the shahada after him (a prayer spoken by muslims before their death) as he lay on his hospital bed:
Tumblr media
"we want a new year that doesn't kill us or our children, we want it a year without blood, without screaming, without pain, we want a new attempt to get our lives back, or something that resembled our life, even if life is a lie we still cling to it, return life to us—a new year's card unlike any other year:"

are u ever just in awe of how much atrocity israel is getting away with but it's pro-palestine activists who are getting fired, suppressed and arrested worldwide? like i really can't get over it lol. i think i've taken some damage in this that has permanently scarred my soul. sometimes i look at the anons i get and i just realize some of you will never understand how the world has neatly fractured in two and that we are simply not in the same world anymore

Paying close attention to the sequence of news coming out of Gaza, you can see how Israel has a method of placing people on a death plan long before the final strike hits their family home and kills everyone.
It all starts when Israel throws leaflets from the sky, the best way to describe them is death threats, ordering families to move to another area for safety.
A lot of families do move their elderly and children hoping for safety but when they arrive, israel begins bombarding the outskirts of these areas, making way for its forces and snipers to get in and place themselves around UN school and civilian homes, preventing anyone from moving and placing the area under siege.
Then, Israel would target the solar panels and water tanks on top of those houses, making life impossible for the residents there. Israel would also tamper and destroy any means of communication, completely shutting off those people from the rest of the world.
For the last act of pure evil, Israel will finish off its plan by dropping bombs on those homes, killing everyone and obliterating entire families.
Methodical massacres and genocide is what we will always remember israel for. Its terror and evil colonial agenda will not be lost on us and generations to come. And until Israel is held accountable for its crimes, we will continue to fight against their wish to eradicate us.

Bisan's recent post. I think it's important for you to read it. Tonight 03.12.23, journalists in gaza share their last messages. There are no words to describe the horrors unfolding in gaza right now.
Tumblr media
I no longer have any hope of survival like I had at the beginning of this genocide, and I am certain that I will die in the next few weeks or maybe days. I have been sick with severe viral infection for days and cannot move from the mattress!
I suffer from nightmares that are so closely resemble reality that I no longer differentiate between reality and dream.
I live in a world other than the one I claimed to be building! I am a community activist who lived on the fantasy that the world was free and just, and I sought to bring rights not only to my people, but to many men and women in third world countries!
I was shocked that I was not from the third world! Indeed, we are the most humane and moral! Yes, because the world approves, supports, and finances the genocide we are being subjected to, legislates it, and gives reasons for for 58 days! While we are a people who have been living on occupied land for 75 years and are still searching for our rights and communicating our voice to the world!
My message to the world: You are not innocent of what is happening to us, you as governments or peoples that support Israel’s annihilation of my people. We will not forgive you, we will not forgive you, humanity will not forgive you, we will not forget, even if we die, the history will never forget .
A Message to friends: Thank you and the supporters around the world. You have been compassionate and very strong. We ask you not to lose hope, even if the world seems completely unfair and your efforts have not yet resulted in a ceasefire.
