there is much we cannot control or prevent in this world - illness, others not liking us, jobs we don't get, loss of loved ones, taxes... the list goes on. what we can control is how we respond to these experiences. first will come the emotions. let them come, feel them, and let them go when they've been wrung out. the next step? to take some deep breaths and start moving on with life. what's done is done. what was lost is lost. but you are still here, so take comfort in that and take another step forward.

to me, purity here has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with being an individual. are your thoughts your own, or do you find yourself thinking only what you've heard from others? do you take time to listen to your own thoughts or are you always seeking input from others? do you have health routines that are intuitive or do you simply follow routines set by other people?

take time to detach, unplug, go off grid, whatever you want to call it. it can be as simple as a 10 minute walk without headphones or as complex as a weekend or more camping. take time to listen to yourself, to find out who you are and what you want. take time to find where you begin and end. make spaces, even if just in your own head, that are for you alone.
