A jewel case style cover of a fictional game, Hazelwood's first installment. Central text in a victorian print press font reads "Hazelwood: The Brimstone Big Top. Hazelwood Project First Installment." Text at the bottom reads "This card game does not exist. Ringo Hazel."
the image features a circus-like sunburst from the center of a silhouette of a character. the Background also features layers of a leaf pattern, a big top silhouette, and a subtle cloudlike pattern.
Japanese text on the side (of likely incorrect grammar) reads something like "Hazel forest," with three characters to the side that are stylized. One for ghost/demon stylized to look like a circus tent, a kanji that can act either as sheep/goat, 1 to 3 am (the witching hour,) or the particle "before." the third kanji means "curse" or "ill intention." Together, they don't make grammatical sense, but I think that's part of the charm.

A drawn image of a circus scene in a forest, surrounded by a floral border.
Text reads,
A new attraction came to Hazelwood recently: the Brimstone Big Top. Their main act is said to rival the chaos of Hell itself. Excited children dragged their parents along, and even some couples came to share the festivities. The food was great, and the shows were mesmerizing. People soon came from all over.
Jack barnes, Ambergrove's local innkeeper, was quite happy with the patronage. His normal clientelle of forest travelers are usually few and far between. He know, though, that it was too good to be true. People began to go missing . Tension rose between species.
As he feared, Some of jack's patrons could not be found. Being one-fourth vampire in this situation was not a good look. Concern for their safety was one thing, but someone had to pay their tabs, too. He set off to investigate.

// IMAGE ID 1 OUT OF 2
A stylized cover for a series heavily inspired by Touhou Project, as well as other media and video games.
A light beige or cream-colored background features a decorative, ornate arch or frame, reminiscent of works like Cartoon Network's Over the Garden Wall.
Within this frame, the words "Hazelwood "Project" are positioned prominently, in a slightly stylized, Victorian printing press font, and in a dark reddish-brown color.
A multitude of orange-red and brown autumn leaves are scattered throughout the image, creating a sense of movement and fall. Thin, dark-brown or black tree branches extend across the background, also contributing to the autumnal theme. The leaves and branches appear to be in motion, implying wind.

A similarly styled image, mainly filled with expositional text, as follows.
Hazelwood. a liminal paradise. Those spaces between the trees that contain both the known unknown, the lost and the found, hold limitless potential. Those that follow the call of the void may find themselves completely swallowed whole. In this way, Hazelwood's border is separated from our own world, and has been for over a hundred years. Time stands still. Reliance on unknown forces means that people no longer have to pursue innovation. That kind of human activity is left to those beyond the trees. Hazelwood is populated mostly by beings of non-human nature. Creatures of the old stories fell through the cracks and created this place. Humans exist, but most are descendants of those who were heroic enough to fall into phantasm. The peace is kept between the strong and weak by the use of compulsory human form illusions and games of cards. In this way, the strong do not overpower or intimidate the weak. Those who are smart shall conquer and lead a better world. Everyone has their role to play, for better or for worse.
