I never thought I would love a partner for the Doctor as much as I love River Song.

I was wrong.

Let's talk about that big teddy bear just sitting in the middle of Rogue's ship with zero context or explanation

now i’m not saying rogue is definitely autistic-coded as a character

but what i am saying is that he is more comfortable in one-on-one conversation than in big groups, see him talking to the doctor in private vs. using the doctor as a vector for conversation instead of talking to ruby or any partygoers

and he has a relatively flat affect unless feeling very strong emotions, see, well, the whole episode. but especially the tardis reveal

and he can really hyper focus on something and be highly competent at it, but also get to the point at which he misses the bigger picture or resorts to black and white thinking to explain situations to his detriment, see his entire first meeting with the doctor lol.

anyway. he’s a bit autistic coded. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Honestly rest in pieces Yaz and Jack for losing the Doctor fucker Olympics as badly as they did.

Yaz would have gone so far with Joanna Lumley's 13th Doctor. They would have got married even. Jack would have killed it if 15 was the first Doctor he met. They would have been so down bad. Alas they both travelled with Repression Doctors

This post isn’t really about Rogue, but seeing a lot of people comparing the romance in Rogue to that between Ten/Reinette, and it made me realize how little that romance actually plays into my enjoyment of Girl in the Fireplace, and how that might be an uncommon opinion??

Like I thought we all liked that episode because of the interesting, cleverly written plot with the ship and the windows through time, and the clockwork men being effective intriguing villains and the fun jokes and the tragic ending.

To me the Doctor and Pompadour’s actual “relationship” was fairly incedental, kinda low on my list of reasons to be invested in the proceedings.

Was that just me this whole time?

Gotta tell ya, I feel a real sense of closure finally knowing where the Doctor went after he broke that fairy circle.

Let's talk about how different Fourteen's hugs with Donna are from Ten's. Fourteen is almost always initiating the hug, and he wraps himself around Donna and holds her tight, which is different from Ten's tentative and reserved hugs. Fourteen pours all of himself into a hug, and all of his affection and love are reflected in those hugs he gives to Donna, just like both of his hearts that he is giving so sincerely as well.
