The way that Carrie’s smiles are genuine with these girls isn’t too easy to brush over. Mary was one of her absolute best friends in this life, and it showed. The leader rests her head ever so gently on Mariana’s shoulder now as they sit together on the plush couch. “You know what, I think that sounds perfect.” Her eyes themselves seem softer as she glimpses at the other girl. Without the wigs and all that makeup, there’s something warm here, deeper than what their crowds of fans might think. “I think we have some candy canes somewhere, if you want to get even more festive?” She offers, voice oh so much gentler than it is with Flynn and Julie at school, though admittedly she has her reasons…

Mary blamed her genes. She barely remembered her time in São Paulo, but every winter she proclaimed that she ‘wasn’t built for the cold weather’, even if it wasn’t that cold in California. There were parts of the winter season that Mary liked, though. Staying in, watching movies wrapped around her friend was one of those.  —  ❛ I was hoping you would, because I’m useless for everything but this today ❜  —  Mariana claimed, wrapping herself around Carrie and laughing softly. Unlike other people at school might thing, Carrie was more than her leader. She was her best friend and Mary truly enjoyed those soft moments with the girl.  —  ❛ You are a genius, you know? ok the whole thing where winona ryder was talking about how she “married” keanu reeves for a movie and then was like “fuck wait was that legally binding” lowkey makes me wanna do a plot with two actors (BOTH 35+ PLZ) who did a movie years and years and years ago where their characters got married and signed their marriage certificate onscreen and the director, ever the stickler for realism, had a real priest do the ceremony and used a real certificate, and as a joke the actors signed their real names because “hahahahahahahahaha there’s no way this is legally binding, we’re just bros” except fast forward a couple decades and GUESS WHAT

(bonus points: the entire media assumes they’re dating and this is. NOT. HELPING.)
