  A gloved hand clasped the back of his neck as he walked out of the arranged meeting area, grimacing. That had almost taken a very nasty turn, but luckily the leader seemed to value the potential gain out of the deal over his pride and had stopped his men. Chuuya wasn’t worried; he could slaughter them all within a second if the need arose. An unfortunate potential lost, but it would not have hurt the Port Mafia.

  He came to a halt by the river, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it to take a draw before blowing out the smoke. He was stressed. With the reemergence of Double Black, business trips, everything seemed to be going at about a million miles per hour. A break might be nice. He’d like that, except there was too much to do, he wouldn’t take one unless ordered to.

  “Something caught your eye?” The redhead executive spoke up, slowly turning around to where he’d felt the pair of eyes from, head tilted. He didn’t recognize the face, that’s for sure. He took another drag of the cigarette, exhaling calmly once again as he waited.

it’s  boring  to  be  inside  .  you  have  read  all  of  your  books  ,  after  all  ,  and  though  you  spend  most  of  your  time  in  your  doll  room  you  still  do  have  a  need  for  fresh  air  .  so  ,  you’ve  once  more  evaded  your  surveillance  and  snuck  your  way  out  .  running  into  the  port  mafia  executive  had  only  been  a  coincidence  ,  though  you  don’t  know  whether  or  not  it’s  a  good  one  just  yet  .

❛     if  it  hadn’t  ,  would  i  be  staring  ?     ❜  a  brow  raised  slightly  ,  you  raise  your  pipe  to  your  lips  and  take  a  puff  off  it  ,  as  though  purposely  mirroring  his  actions  .  you  blow  smoke  out  of  your  mouth  ,  more  purposeful  than  his  casual  exhale  .  ❛     such  an  encounter  was  unexpected  ,  that’s  all  .     ❜

there’s  more  you  have  to  say  ,  but  you  keep  it  quiet  for  now  ,  lying  more  in  wait  of  his  response  to  your  all  too  relaxed  answer  .  he  doesn’t  seem  to  be  all  too  bothered  by  you  ,  but  most  people  aren’t  at  the  beginning  .
