Her voice grows louder as she gets angrier, but there's clear hurt in her tone as well as she shakes her head and takes a step back. "Are you the only one who remembers that ending, or has the rest of the team been keeping it from me as well?" Keyleth asks, putting her hands up. "You should have told me, Vax, yes, I would have been distraught, but I'd much rather have wanted you to tell me than get that memory again without any fucking warning, and have to feel that pain all over again."

vax loved working across from keyleth. he loved when he could walk over to her and just chat, or vice versa. so his face lit up when he saw her, only for his expression to falter at her expression. he almost asked what was wrong, but her question stopped him. she remembered.

“keyleth, i just wanted us to be happy. we hadn’t had a happy ending in our life…i wanted us to have one here.” vax was genuinely sorry. he had so many chances, but he never had the courage to say it aloud. maybe he thought he could will the past away if he just simply tried to forget it. “i tried telling you serval times, but i couldn’t bring myself too. i’m sorry, i was selfish in our happiness.”

Keyleth clasps her hands together and laughs softly. "What? Oh, yeah, no, I'm not telling another soul about this." She mimics zipping her lips and throwing away the key before grinning. "Can we go see him? I really miss him too."

             vex  smiled  at  keyleths  excitement  ,  it  was  nice  having  the  druid  around  again.  keyleth  had  become  one  of  her  closest  and  dearest  friends  so  it  was  nice  to  know  she  was  around.  ‘  he  sits  at  the  door  in  the  back  of  the  kitchen  but  dont  tell  anyone.  ‘  vex  said  with  amusement  in  her  tone.  ‘  he  definitely  misses  you.  ‘

Laughing softly as he tugs her closer to him, Feyre wraps her arms around his waist and smiles at the forehead kiss before stepping up on her toes and pressing her lips to his for a moment. "I don't know, at that time, I seem to recall a certain high lord making me write about how exceptional he is." She teases with a warm smile. "You did more than that, my love."

"Which is a shame, you should have always had an awareness of how exceptional you are." Rhys reached out, tugging her closer to him to press a kiss to her forehead. "But, in any case, I'm glad I could help you unlock your potential."

Smiling as she gets comfortable and hears him sigh, she listens to him and frowns a little before shaking her head slightly. "Anything for me?" Ariel asks and glances down at their hands. "That's the thing, I've already tried with a bathtub and a pool, that's why I wanted to challenge myself." She explains, looking at him as he grabs her hands and her glance momentarily falls to his lips. "I think that you could do the same, I believe in you." She whispers, offering him a small smile at the compliments. "Thank you...for believing in me."

Easily letting their hands slip together, he sighed happily as she leaned into him, stilling a bit as he caught his response. They were friends. Friends. He was being a good friend. Not thinking about how nice her hair smelled or how much he liked holding her hand. Her breath on his neck made him shudder, biting his lip a little before pushing onward. "Of course Ariel. Anything for..I meant Anytime. Anytime." He blushed a little, letting his thumb gently rub the back of her hand as she explained. "The beach seems like the most...extreme way to do exposure therapy. Maybe a bathtub or a pool next time?" He frowned as she pulled away, carefully twisting a little to hold both her hands in his. "You're brave for even trying Ariel. It's incredible. I don't know if I could do the same. And to do it alone? Amazing. Badass to even come here."

"Right, what kind of stuff do you usually deal with, because if you think that that was a little too easy, then I'm genuinely worried for you." Ariel says with a shake of her head as she takes in a deep breath. "I'm just glad that they wouldn't have access to the lab otherwise, that could be very, very dangerous."

"If that isn't me in a nutshell." Ariel giggles and bites her lip in thought. "I had a little brother once, I'm sure if his first word hadn't been 'mama', it probably would have been something like 'Ariel, shut up' because I used to go on and on about all of the things I could teach him when he got older." She says, though her smile falters as she glances down.

Visibly relaxing as she watches him sit back beside her, she reaches over to grab his hand, resting her head on his shoulder as she sniffles lightly. "Thank you." She whispers and nods her head, though it probably feels funny on his shoulder as she takes in a deep breath. "I've been talking to my therapist about exposure therapy when it comes to my fear of water and so, I decided to go to the beach today as a step towards the progress I've been making and as I stood on the shore, the water, i-it rushed back too quickly, it was too much and I couldn't.." She moves her head away and shakes it, glancing down at her hands.

He knew he really shouldn't, having been shifting to stand before she spoke. Aeneas was getting too attached, needing to be with her too badly. He was clinging to every moment they spent together, and he knew it'd only end in heartbreak. But that knowledge didn't mean he listened to that logical part of himself.

Immediately settling back into his spot at her side, he looked over at her with a soft smile and a nod. "Always. Do you...do you want to talk about it? Or do you just want the company?"

Elide's eyebrows raise as she looks around until she finds a bar down the street and points. "We can head over there and continue the story, plus, I'm sure I can fib my way through a free drink for both of us." She admits with an easy smile.

Hope feels like her jaw drops so hard, she wonders for a moment if she locked it by accident as she walks past the two and stops, moving quickly over to the other speaking as she offers them an easy smile. She says to this stranger, trying to gently pull them from the creep.
