((Hey hey, idk who still follows this blog but, very obvious it ended up being a full on hiatus than semi lmao. Anyways, wondering whether or not to keep it or to merge with the main ribbcn-bxnes blog.))
((Tbh though, I may keep it for the sole purpose that I have a couple of good threads here Iâd rather not erase.))

*Thereâs no point continuing on about the story Hysteria, or rather Lucida, had told. Jaws has said all he wanted to say about it, so now is time to move on to the⌠interesting topic of this duplicate.
*Thereâs the obvious details, where this apparent double of him is short and his jaw doesnât work the same. The odds of a pure duplicate are astronomically small. Something only possible in a parallel universe setting, and even then the odds of finding someone identical in appearance are infinitesimal. Something only theory could even say thereâs a chance of happening.
*Regardless, thatâs a thought for another day, though thanks to that thought coming up, it took noticeably longer for Jaws to reply, looking deep in thought as he processed the information Lucida told him. Though the mention of Hysteria having a severe dislike of the other compared to Lucida⌠that breaks him out of his thoughts.
âSo, let me guess. You, or rather your other side, tried to ambush him, and ended up getting your ass handed to you.â A silent hum comes from him, âIf he really is me, sans the mutations, then odds are heâs untrained. Formally, at least. Self-taught, and obviously at least decent enough with blunt weaponry to hold you off.â
*He takes a sigh, and lays his chin on the tops of fists heâs loosely balled up.
âOdds are also heâs tough physically. To stop him in a single attack would require an attack that destroys his vitals. You would need to kill him in one fell swoop if you were to beat him.â A pause, âIf heâs anything like me, he will not be an easy fight. He will also be honest. Nothing heâll say is a lie, though that doesnât mean he will tell the whole truth.â At this point, it seems Jawsâ tone is slowly changing to be more aggressive towards this adversary, âIf he is anything like me, he would more than likely not come back without purpose.â
*It seems the thought of someone coming by and tarnishing Jawsâ image before he even has a chance to introduce himself is finally starting to bother Jaws. He doesnât even seem to care that, as he continues speaking, he keeps splitting his lips past the ânormalâ for a human.
âBut he isnât anything like me. Thereâs no such thing as clones. Or duplicates. Or even parallel universes. And if there are, I sincerely doubt thereâs any legitimate way whoever this being is, that they wouldâve survived to even get here in any kind of condition to stave you off.â
*Jaws is aggravated. And softly growlingâŚ? But, heâs staying sat down despite the pissed-off look on his face.
[* She quietly listens to his theory. Funny how he was already putting everything together. As if he and the alternate had made some sort of..faint mental connection through memory. His theory, though..it... would make sense. Vitals were always something Hysteria would go for, though they were usually last after she was done toying with wearing her prey down.]
[* Honesty, on the other hand, Hysteria could care less about.]
âItâs what we would have figured. He would not reappear without some sort of reasoning. And... given that was the assumption weâd made, it was rather frightening when.. you appeared, haha..â
âBut... yes. Hysteria, the.. more brash side of me, attempted to ambush the boy. We had already had a run in with him before when we were bludgeoned by his baseball bat. We were chasing prey and.. well we did not see him coming. Thatâs where it had started. As a result of our failure, we were thrown into a river here...â
[* Hysteria was making a few âmentalâ notes from Jawsâs previous statements. Drawing out a few conclusions for next time. IF there was a next time. Lucida would continue on, noticing Jawsâs growing aggravation.]
â...It.. s-seems the thought of the boy bothers you.â
âI would... offer a c-cup of tea to take your mind off o-of him if I could. Unfortunately, I have.. l-long since run out of it. M-my apologies.â
âA-at any rate.... I am Lucida..! I am.. s-sorry we met on such grim c-circumstances.â
[* She would raise a hand half way before immediately retracting it, looking rather embarrassed about her decision. She had forgotten how dangerous handshakes were nowadays. That and.. at the distance they were away from each other, it was kinda useless.]

*And so, Jaws listened. Intently.
*His mouth shut, his eyes relaxed but unblinking, focused right on Lucida. A curious spectacle, seeing the skeleton maidenâs eyes change like that. Though it was a question for a later time. His pose held stoic, back straight and arms resting on his legs. One could mistake him for a statue if anything.
*And⌠he listened. Drawing conclusions where needed, thoughts forming as Lucida told her tale. Pity isnât something Jaws would give. To anyone. Empathy, however, is something that lets him understand the situation at hand. Coupled with his own experiences, itâs⌠just nice to meet someone not blatantly insane.
*As she finishes, Jaws would let loose a sigh as he continues thinking of a proper response. His attention concrete towards the skeleton as he sits in silence for a tense, and long, minute.
But eventually, that silence breaks, âAnd yet youâve not lost complete sanity. Something irks me to believe thereâs a part of you thatâs lost it but⌠by this time, I would not believe anyone down here is completely sane.â A sigh, âYour story is not one deserving pity. Youâve murdered, slaughtered, eviscerated. Youâve lured countless monsters to their deaths more than likely, as well as attacking others who had escaped.â
âBut⌠it does not give me the right to judge. Iâve bludgeoned, mauled, mutilated plenty of my own. Countless others have fallen to my teeth, and others still my blade. Our wars are internal, fighting beasts and cunning entities that act to survive, while we act to persevere.â
*And another sigh, this time reserved. Soft. As if he empathizes with Lucida and her situation. It helps when the twoâs stories are closely related in their upbringing and how theyâre in the situation they currently are. Though⌠a question peaks Jawsâ interest.
âYou mentioned some time ago that youâve seen my face before, while I had never even been in this section of the area before. I realize the memory may not be pleasant by any means, but I believe it would be to both our benefits if thereâs one less imposter going around and terrorizing the already stressed residents here.â
[* Lucida could already hear Hysteria berating her for going against what theyâd talked about moments ago. Though the tired maiden found nothing wrong with it. Twas just a useless tale. Nothing to pick from it. The Tattered Maiden shook head.]
âWe do not accept pity anyhow. As you said, we donât deserve it. We donât need it.â
[* Funny how Jaws was right on the money. She had both blood and dust on her hands. The dust from those who tried to challenge her. Or.. âHysteriaâ anyways. A gloved hand rises to her teeth and she gently gnaws on it, her gaze fixated on the ground. It was a nervous tick she picked up over the years. It was either her glove or her own fingers she would chew on to exert nervous energy.]
[* She stops abruptly to return her attention to the superhuman as he gives his inquiry. At the mention of the alternate, both of Lucidaâs hands cling to her opposite sides. She shrinks down.]
âHe...he is shorter than you. His jaw does not function the same as yours nor does his body dawn armor, but he wears your face a-and a bat!... H-he...â

á´sá´Ęá´ á´ á´á´ á´á´á´á´ ĘÉŞs á´á´Ąá´ Ęá´É˘s.â
â...â
[* She exhaled sharply and rubbed her palm into her forehead. Would be nice to yâknow, not have your otherself butt in.]
âM-my apologies. She.. carries a much heavier dislike for the boy than I...â

*As with Hysteria, Jaws would sit as she does, legs crossed, back straight up. Seems heâs prepared to tell a tale of some length, and despite his armor, seems flexible enough to hold this position for a while.
*He would take a sigh, relaxing as his lips part further than they naturally should for a brief moment. Is it an active effort for him to keep his mouth looking ânormalâ for a human?
âThe second reason is I already kill enough. And I do not even remember most of the kills I make, only blacking out and later waking up to a forest full of dust or blood.â
*Despite his calm appearance, itâs obvious stating this bothers him. In his eyes, distress and regret can be noticed. And as he keeps talking, these two qualities never leave his unblinking, unchanging eyes.
âThe reason behind this is due to a side-effect of what happened to me. I only have the scientists who experimented on me to go off of, considering my memory is shot when this happens, but the long and short of it is I go into a rage of sorts.â Fluid, and non-stop in his speech, âA state of being where I become overly hostile to any moving thing, and if something is caught, theyâre shred by my teeth. Either being eaten or simply left to bleed out with a chunk of them ripped off.â
*The latter part of that would have Jaws fully split his mutated mouth, showing off the extent to what it can actually do. Swinging it back to his neck, the enlarged and sharpened teeth are visible. To say the least, they look as if they could crush stone.
Pulling his lower jaw back, âI kill very little, if anything to counter-balance the killing that happens when I go into that state of being. All I know regarding that state is it is the sole, or at least the biggest, reason as to why Iâm down here now. I destroyed the testing chamber they had me in while I was⌠like that.â
[* ...Huh. To say the least she. Really didnât have much of a response it. Not to his odd mouth mutation, or the tale itself. However, the story did prove intriguing. Sated a bit of her curiosities. It was odd how similar their lives once were. Maybe he wasnât born in a test tube, but it was close enough.]
[* Hysteria sat silently for a moment, scrutinizing his words and examining his face. She blinked, and her gaze then rested on the ground, that usual red pupil her eyelights had.. disappeared? Her stoic expression melted into something that looked more.. somber. Tired.]
â...I once had a brother, you know? Very close we were as children.â
âBoth of us. Created in a lab and built to serve in the war long ago. Our main functions... I will not say. Though it was not a life we wanted to pursue. So we ran.â
âTime passed, a human passed through the Underground. They made it to Castle, and faced off against the King. King Asgore. It was the moment we all were waiting for. The chance for freedom.â
â..It was not the case.â
âThe King was killed. And in turn, the human used the stored souls to pass through the barrier. Undyne became Queen and.. we were ordered to strike down any humans that came through for their souls.â
â...Time passed. Food was beginning to become scarce. My brother and I were trying our best to hold out on what rations we had.â
âTime passed. Wind came from Snowdin that humans were our next hope for food. Though it was more of an undercover operation against Queen Undyneâs word. My brother and I were appalled and continued about our method of monster food.â
âTime passed... our food was long gone. Both of us tried to maintain what sanity we had left to hold out.â
[* Her expression became more pained. The memories were not all that bright and sunny. She continued anyways, voice straining on and off.]
âT..Time passed. My brother couldnât take it. He got up to join the rest of the Underground. The ones who had gone mad. I tried to stop him, but in the end.. we ended up at each others necks. So to speak in my own terms.â
âWe ended in stalemate, and he left as he said he would.â
â....â
âIâm sure you can see where everything spiraled from there, yes?..â
[* Lucidaâs eyelights had burned out again and she gave a pained grin. A huge effort was made to bite down on her emotions, though it was becoming harder and harder the more they swelled within her ribcage. In the meanwhile of her inner battle, she would wait for the giantâs reply.]
[* She expected no pity. She didnât deserve it anyhow. Though it was her own story she wanted to share with.. well someone who wasnât or soon to be dead.]

â....Why are we even bothering to stay here and listen to this human? We still have another to get to.â
â....Similarity does not equal friendship. All this tale really provides us is just meaningless understanding of motifs. WE canât apply it to anything besides a biography, if thatâs what path you are wanting to take.â
â...Donât be stupid. We have no time to write books down here.â
â......Why should we tell him about us? So he can find our weakness and break us down much quicker? Already we have shown him our emotional vulnerability. What more do we have to give for us to die quicker?!â
â...You choose not to look at it that way. I think ahead. For our safety.â
âI will not allow either of us to die. Not to anyone.â

*She doesnât understand it. It gets a sigh from Jaws, but if anything it seems like itâs one to prepare for a longer explanation. His stance never changes, staying stoic and tall as he thinks up how to properly explain things.
*After a minute or so, the tall, armored human looks straight at Hysteria, expression blank as he starts off.
[I have the means to destroy everything and everyone down here. I have raw strength. I have protection against everything thatâs been thrown at me so far. And when down here, I learned early on about some kind of magic inherent to myself.]
[So why donât I use it, and conquer the entirety of this place? First off, and you would know this as well Iâd assume, Iâd prefer to get to know what and who Iâd even be taking over. Second⌠this one depends on how interested you are in learning about a discarded experimentâs story, as otherwise the answer to your question wonât fully make sense.] He takes a slow breath, [I know both of us have time to explain and listen to it, but if you are not interested in listening, I wonât waste our time explaining.]
*And he stands there, waiting for an answer. While he knows she more than likely is interested, itâs only polite to make sure before going on what could potentially be a rather long spiel.
â...â
[* Her own stance does not change as he spoke. Stock still and tense, the only part of her moving being her tail that occasionally flicked back and forth. Her eyesockets remained empty voids, but Jaws would still be able to feel her gaze directed on him.]
[* After he was done, she would contemplate his offer. She hadnât anything else to do. Nowhere important to go. There was a target she was intending to get to.. however, he would always be here. No matter how far he would hide to get away from her, he would always be reachable.]
[* In any case, Hysteria took a deep breath, then heaved a heavy sigh. Slowly, she would ease herself onto the ground to sit criss cross apple sause and place one hand on one knee as she leaned. Luckily, despite the lower potions of her dress being ripped up, it was low enough to cover anything higher as she sat.]
[* This should be interesting.]
â..Proceed.â

[* Her fists clenched... then relaxed. The ONLY reason she broke so easily is that not only was she not prepared for a familiar face to reappear, but said familiar face suddenly wanted to TALK despite what they had just gone through months prior.]
[* She wanted to argue her point and make it clear. Though she would refrain from outburst. For now. She needed answers from this guy.]
â...You have mentioned you will defend yourself when need be. Harshly if it means your opponent does not let up. And you have the ability to crush another skull similar to stepping on a moderately small piece of ice.â
â..So tell me. Why is it that you would rather walk the path of pacifism above all else? In a place like this.â
âYou would rather.. talk.â
â...I do not understand it.â

"Then I fight. On the surface, I was changed to be a super-soldier. Someone able to take down full armies. If I can't simply incapacitate... intimidation works. Show dominance in strength and wits, make them the beta and me the alpha." Pause, then a sigh, "And if needed, sometimes a beta needs to be /broken/ to show superiority." *...what is he implying here...?*
âHm..â
[* Given that she was all too familiar with asserting dominance, she had a pretty good idea of what he was implying. She would believe him too. Hysteria was beginning to come to terms with his views. She did not believe in true pacifism. It just was not possible here and she would scream it until the cows came home.]
[* However, the mention of his experimentation⌠Again it caught her interest. Her head tilted down just slightly. She spoke in a lower volume before.]
ââŚI suppose we may bump heads a few times, depending on the situation. I do not intend to lower myself for anyone. If I need to do so, I will raze my path if it becomes obscured.â
[*⌠Now what could a scrawny skeleton like herself mean by that? It was obviously a challenge to some degree, but..]

"Like you wouldn't do the same to someone else?" There's a sharp sigh at that, "But anyway. I do kill. Plenty. I tend to isolate myself when I do though. Just remember that there's always the calm before the storm. Interpret that how you want, but the long standing issue is that while killing is unavoidable here, I prefer to incapacitate when possible."
ââŚâ
[* Ok, he was right on that part. She was a silent killer when she wanted/needed to be. Her momentary silence begrudgingly giving valediction to that statement.]
[* She shook her head however, ignoring the âkillingâ part and looking him in the eyes once more.]
âAnd what then if they come back for you? If they gain enough SPITE and form groups. What then?â
âIncapacitate all you want. They will remember. And sometimes, they will not stand by so idly when you decide show yourself again.â

[* oH HELLO GIANT EAVESDROPPING MAN HOW THE HELL ARE YA.]
[* Needless to say, Hysteria jumps and without hesitation whirls around to see him standing there. Itâs nice that heâs keeping a distance but⌠Jesus jimminy crickets.]
âFIRST. OFF. Do not sneak up on me like that. You are still on rough waters with me.â

sooo... now that you've had a while to calm down from it, whatcha think about that their duplicate of that one human that nearly shattered your skull forever ago?
[* It had been a while since sheâd seen the large man. Truth be told, she felt much better with him finally gone. Maybe not from the Underground as a whole⌠but vacant from this area.]
[* ..She could still smell the familiar STINK of another human in the area. Though she would retrieve his heart later. For now..]
ââŚ.I donât know.â
âMy mind constantly screams at me that he is no different. That he is only acting kind to try and break down my walls.â
