Will can’t cope with the fact that Abigail killed a man

After they remind each other they’re a family of killers

You’ve taken a life – No, you have – So, have you – Yes, thank you for noticing – Don’t mention it.

We witness the very first of many Will’s attempts of drawing a clock.

It’s actually an exercise that makes us all -Hannibal too- understand that Will is not well, but makes Will just sick of drawing clocks.   

This time he doesn’t only hallucinate, lose time and freak out, but is also almost convinced to have killed a girl.

He is terrorized

And Jack hates him.

Same shit different day.

With this awesome news, Will persuades Hannibal to take him to a doctor.

Yes, he persuades him like that, Will has his ways.

 After the brain scan shows that Will has encephalitis, Hannibal and the doctor who did the scan decide to keep the information for themselves because, you know, Will is full of friends.

So Will is now convinced he is crazy, after all.

He does another brain scan. This time at night, with no one around; the clinic is dark and silent.

Look at that cute puppy all alone and about to make a happy discovery.

There, Hannibal killed Will’s doctor because he doesn’t want anybody to know about Will’s encephalitis. Probably he wants to be the one giving Will the good news.

The new killer is blamed for the mess (for now).

Hannibal and Will go on with their lives. Well, one more optimistically than the other.

Trou Normand

Some summary required

  Beauty is all around our puppy-Will

A totem of corpses is just what he needs to be happy.

The sight is so amazing Will has a new addition to all his problems. He loses time. He closes his eyes in one place and opens them…

In Hannibal’s office.

Surely not!

For Will must be reassuring to be completely freaked out

In front of his nonchalant doctor who is dusting his coat.

Then this conversation happens

Will doesn’t ask himself what should be the right corner in which you have to look if you sleepwalk, have hallucinations and lose time. No, he listens to Hannibal.

Jack is even less worried than Hannibal and Will is just

Abigail decides to write a book about her former dad to make some money. Hannibal and Will try to convince her not to do it and Abigail’s response is unburying her killed man.

Hannibal is not pleased, since he helped her to bury him and it was all time wasted.

Do you imagine that? Burying a corpse is not simple.

And she unburies it.

How do they do these things?

Anyway, new dad is scary

Abigail is grounded.

Thanks to a dream, Will realizes that Abigail killed the guy.

But Will soon tells Hannibal he won’t say a word about it.

The murder family is born.

  Will’s life is not getting easier.

He hears voices.

He asks his dogs if they hear them too, but the dogs don’t know anything about it.

  The new killer in town is one who tried to play his victim like a cello.

Jack has the nerve to tell Will “You shake it off, get to work”. It’s important to point out the zero fucks Jack gives toward Will’s state of mind for future references.

  So Will goes to Hannibal to discuss the case. While discussing, since they’re at it, they do this cute love dance around the desk. Actually, it’s probably just Hannibal following Will.

  Hannibal is surrounded by patients who are potential killers or patients who have potential killers as friends.

Tobias is a friend of Franklyn’s; Hannibal goes meet him to tell him that he likes him.

And Tobias returns the favour by accepting a dinner with Hannibal.

  Will keeps himself busy kissing Alana. Then goes confess his sins to Hannibal because he clearly feels guilty.

But puppy-Will is always forgiven.

Who wouldn’t forgive him?

Well, Hannibal sends Will to Tobias… So maybe forgiveness is a strong world.

Anyway all’s well that ends well.

Franklyn is killed

After a sexy fight scene, the first one of many, also Tobias is killed

Will is not.

Some summary required

Will is working on a case in which the killer seems to be the Chesapeake Ripper. But he is not.

Jack has a tantrum, because he really wants this killer to be the Ripper so, just for a change, he blames Will for all the wrongs in the world.

  Hannibal is upset for reasons,

so he throws a party. In order to do that he must kill a few people because, you know… Food is expensive.

  Not even Will can make all the blues go away

    And the result is

  In this orgy of killers and killed people, finally at least one killer is caught.

  And finally, Will falls in love.

For real.

Even if I’ve been joking about it so far, and I’ve not, I’m not joking anymore.

  A bonus of all the beautiful things in this episode.

Entrée

Some summary required

Where we meet Doctor Abel Gideon, one that will truly put up with Hannibal’s shit. Abel is the most relaxed man in the world, especially if you have just cut his leg off to make him eat it. 

Anyway, let’s take this step-by-step.

Abel is a prisoner in the BSHCI. Because he killed some relatives.

But also because he still has problems.

That’s why Will and Jack go to the Institute, where Dr Chilton welcomes them.

Dr Chilton is the second character in this show, after Dr Gideon, who doesn’t take his misfortunes personally.

Actually this episode is the bringer of this scene, which happens only in Will’s mind (and probably in Hannibal’s trousers every now and then).

This is dark-Will.

You can see here the difference with the real Will.

And understand the reason why Hannibal is eager to change him into a killer.

  Dr Gideon claims to be the Chesapeake Ripper.

Since the Chesapeake Ripper is Hannibal the problem is clear.  

Hannibal is not amused.

Maybe it’s because in this episode he doesn’t see Will.

When Hannibal is not amused he starts to kill people, cut pieces, eat them and make all his friends eat with him.

From this, they all should learn that you don’t keep Hannibal away from Will, simple as that.

Coquilles

Some summary required

 Just to be surer about it, Will is not very well.

He walks around in the middle of the night, followed by his hallucination, his dog and the police.

He goes straight (not the right word choice, sorry) to his doctor to tell him all about it.

I mean he goes like two minutes after the police takes him home.

Well, Hannibal is not worried, obviously. He likes his Will tortured and consumed by fear.

 The new case is a mild one, as you can see

And Will faces not only his problems but Jack’s ones too. And when Jack has problems he screams at Will to let the tension out.

So Will again goes to Hannibal and gets this

  Will has a funny and healthy life.

Good for him.

Jack screams at him a little more, telling him he can quit FBI if he wants but actually making it clear that he can’t do it, and Will hallucinates again in celebration.

There, by episode five the characters are completely screwed up.

  Serious shit happens

Told you.

  And Will goes to investigate. Nobody should be surprised by his precarious state of mind, considering the things he is forced to see…

    Will leaves his precious dogs in Hannibal’s care

  The dogs never asked about what they ate in those days. Only Buster, years after, had the courage to say: “I knew it. I knew it all along, but I was hungry…”

  Hannibal doesn’t do favours for nothing.

Will gives him his reward

  You may think that most of the time Will doesn’t know his shit, but he does.

    In this image he shows his attributes to keep the doctor interested.

The doctor is clearly interested.

  While Will solves the case, Hannibal carries on the plan of having a daughter with Will.

He drugs Abigail to give her an idea of what her life will be from now on.

No other fandom would believe this is only episode four.

Potage

Some summary required

 Abigail, the girl who doesn’t know she has two dads now, wakes up in the hospital.

Cute puppy and his psychiatrist go visit her.

Will’s expressions don’t give a sense of euphoria.

But Hannibal is not very good at bedside manners too.

He means he will help her having more of them.

 To bond with his new daughter, in fact, he kills her best friend Marissa

And arranges her like that just to be a braggart.

 At night Abigail shows that she is the best choice for Be the surrogate daughter of a serial killer since your serial killer father is dead by killing a guy and then hiding his body with Hannibal’s help.

Do you start to see the pattern here?

Amuse-Bouche

Some summary required

 Puppy-Graham’s adventures continue as he just killed a man and he is not ok with that. He dreams and hallucinates about him.

Doctor Lecter has to do a psychological evaluation about Will’s state of mind. With the words “You’re more or less sane, well done!” he gives Will his bless.

Hannibal’s bless is something between doom and apocalypse.

Will is dubious about it as you can see,

But he accepts it and goes on.

There’s a new investigation about a dude who grows fungi on fertilised bodies (second episode, not remotely the strangest killer nearby, note that) and Will-You’re-more-or-less-sane-well-done must help Jack. But he is fine, no worries.

Hannibal is not worried, why should you be?

Maybe Hannibal is not worried because he’s too busy flirting with the patient…

 But the cute puppy has a plan: sleeping at the foot of the bed where the killed man’s daughter is recovering

so when she wakes up he can say “She’s my daughter, I saw her first!” and then raise her with his psychiatrist.

Good plan, we’ll see how it goes.

Apéritif

Some summary required.

Will Graham is a cute puppy who uses his empathy to understand killers’ behaviour. He shines with happiness and smiles.

  He is approached by FBI Special Agent Jack Crawford, the master of good ideas, who needs help with an investigation about some missing girls.

Since the cute puppy isn’t mentally stable Jack opts for giving him a guide, a mentor, a psychic help: Doctor Hannibal Lecter, all smiles and pretty faces.

Also a cannibalistic serial killer.

But this will remain a mystery until the end of season two. Like… Will catches every serial killer in all the States but not the one under his nose.

You know why?

Because they are in love.

  And we’re just getting started.

Questo è un lavoro che volevo fare da lungo, lunghissimo tempo.

Comincia oggi e non so quando finirà, ma la mia passione per Hannibal a quanto pare non accenna a scemare, quindi posso ritagliarmi tutto il tempo che mi serve per dire tutto ciò che c’è da dire.

Per me Hannibal è tutto, è ogni forma di creatività possibile e ogni forma di comunicazione possibile.
