☺: three things that make my muse happy

Kairi has a lot of things that make her happy! But her top three would probably also consist of things that kind of make her sad as well. Her happiness has a double edged sword now. While most of the time she can just grin and bare it, that doesn’t stop it from hurting her heart. 

1. She enjoys being around her friends! Hanging out with Sora and Riku are one of the best things that could make her smile. Kairi’s missed having them around that any time that they can spend together is one that she’ll treasure. When those two are around, that’s when she feels the most grounded. She knows that she can take care of herself, but she’s spent the better part of two years having this whole in her heart where the two of them were.

2. Crafting! Kairi is always needing something to do with her hands, so she’s got tons of crafting projects that she gets through to help her with that. It keeps her calm, but also is something that can be spent with other people. Normally her brother will join her in her crafting times. It’s kind of become a ritual for them at this point for some good ol’ brother-sister bonding time. It’s one of the things that she misses greatly when she goes off to train with Lea and Merlin.

3. Baking has always been something Kairi has associated with being happy. Ever since her parents adopted her, her dad would bring her along to help him create tasty treats for his bakery. Even at home, it’s such a family oriented affair. She and her brother will help their dad bake things for their mother before she gets home. (Though they still get berated for leaving the kitchen so dirty.) It’s always one of the things that have made her feel like Destiny Islands really was her home. That she actually belonged there.

☂:  what my muse does on a rainy day

Naminé finds a lot of good art inspiration on rainy days! During the Autumn she sits by her window in a comfy sweater and some tea and just draws away in her sketchbook. The rain is always so calming for her, and she loves storms too. The stormier the weather, the more likely she sit by the window to watch the lightning flash through the sky. 

It’s also something that actually helps her sleep better too? She actually gets pretty sleepy during rainy weather, so after she does some sketching she’ll sometimes take a short nap while listening to the rain fall against her window. It helps her get to sleep at night a lot easier too. So if she has sleep troubles, she’ll usually use her gummiphone to play some rain ambiance to help her fall asleep at night.

☃:  does my muse like the holidays?

Kairi loves holidays! She the ‘go big or go home’ type of person with holidays. Halloween and Christmas are one of her favorites, considering she actually enjoys cooler weather during those times of the year. Halloween also means that she can make new costumes for her and her friends. She also loves throwing Halloween parties for her friends (though she still hasn’t found a friend who will sit through her horror movie marathon yet). 

She’s that person who will watch Hocus Pocus every single year because it’s tradition. She also loves baking fall treats with her dad, so during Halloween she goes all out with the pumpkin and cinnamon flavors.

Kairi is also that person who will switch gears the moment November 1st rolls around and start singing Christmas music all the time. She drives her brother crazy with how often she sings the holiday songs. She also enjoys giving her friends presents! The way that their faces light up when they see what she’s gotten or made for them is always so satisfying for her. Nothing makes her happier than to see that.

      there was a brief moment of thought, hands moving to a more thoughtful position as he wondered why the sudden change in topic . to be honest, he didn’t really know what kairi liked outside of old ( and perhaps dated ) memories from childhood that still may or may not be RELEVANT . mostly, he had never thought to ask –- too shy maybe, though it was something he thought often about when he was younger .

       ❝ uh … no ? ❞

      really he couldn’t think of anyone that kairi’s eye might’ve caught, after being away for so long ; there wouldn’t have the chance to see who her new friends were or the POSSIBILITY of someone else that she may be eluding to . he felt so out of the loop, it was hard enough to contend with others that struck a better chance than he did ( but kairi would have been the first to tell me … ) but there came a lot of responsibility with being a keybearer, then there was the secret of the worlds to manage … and his own airheaded-ness, sora hardly had the time to really quest for the RIGHT ATTRIBUTES for what someone’s heart wanted . ( for what her heart wanted … he thought it was –- ) 

    with a small tug at his hair, he glanced over to the slight strands of light brown, twisting it briefly between his fingers before he felt his heart suddenly begin to HAMMER in his chest .
