did i take a break from bsd content because i found a new thing to hyperfixate on? yes
have i lost interest in said hyperfixation and am now in need of a different one? also yes
#aka my cycle of fixating on bsd just long enough to get tired of thinking about it#moving on to something else (in this case ark and avatar)#and then returning to bsd like the loyal mentally (un)healthy fan than i am#in other news once i read the last few months’ chapters i’ll probably find something to post about#and hopefully the post isn’t lost to the void since i’ve been inactive for so long everybody forgot about me

i sure hope sigma is alive because that means we would have him, atsushi and kenji working for the agency and it would be the purest workplace if it weren't for the masochistic doctor, the suicidal ex-mafioso and the alabama siblings

I know I keep making jokes about the way this last episode went, and I keep posting silly things. But I'm actually pretty pissed.
The only way I am keeping my positive air about this is because I'm practically praying that Asagiri is gonna just keep going with something different in the manga. I'm praying for a manga and anime divergence, for them to go in two different directions.
This episode felt like bullshit after the last one and after chapter 109-110.
If this is canon for both the manga and the anime, I feel like it's been cheated. Asagiri has been telling such a different type of story, and watching that episode didn't feel like that story. It felt cheap, and thrown together. It felt like it lacked any of the emotion and character building from prior chapters/episodes.
It just felt wrong.
So (hopefully) either the anime has turned into some half cooked spinoff or the happenings in this episode are some kind of trick, either way, I am not a huge fan of how it's turned out.
Thank you for watching my Ted talk.
#i’m glad i’m not the only one who thinks this tbh#i was able to stay positive about the episode. up until the final scene#it just felt like everything got thrown away#and everything felt so rushed#hoping Asagiri includes extra stuff that wasn’t in that episode#bsd spoilers#bsd season 5

given that the anime is going to catch up to the manga and still have lots of time to spare in episode 11, I now got that kisho taniyama (chuuya’s va) quote specifying how “if you watch this 5th season all the way to the end, I think you will be able to feel more of the depth of the relationship that dazai and chuuya have established” playing on repeat in my head like?? sir?? what do you know???
