I’m very sorry, I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep up with this blog anymore. (Not that I was in the past month or two anyway, lol.)
I was trying to work this blog around my “real life” workload, but I’ve lost motivation to do that.
I’ll keep the page up, for people to still be able to enjoy my posts/reblogs, but unless I get a sudden burst of motivation I won’t be doing anything on this account (or on tumblr in general) anymore.

Female Meinshao are attracted to males with long whiskers (a sign of high testosterone, steady diet, and good health). Males prefer females with long, dark claws (implies good fighting skills, diet high in calcium, and ability to establish a good territory). As a result, males crane their necks during breeding season (to show off the length of their whiskers), while females stomp their feet (pay attention to the claws, boys!).

With the holidays coming up, many families will be getting new additions to their families, as well as many children getting their first Pokémon. During this time it is important to remember to do research on any potential Pokémon you want to buy or adopt. Do you love growlithe, but don’t like to clean up after or maintain its coat? Do not get a growlithe because they’re very prone to shedding and need constant brushing to avoid mats. Is rockruff more your speed? They need behavioral training due to large amounts of vocalizing, and the rocks on their neck hurt when rubbed on skin which is not safe for children or the elderly. Maybe a Buneary for your significant other? They need constant attention due to being prey animals and usually cannot be held in the same home with other predator Pokémon. Maybe a pichu for your child’s first Pokémon? They are very unstable with their electrical abilities and can easily shock anything and anyone near them, even getting a simple hug can shock the hugger.
Always do research, the Pokémon you want may not be the right pokemon for you.

Hello everyone, my name’s Caleb Melrose but you can just call me Kale. I’m a Sinnoh native (Hearthome) currently living in Unova (Castelia, in a very small apartment haha). I moved to Unova in the hopes of studying the Pokémon here! I’m an aspiring Pokémon Professor and student.
I always admired Professor Rowan but have found Professor’s Juniper research fascinating. It would be a honor to meet her someday. I made this blog in the hopes of meeting other amazing Professor’s. Still, I’m fairly new at blogging and haven’t yet gotten the hang of it.
Astrape, my Ampharos is my childhood friend and has always been with me. They actually evolved a few months ago and are still getting used to the change. They were a bit sad at the loss of their wool but they’re feeling better now. They’re very friendly and sociable.
Then there’s Hegemone the Swadloon, my recently made friend. I caught her in the wild as a Sewaddle and she basically evolved last week into Swadloon. She’s a bit moody but she’ll grow out of it, I think. As a Sewaddle, she liked to chill on my head. Now she’ll sometimes come on my shoulder.
While I want to be a researcher, I’m also a trainer and hope to have a full team someday. As for research, I’m not quite sure in what I should specialize in. I know no one can choose for me but suggestions are welcome, haha.
Anyway, I think that’s about it. Please feel free to ask me anything you wish, whether about me, my Pokémon, Sinnoh… I’ll do my best to answer. Have a nice day, whoever and wherever you are.

My and my comrade had a theory that pokemon are formed from some sort of particle that exhibit traits of both matter and energy while also being connected to another dimension full of the same particle(ex: reversal world), and this is what lets a pokemon like magikarp evolve without using nearby material for fuel and allow extra material for pokemon moves. We also theorized that the shell that forms around mega evolving pokemon is like the shell on a pokemon egg. What are your opinions on this?
The theory about the “shell” around mega evolving Pokémon is interesting! Eggshell or not, it’s a cool adaption since mega evolution takes a lot of energy, and without any form of protection it’d leave them vulnerable for a few seconds. The first theory is... a little beyond what I can grasp at the moment. Maybe I’ll get back to you after contemplating it a little more, haha!

you're an ecologist, right? could you give a little insight as to how the construction of lumiose city affected the pokemon who live there?
Oh! Yes, I do know a bit about this. The most fascinating (in my opinion) effect was how it affected the native bird Pokémon. Fletchling, and the rest of the line, were displaced, and some ended up in the nearby Santalune Forest where they were previously not native to since they are hawklike Pokémon that hunt in large, open spaces. They were able to adapt decently well to the forest and there’s still a stable population there today. On the other hand, the Pidgey population stayed as the city grew because it provided them with an unconventional but effective habitat.

Despite their ferocious appearence, the Mighyena line gives plenty of chances for enemies to flee before attacking. This Pokémon is actually very gentle in nature, only attacking when foes threaten it’s young. They are common guard dogs for this reason

For those unaware because staff isn’t saying it
Tumblr was deemed too full of inappropriate content to be allowed to be downloaded from the app store.
It has this “inappropriate” problem because of rampant porn ad bot accounts. The old solutions were bots to detect image sets with nsfw content, the automatically enabled safe mode, tag filtering for mobile, and wide takedowns of nsfw bots based on words used (that’s why their messages are full of numbers and symbols, to evade this)
Tumblr released their own bot supposedly capable of wiping the ad bots, but it’s taking down many popular blogs, possibly due to sheer amounts of posting or sheer amounts of ad bots in their notes. This bot was likely rushed to be put out.
You are more likely to be accidentally flagged if you post external links, as well. If your acct is taken down you CAN get it back, but it’s a pain. E-mail tumblr support for help with this. It takes down side blogs with the main ones.
I’ll be halting posts for about a week or until this problem is fixed.

I would like to check something, do zoroarks behave differently in the winter/when it gets rather cold/during cold weather? Or does their needs change?
The most noticeable change is that they grow thicker coats and start storing food in caches; as hunting in winter can be scarce, they will save up food and go back for it later if they can’t find any more. Other than that, they act just about the same.
