All you had wanted was to make dinner for Remus. He worked so hard and took such good care of you, and you wanted to do something nice for him. Unfortunately, your culinary skills were lacking, and it ended up quickly digressing into a disaster.

Stranded: Part 13
Part 14
Sirius stood saying goodbye to his friends at the end of the train. They were all laughing as they got off, Sirius waited until they had left to make his way through the happy families on the platform toward the unhappy faces of the Black’s and Nott’s. He ignored the girl standing next to his brother as he neared them.
“It’s lovely for you to join us Sirius,” Mrs Black spoke in a sinister tone with a smile whilst Mrs Nott grabbed Alice and Sirius’s shoulders pulling them into what would seem like a hug “we will talk about punishments when we get back, now smile.”
Regulus grabbed Alice’s hand as they walked into no. 12 Grimmauld Place without even having a chance to put their things down Regulus was sent to his room and with a flick of Orion’s wand Sirius and Alice were sat in chairs with their wrists tied to the arms. “You might not think we know about your escapades in Hogwarts.” Alice’s father said pointedly “but we do, we also know that Sirius has had 40 detentions this year has been told off 5 times per day consistently and is failing nearly all of his classes,” the four adults had now surrounded them with each child’s parents facing their child as Sirius’ and Alice’s chairs were back to back.
“We have told you time and time again, and you never seem to listen, Sirius you obviously have no care for others getting hurt in your place and poor Alice who hasn’t done anything wrong is now going to be punished for your doing.” The girl whimpered as Sirius huffed.
As the punishments went on through the night Regulus had came out of his room and placed himself quietly on the stairs so he could hear what was being said. He heard the cry’s of the girl who was unlucky enough to have a sort of friend who would risk putting her through this pain, hours after the first cry he was still sitting there regretting the decision to come down in the first place.
Alice and Sirius muttered a ‘thank you’ as they walked out of the room into Regulus’s view. Alice had blood and tears covering her face and marks all over her arms and her dress was now stained. Sirius had a few hand prints on his face and a few cuts from rings but that was the worst of it. They had obviously given Alice the worst of it to make Sirius watch his consequences.
Sirius tried to help Alice up the stairs only to have the girl push him away whilst she reached for Reggie to help her up. Sirius felt terrible about what had happened and what had been done to them, to Alice, so he turned on his heal and started to walk back towards the room their parents were still in. “Don’t,” he heard whispered, as he turned to look at the middle of the stair case. “ haven’t you done enough?” He heard from his brother who had his friends face tucked in the crook of his neck.
“Go to bed Sirius. You can’t mess that up.” He heard from Alice as she moved up the stairs.

Stranded: Part 12
Part 13
It was the end of 2nd year and since Reggie had punched Sirius there had been war between the school. Nobody liked Slytherins but the Hufflepuffs were loyal to them still which meant there was still the Ravenclaws. Alice knew if she was strategic she could have at least half of the Ravenclaws on her side due to connections. Lucius had mentioned a couple of things to her only to be shut down and tell Alice he was there if she needed to talk.
Remus knew Sirius was struggling the howlers from his parents due to detentions and being taunted by students who had seen or heard about the after math of his and Alice’s fight. Specifically the part where he was yelling and kicking the tree by the lake cursing Slytherin and Alice for being naive about their situation. James, Peter and Remus had sat on the grass at this point half cheering him on and half trying to half him down.
Alice had heard of what had happened after she left, she’d heard what he thought of her. She hadn’t cared what anybody had thought about her, but this statement that came from him didn’t sit well with her as she sat in the Slytherins compartment. Sirius was naive thinking that for the past 12 years she hadn’t gone through punishments if not worse than his. She’d seen his scars they were deep sometimes but barely ever. Where as she had blood constantly pooling under her clothes hence why she never wore the same outfit twice. Sirius was stupid to think she was the stupid one.
As the train pulled into the station she knew from the looks on her parents and the Blacks faces, the shared dissatisfaction, that this was going to be a long break.

Stranded: Part 11
Part 12
The following few days after Alice's outburst she'd found James being cornered in deserted halls, Peter being locked into cupboards in the dark with the door being held shut whilst he begged to be let out, and Remus, who she almost felt bad for as he was nice to her on the train in first year, Remus had people following him making him feel as if they were going to pounce at any time. Paranoia started to set in on the three boys.
The whole of Hogwarts now knew about the attack on Alice, and now about the girls battle back. Slytherins were representing her as pawns on a chess board, attacking at her word . All four houses were cowering under her, the Gryffindors were lacking in their bravery, Ravenclaws knew better than to disrupt the hierarchy and the Hufflepuffs were finally gaining power as they now had a voice as they were the favoured house among Slytherins.
Sirius had grown tired of Alice's rise in Hogwarts, he was confused on why he wasn't being targeted But he was certainly not going to let the rest of Hogwarts go in to fear. The boy strutted over to the group of Slytherins sitting around a tree. "Alice Marie Nott!" He yelled causing the auburn haired girl to jump causing Lucius to stop stroking her hair and lifting her head from his lap jumping up to greet the calling voice. Running a few steps, before stopping in front of the brown eyed boy. Despite Alice's queen like persona, she was a child at heart and for a moment or two as she stood in front of the boy who she once called her best friend. For those few moments she forgot about their fight on the train, she forgot about the beating that she took from him and her parents, she forgot about covering up his mistakes that could cost him, and her. For a moment in her eyes they were just children who were standing about to speak. They were standing, and she was blissfully unaware of what he was really there for.
"What are you doing." He said loud enough to gather the attention of everyone around. "I tought you were better than this Alice. Honestly. Scaring people into following you around like scared little puppies. God, I thought you were better than a heartless Slytherin." Growls from fellow Slytherins in response to his last remark. Sirius' eyes were glowing with hate and his hair had fallen over his eyes slightly giving him a vicious look adding to his crooked tie and frantic shirt. Alice was shocked and slightly disheartened as her blissful moment had come to an end. She face had slightly sunken from her optimistic expression she had previously had. "Sirius Orion Black, you have no right, no right what's so ever to come marching over to me like this. I tought you'd want to come back home to your rightful place here. I thought you were better than a pathetic sleazy meek Gryffindor." The girl spat him.
There was whispers breaking out around the two as they stared each other down neither wanting to back down. "Home?" The boy looked hurt after processing this statement. "Home is not somewhere you despise. Is somewhere you want to be Alice. Not somewhere where your scared of doing wrong. God don't you get it I hate at the house. I only stayed for Reggie, hes got you now so i wont be going back to the place you call 'home' Alice" there was complete silence, not even the wind made a sound. That was until there was a smack of skin hitting another, a it's colliding with a cheek. Regulus' fist colliding with Sirius' cheek. Alice looked at the younger Black who was still her height.
She looked at down to his hand that was now cut by the knuckles. He'd never hit anyone before, that hit might have broken a few fingers. She put her hand on his back and lead him away from the crowd. Only stopping to tell the crowd that the show was over.

Stranded: Part 10
Part 11
"I was with Snape." The girl lied hoping to not get caught by her blatant lie. There was silence surrounding the two Slytherins. Nobody dared to say a word, they just watched until a voice called out as feet were pattering down the common room stairs. "Alice, are you alright? Did you fight them off? I'm sorry I left, I should have stayed. I'm sorry. Did you get them in trouble?" The boy was cut off by Alice's voice "Severus!" The girl was worried now that her cover was blown. Not for her, but for the boy.
"What do you mean fight them off? Fight who off Alice?" Lucius' patience was wearing thin as her waited for an answer. Alice's green eyes looked everywhere but meeting his own glaring back at her. "Alice!" He yelled and the girl flinched at the suddenness.
"I got in a fight with James Potter and his friends." She replied in a whisper uncertain of what was to come. "I was at the lake with Severus and the three of them came up and started firing hexes at him. When I told them to stop they did it on me instead." The common room was a quite as dust setting. Lucius was outraged with The younger black haired boy. Asking him repeatedly where he was at the time of this whilst backing him to a corner.
Despite Sirius doing most of the damage, Alice wasn't going to tell anyone what he'd done. After all it would Get back to their parents. Over the previous summer holiday they hadn't made an effort with talking to each other, and Sirius hadn't given a moments thought about everything that Alice had hidden for him. All the other things he had been caught doing had enough punishment to make someone want to go to Azkaban. He might be the worlds worst friend, but she most definitely wasn't.
"Boys get your wands, we're teaching them rats a lesson." The blonde spoke to his friends as they all stood up Alice spoke up, "No. Sit. Down. Your not going anywhere. I don't need you to fight for me, I'm perfectly capable of defending myself thank you very much. I'm meant to be the future queen of Slytherin when you all leave. If I'm going to have some kind of power at all I can't have a load of 7th years doing my dirty work just yet. So sit back down and stop baabing me because I'm not a god damn child." The girl was radiating a dark aura that caused everyone to follow her orders out of fear. Lucius looked at her in surprise before scoffing and turning away to the dorm, everyone following him out.
Relaxation washed over Alice as she fell onto the sofa in front of the green glowing fire. She thought about the mysterious boy from the storm previous to all the shouting. How stupid were they to go out in the middle of a storm to rescue some random girl. They had to be a Gryffindor. It was that kind of narcissistic bravery that gained yourself a name for you self in that house. The question is, did she want to find them again or not?

Stranded: Part 9
Part 10
The storm grew louder and wilder the longer Alice sat there. The black lake was rippling with wrath and the trees branches fought their battles against the wind. Chaos was around her but the green eyed girl had never been calmer. A voice rang out from behind her, scaring her slightly as she had assumed she was alone.
"The storms getting bad you need to come in." The voice sounded out of breath liked they'd been running. Alice didn't look to see who it was, she thought it would have been one of the boys looking for her sent by Lucius. Alice didn't want to go in just yet so she stalled. "It's not that bad." The girl replied in a soft voice just loud enough for the concerned boy to hear.
Sirius was confused, weren't they scared to get hit by the lighting that was forming. "Aren't you scared of the storm?" He waited for the girls reply. "No." Alice replied " I've always found storms calming. My friend and I, well he might not be my friend anymore, but we used to sit in on his roof in the middle of a storm. Our parents thought that it might scare us into following rules. Mind you he never seemed to like it, but i, i thought it was nice. The thrill of something bigger going on around you." Alice trailed off thinking about hers and Sirius' childhood and where it all went wrong.
The boy thought about how similar the twos childhoods were, they must have been a pureblood, most purebloods have the same upbringing. He thought of Alice and how he thought she didn't show her emotions when they sat in the storms, she was always quiet with her auburn hair flowing behinds her with the wind.
The two 2nd years oblivious to who the other was on the other side of the tree trunk.
There was silence between the two before the brown haired boy spoke up. "You should really come in now, I don't know who you are but I'm worried for you." He had a strange strain in his voice. "I don't want you to get hurt today as well." The girl sat for a moment more. He didn't know who she was, this was good as they can't get her in trouble. "I'll leave when you go, I promise." Alice had sweetness in her voice that made people comply to her wishes most of the time, this was one of those times.
"Okay then, I'll see you around stormy." And with that he left shielding his eyes from the snappy wind. The green eyed girl waited a couple of minutes before dragging herself down to her common room, stopping before entering, preparing herself for the mayhem that will occur when she walks though the door
Alice took a breath before muttering the password and stepping through. She was met by a voice yelling and everyone sitting deadly still and a single pair of feet pacing before stopping and turning to face her. "Alice Nott!" A voice yelled "Where in Salthazars name where you."
Nobody made a sound as Alice lifted her head slowly from the floor looking the voice dead in the eyes, gulping slowly.

Stranded: Part 8
Part 9
Unwilling to move Alice leaned against the tree looking out on to the lake. The sun was just peeking out before completely disappearing, it had been 3 hours since Sirius had left her alone like she'd asked and now she was still in pain. She'd received worse from her parents but she always had to keep up the act like it never hurt her, she knew that from experience that the emotion she showed was always punished worse than it originally was, she was to act like a lady and obey. But there was nobody around now, it was past curfew and it was just Alice and the moon, silently conversing in meaningless unspoken words.
Sirius sat staring at the fire in the Gryffindor common room. Did she really hate him that much that she wouldn't accept his help, sure he'd hurt her but he didn't think she'd care that much considering she was a Slytherin. It concerned him that Alice hadn't fought back against him and the rest of the boys. He'd watched her in class, she knew how to hold her own, she knew how to fight back, but she didn't. Why. He would ask her but she hasn't tried to talk to him.
When they were younger they used to play the silent game when they had to be quite because of their parents work. Alice always used to win, she didn't want to risk the consequences. Of course she got punished anyway when Sirius failed to keep quite when he had too, but she didn't mind that he was defiant that was just Sirius being himself and she would never change that.
The brown eyed boy heard the wind blowing harshly against window and walked over to it looking out as Remus, James and Peter sat talking in the background. "The weather is turning bad." He stated to nobody in particular. He kept looking out until he saw something, a person. They were just sitting there as a storm grew around them. Sirius had to get them inside or he'd worry about them, so he ran, not stopping to answer the questions being yelled at him from his friends only reply that he'll be back. He ran as the storm grew until he was nearer the tree then he stopped without seeing who the person was he yelled out to them.
"The storms getting bad you need to come in." He yelled over the wind and rain.

Stranded: Part 7
Part 8
Days tuned in to months which lead a year to pass and Sirius hadn't once tried to talk to Alice. Unfortunately for the girl James had taken his friends silence as a sign that he hated the green eyed girl. The scruffy boy had started to hex her relentless, leaving Alice visiting the hospital wing every couple of days. Determined not to let this get in the way of her Hogwarts years, so she took it like a proper lady, how her parents raised her would, she accepted it.
Malfoy and his friends had taken Alice under their wings and there was always someone to walk her to and from class, showing the rest of the school how much power the first year girl had. The girl didn't have many friends in her year other than Severus Snape, a strange boy who was extraordinary at potions. He too was picked on by James and the rest of the boys.
The sky was setting into a pink and orange tone as Alice and Severus were sitting under a tree next to the black lake studying. The sixth year Slytherin boys were all at quidditch practice so it was just the two of them, until a certain group of four boys came strutting up to them.
"Well, well, well, look what we have here." James said grabbing a book out of Alice's hands. "Give it back." Snape said in a dark manner whilst jumping to his feet trying to grab the book from the Gryffindor boys hands. All at once Sirius and Peter jumped on him holding him back as James and Remus started firing hexes at Severus. "Stop it! Stop!" The auburn haired girl yelled loudly making the four boys turn to look at her before they looked back at each other slightly giving one another a nod before releasing the Slytherin boy.
Severus looked at Alice with wide eyes as she signaled for him to leave grabbing his stuff and leaving. Everyone watched him leave like Alice had signed. Coward. Once he was out of sight the boys turned to the girl and Remus and Peter prowled closer to her as she stepped back on to the tree, the trunk hitting her back. As the two boys grabbed on to her, holding her still, James shot spells and her, leading the girl to scream out in pain.
"Come on Sirius, join the fun. You know you want to. Don't be a wuss." James smirked at Sirius as the boy looked shocked and then to Alice who had tears in her eyes. The brown eyed boy thought of all his worst memories and started to take his pain out in his spells towards the girl he used to call his friend.
By now Alice was screaming and yelling for them to stop, this brought Sirius to stop . " we need to go someone must of heard that. We're gonna get caught." The two boys dropped Alice and started to run leaving her on the floor. James started to run too, leaving Sirius behind. As Alice was whimpering on the floor in pain Sirius moved closer to her, causing her to back away. "Don't come any closer." The green eyed girl whispered. "You didn't stop them, you helped them. So. Don't. Come. Near me." The girl growled. " I'm sorry." Is all that the boy said before turned leaving Alice alone and in pain.

Stranded: Part 6
Part 7
The two stood facing each other as their fellow classmates pushed past them, bursting into the hall. Both Sirius and Alice looked at each other, tears brimming their eyes. Imagine how Alice felt, standing at the door with her best friend like she had planned but not how she planned in the slightest way possible. Sad, angry and hurt. Imagine how Sirius felt, knowing he broke her, his world, his sanctuary, knowing he could have told her in a better way. Sad, sorry and hurt.
Their moments of looking into each other's eye's was broken when James Potter dragged the boy away following the rest of the children. Alice gathered herself, wiping her tears away and taking a deep breath before striding into the great hall.
An old man started babbling with a speech, Alice's parents always said that he was crazy, they were right. Eventually the first years were being called out and Sirius was called after a few people. The boy strutted up and sat in the chair. As the hat was sitting on his head Alice's mind was running at full pace. Maybe he'd be sorted into Slytherin after all. Very unlikely but possible, that way she could protect him, and herself. Her fathers words pounded in her head like a siren "if he does anything wrong. It. Will. Be. On. You." She hadn't thought of the consequences yet but she knew they would be terrible.
Alice had always been punished for Sirius' actions worse as Sirius had. Sirius always told her what his punishment had been the next time they'd seen each other, he might have been locked in the dark for a day, but Alice, Alice would have cuts all up her back. Of course she would never tell him, he would only worry and stop doing the things that made Sirius, Sirius, and she didn't want to ever change him.
The green eyed girl was pulled out of her thoughts by the hat ringing through the hall. " well it's painfully obvious. Must be.......GRYFFiNDOR." The Gryffindors cheers echoed through the hall as Sirius walked over to his new house's table, avoiding Alice's soft glare.
All she felt now was scared. Scared for Sirius. Scared for her. Scared for Regulus, who will now be pressured more to be the perfect son that Sirius had never been. A million thoughts were racing through her head as she stared at the floor until she heard Professor Mcgonagall call out her name.
As Alice sat down the hat said many things she couldn't process. She only caught a few words here and there loyal, smart, strong, stubborn. She sat there for a minute until th what spoke aloud. "SLYTHERIN"
The Slytherin table cheered loudly as the Gryffindors booed. The auburn haired girl smiled and started walking to the middle of the table where Lucius had waved her over. As she got there the blonde shoved his friends away from him making space for the girl to sit. "I'm proud of you." He said smirking. As the rest of the children were sorted the groups focus was on the front of the room until Lucius looked at Alice glancing at Sirius, James, Remus and Peter all pushing each other snickering slightly. "Is that why you were crying earlier? That disgrace?" He asked in a low voice. The girl sat thinking about how to answer that, she was a Slytherin and a Nott she had to answer wisely. "That disgrace, means nothing anymore. But yes, he was. I thought he was worth more than a misly Gyrffindor." She snarled looking the grey eyed boy in the eyes. Lucius was proud. She was becoming a true Nott. And becoming the future Queen Syltherin. Lucius had discussed this with her at a ball once, she had gladly agreed. She wanted power with her best friend, but sometimes a queen rules best alone.
So alone she will rule.

Stranded: Part 5
Part 6
Alice walked down the train not once looking back. She was nearing the end of the train she heard someone calling her name. Alice wiped her tears away before turning to face the caller. Lucius Malfoy.
Lucius Malfoy was a 6th year but was always friendly to Alice. When she was really young he'd sit with her at balls when Sirius had gone missing when exploring. Many people thought the blonde was a rude and mean, he was, but they also didn't see the kind in him. Lucius was like a older brother to Alice
"Where's Black?" The blonde asked. The girl replied by shaking her head slightly "I'm not sure I lost him when he was finding a compartment." Alice was mad at Sirius but she wasn't going to sell him out, he was still her best friend. Lucius looked confused but shook it off and crouching down to her level as he was at least four heads taller than her. "You can come sit with me if you want." Alice looked him in the eyes and smiled. "Only if you don't mind." The green eyed girl replied.
The rest of the journey was enjoyable for Alice, although at first Lucius' friends were skeptical of Alice they all became comfortable with each other making Alice forget all about her previous fight with Sirius.
Alice was now standing with the rest of the first years as Professor Mcgonagall stood giving her speech. The auburn haired girl wasn't listening, instead she was watching a certain group of boys. Remus and Peter were standing listening to the speech but Sirius and James were whispering to each other about god knows what. She kept watching until Sirius looked over at her.
Mcgonagall had stopped talking now and Sirius was slowly making his way over to Alice, their eyes still locked. "Where did you go?" He said in a soft voice not loud enough for others to hear. Alice thought for a bit. "I went and sat with Lucius," She said looking down "We're still friends right?" She said worried. Just as Sirius was about to answer the door swung open.
The sorting ceremony was about to begin.

Stranded: Part 4
Part 5
"Ali," Sirius beamed "I couldn't find us a compartment but theses boys said we could share with them." The boy stood up and walked closer to the green eyes girl and leaned one arm on the door frame above where Alice was leaning cross armed with a slight smile. "Their nice, I promise." The girl ducked under Sirius' arm and went over to the three boys. One was very messy with dark hair and dark eyes, he has introduced himself as James Potter, her parents wouldn't be too thrilled that Alice was friendly with a blood traitor. Next was Peter Pettigrew, a small boy with fair blonde hair and blue eyes. He seemed shy but Alice didn't want to push any further. Lastly there was Remus Lupin, he had fluffy light brown hair with light brown eyes and a few scars across his face. Remus looked tall for his age but not giant and he was tucked away in the corner reading his book but still joining in to the conversations.
The strawberry blonde girls sat between Remus and Sirius rather ridged whilst talking until Sirius pulled her close to him as he spoke. Her head rested on his chest as he leaned against the wall of the compartment. "Loosen up Ali. They aren't here and I sure as well won't tell them that you actually had fun. So loosen up." Sirius said quietly enough for only her to hear. The girl lifted her head slightly and turned to face him. They looked into each other's eyes smiling.
"What house are you all hoping to get?" James had piped up. " I'm hoping Gryffindor." He looked around looking smug. "Either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor." Remus replied and Peter perked up too and stated Gryffindor. Sirius looked at Alice before speaking "I want Gryffindor but I'm probably going to be a Slytherin." He said.
The smile Alice was previously wearing fell quickly. "Well I would hope not," James said with a huff. "Slytherins are all evil backstabbing vile specimen. They should all be exiled." Alice's eye flicked from one boy to the other. She had just been starting to like them and feel comfortable around them and now they were going to hate her.
Her eyes met Sirius' he was previously looking down at the floor but was now looking at her as Remus was calling her name. They were all waiting for her preferred house but she couldn't hear them she couldn't speak. Her's and Sirius' eye contact spoke too many words. Too many words that she couldn't process what was going on around her.
Alice's green eyes were brimming with faint tears and she stood up walking out of the compartment. All four of the boys looked at her worried and confused calling out to her. Sirius got up and flowed her grabbing her wrist in the corridor spinning her around so she was facing him.
"What. Do. You. Want." She spat whilst ripping her wrist out of his grasp. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I'm sorry that you had a plan and I'm sorry I ruined that." He was talking loud so she would listen to him. They'd never really fought before only little disputes about what quidditch team they wanted to win or who regulus liked best. Nothing ever this heartbreaking. "Your sorry?" She whispered "Your sorry?" He voice was growing louder. "Are you sorry that you let me sit there for years telling you my plan, our plan. Are you sorry for not telling me how you felt and leading me on to believe that we want to same thing?" Alice was shouting loud enough for the whole train to hear now and when someone poked their head out of the compartment she shot them a glare that lead them to cower back into where they were.
"I hate it at home you know this Ali. This could be our chance to get away. Why can't you just be happy for me?" Sirius sounded hurt and Alice had tears streaming down her face like a waterfall whilst it's raining. "Sirius, I would have been happy for you either way, but you didn't tell me. I am your best friend and yet you didn't tell me that you were going to leave me for gryffindor for gods sake. You, you made me look like a fool in there," Alice shouted pointing at the compartment they had both left. " they were saying how I was a evil backstabbing vile specimen that should be exiled. And you did nothing. Nothing!" Alice's voice was cracking and James, Remus and Peter were now watching unknowing about what they were fighting about though and Alice couldn't see them through her tears.
"Because I agree with them. Their right about that." Sirius said yelling back at Alice now. Alice stopped crying and Sirius was now panting. Alice was shocked, she felt as if Sirius had stabbed her through the heart. "Well then, think of me exiled." She said backing away from him averting her eyes from his dark ones before spinning on her heel and walking away.
Sirius watched her walk away until he felt James wrap an arm around his shoulder pouncing on his back. " I do t know what that's about but let's go get some food to take your mind off it." He said dragging him back to their compartment. Before walking in Sirius looked back just in case Alice had came back: she hadn't.

Stranded: Part 3
Part 4
The two friends had been exited as they boarded the train. The car ride on the way to King's cross was filled with Alice talking about how the two friends was exited to be sorted into Slytherin and making friends when they sat down. Regulus was exited for them and that they'd have each other to stick together, but Sirius was most exited for pulling pranks and joining quidditch. The three sat laughing and smiling in the back whilst their parents were preparing what they were going to say to their children on the platform.
When they had all arrived the cases were on the train the Nott family and the Black family stood in a semi circle surrounding Sirius and Alice. Regulus stood in front of Mrs Black as she had her hand on his shoulder. "Listen close and listen carefully children," Mr Nott spoke sternly "If either of you get into any trouble at all you will both be punished." Alice's father's eyes flicked from Sirius to Alice before Mrs Black spoke up in a low voice " As we all know you don't listen to us unless we threaten the other," she said eying Sirius suspiciously "and we have both agreed on this." Alice looked down at the floor and fiddled with her fingers until her mother lifted her face harshly "We want a letter from each of you telling us that you got into Slytherin, like expected of you."
The whistle blew for final boarding and Sirius was sent off to find a compartment for him and Alice to sit in whilst Alice was kept back for another minute. Mrs Black turned Regulus to face him away from Alice. In one swift motion the girl was jolted forward by the arm as her father bent down and brought his lips near to her ear " One slip up from you and there will be punishment. Orion has told me all about Sirius' behaviour as of late, so let me tell you this once if he does anything wrong. It. Will. Be. On. You." Her father let her go and nodded signalling that she could now leave.
Alice made her way onto the train and as she pasted the Blacks she smiled politely at Mr and Mrs Black and brushed Regulus' shoulder. The green eyed girl finally got onto the train just as it was about to start moving. Alice started to look for Sirius, when she finally found him it wasn't from seeing him, no, it was from his laugh. She followed to noise and looked through the glass to see him.
Him.

September 1st, that was the date when Alice woke up. The sun was lightly shining onto her face, gently bringing her out of her sleep.
As Alice sat up she looked around her room, there was A desk in the corner with a quill neatly placed in it holder and a pot of ink and scrolls of parchment next to it. The chair was wooden to match the desks with green silk cushions. There was a bay window which looked over the lake in the meadow next to her house. The seat had books sprawled across it from where she had been reading before she had went to sleep. Then there was her wardrobe, a great mahogany box with crystal handles which now had a hanger with a dress hanging off it.
Alice got ready quickly and quietly slipping into her dull blue dress which had a black neakline and skirt hemline with a black ribbon wrapped around her waist complicating her look. The girl pulled her hair into a half up and half down look which complimented her curls and added a pin which had her family crest on it.
When Alice finally went down stairs she found her suitcases ready to go by the door. "Darling, sit and eat before the Blacks come." Her mother said with a sternness in her voice. Her mother and father were not the best parents you could as for and they were pureblood supremacists but they were all she had and Alice loved her life. She loved being a pureblood, she loved the closeness of the pureblood family's, she liked her lifestyle and she wasn't defiant. But above all she loved that her and her best friend would be friends through everything and that they had extremely similar lives regarding their parents, which brought them closer together.
Sirius and Alice often thought about Hogwarts and how they'd eat their meals together and sit next to each other in class. Eventually join the quidditch team, or Alice cheering Sirius on from the side line as she wanted to keep her parents happy and do what she was raised to be: a proper lady.
The green eyed girl was dragged out of her thoughts as she heard a voice calling an two pairs of feet running towards her at a great pace. "Ali!" She heard a young boy call. "I'm in here Reggie." Alice called out to the voice and stood up smoothing down her skirt before one of two brothers came bounding in hugging her tightly shortly followed by the older strolling in and leaning against the door frame smirking.
"Now Reggie, you are coming to see Sirius and I off right?" Alice said as the boy was letting go. "Of course i am." Regulus replied in a matter of fact manor. The three children stood smiling at each other before bursting out laughing. Sirius moved closer to the girl who had now calmed down and grabbed her hand leading her out of the room. "We'll be back in a minute Regs wait here whilst Alice and i talk." Sirius muttered.
As the boy dragged her into the library a few rooms down from where they had previously been Sirius stopped and took a deep breathe before starting to speak.
"What ever happens at Hogwarts, i want you to know that i will always be there. We both know from the galas that people don't always stay friends." Alice looked as if she was about to cry, something that she never does. "That's not saying we wont be friends!" Sirius stated quickly trying not to make her upset. Alice looked relived, in those few moments she could feel her future crashing down.

Stranded
Part 2
Giggling erupted throughout the Nobel house of Black as Sirius, Regulus and Alice chased each other through the rooms. Alice Nott and Sirius Black were 11 soon going off the Hogwarts, they had been best friends since they were born and were inseparable.
Alice Nott had soft ginger hair which had soft curls in and mesmerising sea green eyes. She was slightly shorter than Sirius by a few inches and was around the same height as Regulus.
"I can't wait to go to Hogwarts and leave this house," Sirius huffed sitting on the grass in the garden as Alice and Regulus bent over attempting to catch their breaths. Apron hearing his brother's statement Regulus looked at him with sad eyes "but you'll be leaving me." He stated
Sirius looked from Alice to Regulus and started to laugh. The girl girl pulled the younger black into a hug and started telling him that they would be back on the holidays and he could always write letters to the two of them.
"It's only for a year then you'll be with us full time again, and we can sit in the common room together drinking hot chocolate and telling each other how our days were." She said with a soft smile that reached her eyes. Alice turned to Sirius looking for him to agree with her, but his gaze averted from meeting hers "yeah, definitely." He mumbled
The three children sat looking up at the sky until Alice had to go.
Tomorrow was a big day.
Tomorrow would be the day their lives would start.
The day their lives would change, forever.
