Now in the past Mai would usually become so impatient, getting irritated by now. However that was her old self. Having matured and gone through so much, learned things and became more patient. She waited for him to finish what he was doing. "Take all the time you need. I can wait, so no worries."
Once the phone was shown to her, she looked at what he typed. "Oh. Cocoa. Hot chocolate, or hot cocoa. Does that sound about right? There is a cafe that sells some nearby." A good choice, what a shame to hear though that they didn't sell it back home where he came from.
"So you're in luck. Come on, off we go. And as we walk I would like to learn a little more about you. You know quite a bit about me so I think it's only fair." Mai gave him a wink.
"Interesting. Sounds like there's much variety here." Some of those names confused him, perhaps the names were different here compared to everything back home? More than likely, often food and items went under different names in different states. It had been hilarious to hear what others called some species of fish, he recalls vivid memories of hysterical laughter sourcing from the helm as old and new sailors alike regaled one another with tales.
"No no. You are fine. I'm taking time."
His broken words must sound so weird to her, he's trying to pull out his phone to help if he can, scrolling through photos before pulling up an app, biting on his bottom lip absentmindedly as he tries to find the drink he once had shared amongst the crew on the ship. He'd always wanted to find it and try it again. Maybe she would have an idea? Finally he types it out on his phone, translating it before he shows it to her. Kakao - Cocoa

"I once had it but I could never find it back home. Is it available here?"

Mokuba looked from his screen, over to the tablet which was shown to him. So that was the reason why. And as the younger brother had said, even new servers could get a glitch or two in them and not do what is required. "A simple error. It can easily be corrected. Sometimes the system doesn't always catch something as small as that. Which is why you got to go back and look over everything. So. Let me just fix it, and we should be good to go."
"So if I do this, and then that...." After a few minutes of fixing the code, making sure it was right he proceeded to run the update once more. And of course he couldn't help but give a smug grin to his older brother. A simple thing causing so much trouble. "There we go, where it was stuck before it's now moved pass it. And......update done. Whatever would you do without me?"
"Insulted that you think otherwise," Kaiba remarked with a smirk as he pulled his chair to look at Mokuba's screen. His sapphire eyes scanned to the glitch as he pulled up the code in the system. "Damnit," He cursed as he showed the tablet to his little brother "Something in the code was read incorrectly. See here?" He pointed out with a huff.
"When the code got uploaded, the system read and recognised a letter instead of a number. The rest reads it fine sans the one section here; all the same numbers matching it were recognised as letters. How did I even miss that? I thought the system would catch it as well since the rest if fine."

"I'm not weak! I-" No, no she was not weak. Come on Mai pull yourself together, don't let this snake lower your defences so easily. She was telling herself. You are strong, you are strong. The words she repeated over and over in her mind. Mai didn't want to go back to being that broken and lost young woman who thought she was alone.
Taking a deep breath, she did her best to stand tall. Fingers let go of her arms, as she let one fall back to her side while one arm remained raised and a single finger pointed. "I am not going to let you get to me again. Not again! You are so twisted. Reliving that night. How pathetic."
Mai was doing her best to keep what composure she had. Never did she think she was going to have to be in this situation again. "A lot has happened since that time. You may have caught me off guard. However, I sure as hell not going to let you have your way."
" no. "
it's such a simple answer, that two-letter word dripping with the kind of malice that satan himself would have a difficult time managing. mariku's eyes shine with pure glee at her reaction. forcing her to relive those memories, causing her to hold herself in an attempt to keep her composure, it flooded him with power.
he had succeeded in sinking his claws deep into her heart.
" i'm having such a wonderful time reliving that night! " he croons, the shadows dancing menacingly around her. " you thought you had become strong in the aftermath... but all that strength flees from you in my presence. it was a farce. you are weak, mai kujaku. what a shame. "

"Oh no worries. You'll be home before he gets back from work, I promise." And Mai never went back on a promise. Oh, practicing her cooking skills while her brother is working hard. "Interesting. Tell me, what have you learned so far how to cook? If he's still alive you must be cooking some delicious meals." It was a slight jest. Mai was happy that Shizuka was doing something so nice.
"Now, is there anywhere you really want to go? A movie. Or perhaps get something to eat? It will be my treat and we can go anywhere. Just say the word."
"--So long as I'm back before Nii-san gets home from work, I think that's okay." Shizuka seemed excited for this--she had used to hang out with Anzu more often, but lately the older girl seemed to be more and more busy. "He's been working so hard...so I try to practice my cooking skills and make him dinner."

Strange, very strange. Had he seen this woman before. No that couldn't be it, as this was his first time meeting her. And Dartz was just returning the sketchbook. So why couldn't he help feeling that he had met her before. It mattered not. So as long as her sketchbook was intact, that was all that mattered at the moment.
"It would be improper to peek at a ladies things without her permission. I only hope nothing has been damaged within, as it seems important to you. Perhaps you should check the contents to see if all is there." A precaution, if when she dropped it something may have slipped out. And he hadn't noticed. Dartz also returned the smile, if only briefly.
an instant turn around, the voice was aimed at her. blue orbs staring up at the man who handed her dropped sketchbook. she didn't realise it slipped out from under her hand. thankful someone noticed and alerted her to it.
a soft smile came to her lips after, "why thankyou," he had a familiar air to him that iorei couldn't quite recognise, as if she had seen him before but not. "i'm so glad a kind gentleman alerted me without peeking," she'd be embarrassed if anyone saw drawings of her dreams.
#{Muse Dartz}#//It's nice to see someone rp Iorei and take their own spin with her :3#//She honestly deserved better

Recommendations. Oh. Well she had plenty, and it all depended on what he was in the mood for. Perhaps she should have been more specific when inviting him to get a drink. "Sure. I can help you order, it just depends. What do you want to drink? There is machines with drinks like iced coffee. Sodas and among other things." That was just one suggestion.
But if he wanted to go to an actual cafe or shop to get a drink, there was more of a selection of things. "We can get coffee, tea. Juice, lattes. Sodas. Um...." Oh geez there were so many drinks out there that Mai couldn't possibly name every single one off could she.
"Sorry, I hope I didn't overwhelm you did I? So choose what you're most in the mood for and i'll take care of the ordering part. Alright."

"Thank you. It's a learning progress, there's a lot of differences between my home and here." That was something he had noticed, other travelers struggling with signs and even tourists who came to his homeland. It was a progress of trial and error for all, communication was far more than a two way street at the end of the day. A journey that could take a fair time, or even more a lifetime to truly understand. That was the journey part he supposed? "A duelist never gives up all their secrets." He remarks, smiling at her words as he grins, oh yes. He made careful to never show all his skills, unless pushed to the brink. While he hoped to further piece together the pieces and find cards to help bolster his new found deck, there was only so much he could do with the resources he had available.
"Ah. Sure. I may have trouble ordering, do you have any recommendations?"

Mokuba was unsure of how to respond. At least for the moment. Part of him was screaming to just back away, leave and get out of here. The other part was making him stay on the spot. Listening to the words spoken to him. And the other part was winning and so he stayed.
"You want me to assist you? Even though you just said you needed nothing from me. Requiring souls of the strong to bring an end to darkness. Yeah, no. I think I would rather decline then help you."

Holy shit, the devil himself. Mai was kind of hoping she had been wrong but nope. This was Lucifer himself. Standing, right before her. Talking to her. "The written scriptures don't do you justice, that's all I can say. But wow, sorry I am still sort of wrapping my head around this. You're him. HIM. Lucifer."
When Mai had gotten up this morning, the last thing she expected to happen to her is to run into Lucifer. But what was that saying people always seemed to say, or talked about. That angels and devils live among us. Or are watching us. It has been a long time since she last went to church. "Millions of years old, nah you don't look a day over thirty." Mai was trying to lighten the mood a little, since she was shaken by just learning who she was speaking to.
"We humans may be fragile as you say. But don't let that fool you, as we also have strong spirits. Should things ever look bleak, or hopeless. We do what we can and live on. Live each day, until as you mentioned the candle. Or flame we all have ignited within us flickers and goes out." Though humans did take different paths in life. "Six brothers. Sure does sound quite chaotic."
The other shoe be ready to fall when noticing the pieces likely clicking together while Mai busy thinking of what he was talking of.
Ah that very question would earn a soft purr from him and honestly that had him smiling, "The devil or however the written scriptures say? Mhm~ One and the same even if it's laughable of how humans tend to get some details wrong but hmm, I can indulge the curiosity for a bit though." prideful when he be puffing his chest out and more before lifting a finger to his lips as if it be a secret.

"For I be the Morningstar himself yes, little do humans know of why the fall from grace but that be a long story for another time. Also not happy either so there's that, haha. Not bad for one who is millions of years old hmm?" a wink be given when Lucifer be letting more details reveal more and honestly it was amusing really, "Then aging be different from our kind than to humans, humans have such fragile forms but yet they're quite determined in their lifestyle. Lives of humans be like mere flickering candles to our own, so for the young comment? I'll take it as a compliment, glad the greying hairs be not putting me out yet... considered I look after my brothers total of six really and quite chaotic when living together in one house. Which is quite chaotic and loud when explosions happen or someone breaking down a wall when mad but again typical brother behavior, haha." rambling of his brothers and having a fond tone when he spoke of them since he raised them like a Dad too just about due to being like a mother hen to fellow misfit angels be then an how that be to now when demons.

"Yes. Lilac, french lilac actually. That's alright though you did guess right. So. That means we can indeed continue our shopping trip." Violets though, Mai would agree on the fact that they did smell similar. Also why was he acting so strangely? It was not as if she was walking that closely to him. Was she.
"You have a wonderful sense of smell. Normally people can't tell which perfume i'm wearing. I suppose some peoples noses are just, broken." Mai was jesting of course. But in all seriousness, even when she asked her friends they usually couldn't tell what sort of perfume she was wearing.
"So, I was hoping to pick out some new outfits too. A girl can never have too many clothes. With so many boutiques where should we start our shopping. Clothes or since you guessed correctly we can stop at a perfume shop first. There are so many of my favorites I can introduce you to."
Siegfried did in fact stand closer, though respectably so, or perhaps cautiously was a better word. God, he could see it now, the headlines and photos. 'Disgraced CEO Caught Chasing After Dueling Dame'. It was simpler to jump into the Rhine River naked in winter than deal with gossip rags- or so he was learning. Surely a half meter between them couldn't be misconstrued by some bastard with a telephoto lens. Surely...
Coming back to the moment, Siegfried ventured a guess, "Am I picking up on... lilac? Or violets. They do smell similar on occasion."
He could normally tell them apart quite well, but he also normally wasn't in public these days. Not after all the lawsuits and controversy stemming from the Grand Prix. Not with the public and paparazzi alike hanging on his every word just to twist them. He hoped Mai was different.
"If I've guessed incorrectly I do hope ve can still continue our shopping trip."

this is a reminder that i literally do not care if you reply in five minutes, five months, five years. still owe me something and want to start something new? go for it. still owe me something and want to answer memes or send memes instead? go for it. just not jiving with it and want to do something with a different character? go for it. need to disappear into the wilderness and scream at the sky for a few years? no problem. you take any and all the time you need. this is a hobby, it is for fun, it should not ever cause you stress. you do what you want to do when you want to do it. i will never be mad bc you drop something or it takes a year for you to answer it. this is a collaborative hobby that we do for enjoyment and if it isn’t fun, if it isn’t sparking joy, do something else. you take care of you.

Hijacking. So someone was trying to look at information, which was being stored here. To reach Yugi. Mokuba had thought he would maybe get a different answer, but nope. "You know Seto, sometimes I think you can be a little too paranoid. If someone was hijacking into our system to try and access your information about Yugi, they must be desperate." The younger Kaiba knew which Yugi that his brother was speaking about.
Actually when was someone not trying to sabatoge or have some vendetta against Kaiba Corp. As Mokuba continued combing through the data and information. He finally stumbled upon something. "Hey, I think I found something. Right here." Mokuba pointed at the anomally in the data. He had missed it the first time round and just now took notice. "It looks like whoever tried to get this data, was trying to corrupt it. But. It didn't work and also looks like they were an amateur." Not very clever at all. "As for the origin, it looks like it came from somewhere within Kaiba Corp. Gotta say though. Whoever it was, was very sloppy."
And the reason he had missed it, was probably because he was looking over everything fast and not paying proper attention. "You need to keep this data somewhere safer I think."
Humiliations he suffered once were rarely forgotten. Forgiveness he indirectly partially, fragmentality and revality given towards Yugi depending in which manner he could take his revenge against him by win someday against his friends. Forgiveness towards Other Yugi was further relative considering he wanted his main challenge to be worth to challenge him back, and as much he turned out reason of reconsider his brutal and vulgar manners, he wanted this boy suffering the decomposure of defeat from his own hands. Creating tournaments were his guilty pleasure hobbies in which expanding the world with Duel Monsters would giving him endless joys --- though, other third parties decide to settling down themselves, as Yugi among names attracted an common past in which he would end up associated … when the third parties themselves didn't reached to the beginning to hijack his space. For pretending be alright with what going on and appeasing himself down towards previous humiliations, he needed to challenge his rival, wanted to do it in peace --- whatever if it's was an simple card game in which he was proudly handing entire monopoly of it !
By the moment he sensed something was wrong inside these data, bitterness emotion returned deeply inside his lips. Maybe back in the time when he was considering killing people for show his authority, amount of challengers would naturally discreased? Ah, that could be an idea he could put in motion, as it wasn't that much dramatic if some accident happened to people that wanted to causing him some, but he was certain Other Yugi would judge him with discontentement and be angry at him --- between hypocrites understanding exactly their manners to mentally think when such impuslves tempted their little hands ! Forgetting almost the presence of his little brother, decomposure of his smile showed another degree of frustration he needed to tamed down at the second. Someone attempted already to steal his society for him. Next challenger should have read little lines when it concerned to attempting such things on him. ❝ In middle of it, when I looked the informations. Something was off. Deja-vu impression of to be hijacking at distance, as some reckless people thought they could do it towards Kaiba Corporation. ❞ He was so close to writing a disclaimer in case of any consequences of direct attack on him, for depending himself on the justice if he needed to accidentally bring dramatic measures. ❝ I'm not stupid. The Kaiba Corporation must be just a way to reach Yugi at their pleasure, using me as a tool to get what they wanted. I should smell the bill to Yugi someday, maybe he will understand trouble he persistently gave me. ❞
Yugi as the Other Yugi, but he guessed his brother understood.
