“Well, I am glad to at least have found one person to share them with. Water jokes without an understanding audience, after all?”

Proud to help, Life grabbed the vegetables and walked over, smiling widely. It smelled great. He couldn’t wait to eat some of this delicous food. His stomach started to growl, clearly telling him that he was still hungry. “I will be CAReful! I hope this is ENough and that it will help with the meal.”

A Whole New World (Life/Danny)

This pleased Life to know. He really didn’t want to be scolded at the moment, knowing that his father and Vita would do it when he got home. Knowing that he could avoid it for now was very refreshing. “Ah, yes. NOThing else Seems to hurt me for now...”

Life looked up at him and pouted. “SHould... SHould SOMEThing else be HURting me...?”

Out Shopping

The stranger seemed upset at the admission of lying, and Hiro rushed to calm him. “Oh, no it’s quite alright, it can be a challenge to admit to getting hurt. If you think you need a clinic, I can direct you to it. Is it just your arm that’s hurt?” 

Though the mention of ziplining made was frightening to Hiro, he tried not to overreact and make him feel any worse. Urging caution could wait until later, and after all, he supposed ziplines were rather well secured.

Oh boy, was he in trouble? Life looked up with a sad look, pouting. “Ah, yes! I am... COMPLEtely fine...” He looked back at his arm and rubbed it a bit. No, he shouldn’t lie. Good boys didn’t lie. If he lied, then he would be making his father sad. He didn’t want that.

“No, um, I am Sorry that I lied to you...” Life muttered, looking at the ground. He may be telling the truth, but he was still feeling bad about it. “I Kinda hurt MYself on the ZIPLines. I CONTInued to Crash into the Trees they are all CONNEcted to...”

Out Shopping

Hiro had returned from shopping, large grocery bags in hand as he walked through the village. He hadn’t been able to find a new uniform yet, but that was a task that could wait until another day; in the meantime, he wanted to get back early to do some work before the appointment at 5. 

On the way, he spotted a traveller to his left; there seemed to be a lot more visiting the town since he had lived here last. He was about to go on his way when he noticed the stranger holding his arm. Hiro realized he was probably overreacting, but feeling concerned nonetheless, he approached him. 

“Uh- good evening,” he said, trying to get the travellers attention. “Is everything alright.”

That was good. Life wouldn’t have minded if he had to chop more vegetables for their meal. He had to agree with Danny, cooking with someone was really nice. He never had anyone to cook with besides his dog. Not even Vita, his father’s maid, let him lend a hand with the meals. Cooking with someone was nice.

“I do Agree with you. COOking with SOMeone is very ENOYable.” Looking at the items he was chopping, he beamed proudly at Danny. “I BELieve I FINIshed! Is this ACCEPTable, Danny?”

Oh, it is very AMAzing! I hope you do pay a Visit, LILlian. I Think you Might ACTUally Enjoy the Place. It can be very BEAUTiful.

Oh, I have Never really paid ANyone a visit. I just WAnder ARound and There is a kind RANcher in BLUebell that has TAught me About farm ANImals. I have not talk to many PEople OUTside of him.

[ Gives a simple nod as she speaks, trying to take all this new information in. Electronic Farming Devices? It did all sound quite impressive, but beyond anything she could comprehend, living in such a rustic town. ] Ah, wow! That all sounds so amazing… I’ll have to make a note to visit – er – if that’s okay with you Life! 

 You’ve been here before…? Huh… [ Smiles, shrugging her shoulders. ] I’ve never seen you before but that’s no surprise… I can be pretty absent minded sometimes… But yeah, I am pretty lucky to have found this place, that’s for sure!

Konohana really was beautiful. Countless times, he made the trip up and down the hill between the two villages. Bluebell was splendid, but he just enjoyed Konohana a bit more. Maybe it was how in touch they were with the plants and how well they took care of them. He did always want to introduce fertilizer to his crops, but he just didn’t know how to do it just yet. His father had advised him to wait a while before finally doing so.

Waiting was hard for Life, though.

It was mysterious. Before his new developments, Life had been a very patient fellow. He did what his father told him and even strangers. Now, he just seemed... different. He wasn’t so sure what the reason was, but he liked it. He enjoyed the new sense of freedom this new change gave him. Often, he felt like he was ruler of the world and it felt wonderful. Of course, something like that had it’s consequences.

Like right now, for instance. Poor Life held his bruised arm to himself as he wandered back into Konohana. He wasn’t that great on the zip lines that went through the the mountain. Often, he would crash right into a tree and hurt himself. It wasn’t anything serious, but it did hurt him a bit. It was clearly a sign that told him that he should take a break and head back to the inn for a bit of rest.

Out Shopping

The clinic wasn’t usually busy, aside from regular checkups and filling prescriptions. Without much to do, Hiro had become a sort of errand boy, filling out paperwork, restocking and reorganizing, and shopping for supplies, whether they were medical or everyday. Today was mostly a shopping day. As he walked in the pleasantly chilly weather, being careful of ice, he looked over the list he had made the night before:

Send checkup reminders + medication orders

Get new work uniform

Groceries- vegetables, flour, milk, rice, cooking oil

Be back for patient appointment at 5 pm

Go out and have fun for a change, seriously

Hiro eyed the last item suspiciously, noting the different handwriting. Ayame, of course. He had studying to get to still, why was she always trying to get him out of the clinic? What, was his cooking that bad? He chuckled at the thought as he continued on his way.

Life continued to snicker, immensely enjoying himself and this man’s company. “I am Sorry to hear that. PERhaps they do not POSess a Funny bone in Their body. What a Shame! PERhaps they need to be OPERated on to fix that.”

Leon let out a small chuckle at the other’s reaction. Truly, this was so amusing to watch.

“Nyat to brag, but I know I’m purrfect at what I do. Unfortunately, not as many enjoy them as much as mew do.”

Well, the ISland is REally big! We have all Sorts of ELECTRonic DEVices There to help us with FARming, but our town is very Small. I ALways Think that SOMeone Would have Heard of us BECause of that, but I am ALways PRoven Wrong. *He smiles back at her.* But that is SUrely not a bad Thing! They REally are WONDErful SECrets. I have seen both BLUebell and KONOhana and they are ABSOLUtely BEAUTiful. You are so Lucky to live in a Place like this.

Hmm… [ Pauses for a brief moment, trying to recall if she had heard of it. ] No, I can’t say I have… Is it a small place? Most small places aren’t very popular… But that’s just like it is here, in both Bluebell and Konohana. [ Nods, giving the man a quick smile. ] But they’re like the best kept secrets too, ♥

I am glad you feel that way! *He took his hand back, putting it behind his back with his other hand and swaying.* I am not! I come from HEARTFlame ISland. Have you Heard of it? If not, I UNDERStand. I have met a lot of PEople who have not Heard of it BEfore.

… Life. [ A gentle name. Even from their brief interactions, she could tell it suited him. ] It’s very nice to meet you too! So… I have to ask, I’ve never seen you around before so – are you not from here?

*He looked at her dress, suppressing a giggle. Farming could be dirty work, naturally. There was nothing anyone could do about that. He was befuddled when she took her hand back but happily took her hand and shook it.* Nice to meet you, LILlian. I am Life!

Ah! I am very Happy to meet you. I am ALways LOOking to meet new FARmers and I am Happy to meet you INdeed.

[ Blinks, at first taken back by the man’s strange speech pattern but gives a warm smile regardless. ]

Oh – Is it that obvious I’m a farmer? [ Looks down to notice her dress, now mud stained from hours in the barns and fields. ]

[Quietly:] Oh, I suppose it is…

Uh – anyway –! I’m Lillian. [Offers out her hand with a smile on her face, drawing it back for a moment to check it’s not stained like her dress, and offering it back once more. ] I’m happy to meet you as well!

Life tilted his head to the side. She sure was interested in him all of a sudden. He wasn’t sure ow to feel about the attention being on him, but he suppose it would be something that he would eventually get use to. “Uh... not that I know of. My FAther is very kind and he Uses his EXPERIMents to help Those on the ISland. Is that so bad?”

As Life continued to laugh, he fell to his knees and wrapped his arms around himself some more. “You are the best with These Jokes, my FRiend! I hope you have more FRIends who APPRECiate your TALents.”

The other’s laughter only helped to fuel him some more.

“Thank you. I’ve been told that I’m pretty punny. But ofcorpse, I’ll try to slim down on them. We don’t want any casualties, now do we?”

*Life quickly looked at the bridge and jumped up happily.* Is that so? Thank you for your help! I GREatly APPRECiate it. *Before he took a step towards the farm, he stopped and looked at the man who helped him.* BEfore I go... is it okay with you if I keep you COMpany? *Life looked behind him and smiled at the tiny shop. It was nothing like the shops on the island. Then again, with an island that relied on technology, everything was different there. He looked up at him as he mentioned it not being around, frowning and confused at this. He didn’t question it, though.*

Oh, I am not LOOking for ANYThing in PARTICular... Just some new Farms so that I may Learn About Their FARming TECHNIques. Do you know of any?

Salutations [Life/Louis]

[Louis’s smile faltered only for a moment— taken off guard suddenly by the odd fluctuation in the stranger’s tone of voice. The second time it came around, however, Louis had caught himself well enough to put the polite smile back on.]

I do— I live in that building there, in fact. [He points out the lab beside the tool shop.] The tool shop next door is mine as well, though it won’t be open for another hour or so. It is a lovely valley, and probably one that deserves a great deal more tourism than it gets these days. ..Though I suppose that’ll change soon enough. [He shrugs, his smile turning sad for a moment - before he catches himself once more.]

*Life always thought about growing flowers, but they never looked as beautiful as the ones before him. Sure, they grew, but he compared their beauty to be... average. The ones before him were extraordinary. If he could, he would stare at them for hours. But life had something else in mind for him.*

*He looked up at the newcomer and beamed up at him, pleased by such a warm greeting.* I am! I Guess you live ARound here, huh? It is such a nice Place to Visit. It is calm and Quiet, Which is so UNlike HEARTFlame ISland.

*He had been to this valley for sure. Life couldn't place his finger on it, but he had been there. Perhaps it was to meet someone or talk to someone else about something. He just couldn't be sure. After losing himself for the millionth time, he sat down in the grass and admired the nearby flowers. It didn't hurt to take a break... but he would rather figure out where he was and where he ought to go by now.*

[The bit of garden just outside his shop did not belong to the inventor, but that did not stop Louis from slowing down to admire it from time to time. The well-cultivated flowers were a testament to the care and love that had been put into them, and that was certainly something even Louis could admire. For reasons.]

[Today, however, Louis noticed a young man he did not recognize near said flowers as he opened his front door. He had an hour before the tool shop was scheduled to open and had been planning to sit outside for a bit and enjoy the garden, but now it would appear he might have to share the space with a stranger.]

[Well, only one thing to do in that case: make him not a stranger.]

Hello, sir. [Louis smiled, giving the stranger a wave as he approached.] Are you visiting town?
