Having been separated from his friends in this desolate Inaba… no, this was the worst case scenario. With shadows lurking nearby– potentially his own, or his friends– Yosuke was constantly feeling watched. Hell, even Teddie would have eased his nerves… only a smidgen, of course.

In the dark, he swears he hears a voice. So close to his ear, yet much deeper than any foe so far– was this the voice that threatened them before…? Had to be…

Those words, however, cut deep. As much as he hated to admit to it, those deep insecurities– secretly being hated for who he is, knowing that he isn’t the best person… no, he couldn’t stand that. He did want the truth, he didn’t want to weave a web of lies…

Dammit! This voice was just messing with him! He can’t let it get to him!

The patter of rain outside his window had lulled him into complete relaxation, his eyes blinking slowly as he flipped through his textbooks and barely taking in the words. He read and re-read, attempting to take in the jumble.

Just as he was starting to fall asleep, his phone pinged from next to him, a welcome distraction to the monotony of studying. Closing the book and picking it up, he felt shock when he saw whom it was from. He had kept Katsuragi in his contacts just in case, but never thought he’d hear from him again these past few years.
