I feel like I cannot be alone in missing the point of all the posts in this site that are:

the words of one song set to the tune of another song

composite videos of the same dudes dancing with themselves

because to my brain most songs sound pretty much the same and most people look vaguely alike.

My little guy stayed with me all day the one time I accidentally got way too high and gave myself 12 hours of debilitating vertigo <3

I recently had surgery, and at the time I came home, I had both my cat and one of my grandma's cats staying with me.

- Within hours of surgery, I wake up from a nap to my cat gently sniffing at my incisions with great alarm.

- I was not allowed to shower the first day after surgery, and the cats, seeing that The Large Cat is not observing its cleaning ritual, decided I must be gravely disabled and compensated by licking all the exposed skin on my arms, face, and legs.

- I currently have to sleep with a pillow over my abdomen because my cat insists on climbing on top of me and covering my incisions with her body while I sleep (which is very sweet but not exactly comfortable without the pillow). She also lays across me facing my bedroom door, presumably on guard for attackers who may try to harm me while I'm sleeping and injured.

That's love. 🐈‍⬛🐈❤️

There is literally no circumstance where I support age verification to access a website. As I've said before I'm very much the "there's nuance here" person on almost everything but on this issue there's no nuance for me, it's awful and horrible in and of itself and it also sets an awful and horrible precedent

Something else I find weird is the seemingly wide assumption that 'who you're following' = 'who you agree with.' I follow people who post things that range from 100%-cosign to not-my-cup-of-tea to holy-shit-that's-appalling. My follow is not an endorsement - it just means I want to keep up with what someone's saying. And sometimes I want to see what someone's saying because I'm fascinated by how wrong they are.

its honestly bananas to me that so many on this website seem to assume that someone's tumblr output is an accurate reflection of their real life priorities and activism and all of their beliefs in order of how hard they believe them. like. idk about you guys but i'm reblogging things that i want to reblog not keeping a minute by minute record of my deepest held beliefs. for one thing my deepest held beliefs are mostly not about star wars

Whenever I read novels in Yiddish it takes almost exactly 100 pages for me to click with the author's diction etc. Idk why, but it is so consistent: 1st 100 pages feel like decoding and then BAM! page one-oh-one I'm reading baby!
