I was legit kinda disappointed with Ron’s reaction in half blood prince cause in the book before I think it was, he legit sneakily told ginny “pick Harry” as her next boyfriend, so I hoped he’d smile at least.

“I am really hot,” Sirius said, ignoring the later half of what James said. Or at least, James thought that he ignored it. But then Sirius slung his arm over Lily’s shoulder and leaned in close. “Do you think I have a shit personality?” 

“What?” Lily narrowed her eyes, pulling her attention from the Charms book she’d been reading, looking up at both James and Sirius. “No. I think you’re great. I only started dating James so that I could hang out with you.” 

“Hey!” James leaned forward, wondering why he’d let Sirius sit next to his girlfriend in the first place. How did he end up on the couch across from the two of them. 

“Are you being mean to, Sirius?” Lily asked James with her brows raised, as though if he said yes, he might be in trouble. 

“No, I’m not being mean, I told him he’s fit.” 

“He did say that.” 

“I mean, he can’t really argue against it,” Lily said, letting her eyes flit back to her book. 

“True,” Sirius smirked, bouncing his brows at James. 

“Sirius, you’re the worst.” 

“James! Be nice!” But James could see the smirk playing at the corners of Lily’s mouth.

“fuck, i think i caught feelings” Hinny please! 😘

“Fuck.”

“Eloquent as usual,” Ginny says with a wry grin as she perches on the couch at Harry’s feet.

“Just - look Gin!”

She pats his feet, doing her best impression of a serious moment of comiseration. “I see

“I think - I’ve caught feelings. How?”

“Dunno. Happened once with me and I figured it was like Halley’s Comet,” Ginny teases.

Harry sticks his tongue out. Quite mature. “This is Hermione’s fault.”

“She knew Ron was even softer than you.”

Harry hiffs and Ginny adds, “I told you not to name it.”

“No she thinks I need to ‘feel more’ or some shit. Plus this little thing looks exactly like Mcgonagall.”

The little furry bundle on his chest snuggles closer and Harry sighs so it rises and falls with his inhale and exhale. “And now I have a kitten.”

Ginny smirks and scratches the tufty little head right between its ears. “So it would seem.”
